Description
The invention relates to a method for producing corrosion-resistant wear protection layers. The invention may preferably be applied in the hydraulic industry, further in the automotive industry, shipbuilding, textile machinery, the printing industry, and the food and beverage machine industry.
Dabei werden die Druckeigenspannungen in den Nickelschichten durch Zugabe von Gemischen organischer Glanzbildner, die spannungsmindernde Zusätze enthalten, erzeugt (DD-WP 219803).Known are electrolytically produced layer systems of semi-bright nickel with subsequently applied chromium layer, for the purpose of corrosion and wear protection. Layer systems are also known in which electrolytically deposited chromium layers of 10 μm-8 μm are applied to 5 μm thick to 30 μm thick electrolytically deposited nickel layers having compressive stresses of 20 MPa to 60 MPa. The residual compressive stresses in the nickel layers are produced by adding mixtures of organic brighteners which contain stress-reducing additives (DD-WP 219803).
Disadvantages of these methods are the high costs for the production of nickel intermediate layers due to the consumption of organic chemicals and the low stretchability of the layers compared to the uncoated base material. Furthermore, double hard chromium processes and poly hard chromium processes are known for simultaneous corrosion and wear protection. In the case of the double-hard chrome method, a second chromium layer made of a cold-chromium electrolyte is applied to a lower chromium layer made of a hot-chromium electrolyte, which is to take over the corrosion protection, for wear protection. The polychromic process uses a similar layer structure, but the two layers are deposited from an electrolyte by changing the coating conditions. Disadvantages of these methods are the higher environmental protection costs due to the greater chromium layer thicknesses, higher costs for the chrome plating as well as the lower extensibility of the layers.
The aim of the invention is to produce with little effort and minimum environmental impact layer systems that ensure both corrosion and wear protection, as well as achieve a long service life in terms of elongation and oscillatory stress.
The invention has for its object to develop a method for producing corrosion-resistant wear protection layers that protect the coated component against complex stress in terms of corrosive action, wear stress, strain on strain and / or vibratory load.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by initially applying to the base material a well-stretchable nickel layer of known electrolytes having an elongation of up to 28% (measured values without bonding to the base material), which after a mechanical intermediate treatment (eg polishing). is coated with a chromium layer to increase the wear resistance. The mechanical intermediate treatment improves the composite by crimping defects (corrosion protection effect), activation of the surface (adhesion improvement) and equalization of the elastic-plastic behavior of the intermediate nickel layer to the chromium layer.
Zur Herstellung der dehnfähigen Nickelschicht werden dabei Nickelelektrolyte folgender Zusammensetzung eingesetzt:To produce the expandable nickel layer, nickel electrolytes of the following composition are used:
Nickelgehalt 40g/l bis 60g/l als Nickelsulfat und Nickelchlorid,Nickel content 40g / l to 60g / l as nickel sulphate and nickel chloride,
Chloridgehalt 8g/l bis 12g/l als Natriumchlorid oder Nickelchlorid undChloride content 8g / l to 12g / l as sodium chloride or nickel chloride and
Borsäure 25g/l bis 40g/l ohne Zusatz organischer Verbindungen,Boric acid 25g / l to 40g / l without added organic compounds,
wobei der Elektrolyt beim Auftreten anorganischer Verunreinigungen gereinigt werden muß.wherein the electrolyte must be cleaned when inorganic contaminants occur.
Die Beschichtungsbedingungen betragen dabei:The coating conditions are:
pH-Wert 3 bis 4,2; Elektrolyttemperatur 400C bis 500C; Stromdichte 1 A/dm2 bis 5 A/dm2.pH 3 to 4.2; Electrolyte temperature 40 ° C. to 50 ° C.; Current density 1 A / dm 2 to 5 A / dm 2 .
Der Hauptvorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Lösung besteht darin, daß neben dem Korrosions- und Verschleißschutz die Schichten auch gegen mechanische und schwingende Beanspruchung bei vergleichsweise geringem Herstellungsaufwand beständigThe main advantage of the solution according to the invention is that in addition to the corrosion and wear protection, the layers also resistant to mechanical and vibratory stress at relatively low cost
Die Erfindung soll nachstehend an folgendem Ausführungsbeispiel erläutert werden:The invention will be explained below with reference to the following embodiment:
