Abstract
The invention relates to a method for connecting switch contacts with contact spring material for switching contacts made of carbon or graphite and copper-alloyed contact spring material, which is characterized in that between the copper-alloyed contact spring material and the carbide-forming intermediate layer material titanium by means of Widerstandserwaermung a molten phase is formed, which wet the switch contact and can penetrate into the pores. After solidification of the molten phase in the pores of the switching contact this is fixed to the contact spring. The thermal load is so low that the spring properties of the Kontakttraegers are not adversely affected.
Description
The connection is made in a very short time, with the metal part being heated only locally.
Charakteristik der bekannten technischen LösungenCharacteristic of the known technical solutions
It is known to join carbon with carbide-forming metals (Donally, R.G., Slaughter, G.M., Welding Journal [1982] 5,461-469). With compounds inert to carbon, such as Cu, Ag and Sn, no compounds are produced (Naidic: International Conference on the Use of Synthetic Diamonds in Industry, Kiev, 14.-18.9.1971) To achieve maximum strengths, the joining times are not according to the method under 30 minutes. Joining temperatures above the eutectic temperature between a carbide-forming metal and carbon are usually above 1 500 K (Trifonovic,
A. L., Verfahren zum Löten von Graphitteilen, DE-OS 2002889).A. L., method for soldering graphite parts, DE-OS 2002889).
Es ist bekannt, Kohlebürsten in einem Kupfermantel mechanisch zu fassen und anschließend zu verlöten (Keil, A.; Merl, W. A.; Vinaricky, E., Elektrische Kontakte und ihre Werkstoffe, Springer Verlag 1984).It is known to mechanically grasp carbon brushes in a copper jacket and then to solder them (Keil, A., Merl, W.A., Vinaricky, E., Electrical Contacts and Their Materials, Springer Verlag 1984).
Metallhaltige Kohlebürsten werden mit verzinntem Kupfer verbunden (DD-PS 142108).Metal-containing carbon brushes are connected with tin-plated copper (DD-PS 142108).
Danach wird die Verbindung mit einem Silber-Kupfer-Lot hergestellt (DE-OS 3303568).Pure graphite plates without metal content are connected to a metal in that a galvanic layer - consisting of a carbide-forming element (Ti, Mo) - must be applied to the graphite plate. Thereafter, the compound is prepared with a silver-copper solder (DE-OS 3303568).
Zum Löten eines Kohlenstoffwerkstoffes ist als Vorbehandlung eine Metallisierung mit Kupfer, Zinn oder Nickel erforderlich (Kindler, A.; Ulsamer, W., Fügen von Kohlenstoffwerkstoffen mit Metallen und Kunststoffen durch Löten und Kleben, DVS-BerichtNr.66, S.65-69).For brazing a carbon material, metallization with copper, tin or nickel is required as a pretreatment (Kindler, A., Ulsamer, W., joining carbon materials to metals and plastics by brazing and gluing, DVS Report No.66, p.65-69 ).
Die beschriebenen Verfahren weisen folgende Mangel auf:The described methods have the following shortcomings:
Parts of carbon without metallic admixtures can only be connected if the carbon parts are coated with a galvanic layer and then brazed with a mostly silver-containing solder or often also soldered. With the soldering, the operating temperature and the current carrying capacity are limited. Only mechanical adhesion of electroplated layers of carbon-inert metals (e.g., Cu) is not sufficient for many applications. In addition, electrolyte residues can be dragged, which pose a risk of corrosion.
.4 zeigt, daß das Erwärmen der zu verbindenden Teile 1 und 2 sowie des karbidbildenden Metalls 5 oder der eutektischen lierung 5 auch durch einen Laser-oder Elektronenstrahl 9 oder durch Strahlungserwärmung über den Heizer 10 erfolgen.4 shows that the heating of the parts to be joined 1 and 2 and the carbide-forming metal 5 or the eutectic lierung 5 also by a laser or electron beam 9 or by radiation heating via the heater 10
i Verfahren läuft folgendermaßen ab:i procedure is as follows:
gereinigte Metallunterlage 2 (ζ. Diese flüssige lierung benetzt sehr gut die Oberfläche der Kohlenstoffwerkstoffe und vermag schlagartig in die Poren von iphitwerkstoffen einzudringen.cleaned metal underlay 2 (ζ.Bu.Cu) and the carbide-forming element or eutectic alloy 5 (eg, Ti or Cu tiling) are placed in a fixture of the welding machine. Under a preselected pressure, a certain current is allowed to flow through the wall. Due to the relatively high electrical resistance of the carbon parts, joining times of up to 3 seconds only occur in the order of magnitude of the contact surface for heating. After exceeding the ectischen temperature between carbide-forming and base material it comes to a liquefaction. This liquid lation wets very well the surface of the carbon materials and can penetrate abruptly into the pores of iphitwerkstoffen.
When the liquefaction starts, the current flow is immediately interrupted.
Heat necessary for the liquefaction can also be introduced via the laser part or heat beam via the heater 10 via a carbon or electron beam 9.
