The invention relates to an arrangement for selecting * spectral sections from an overall spectrum. It is used for the spectral analysis of selected detection spectral lines or for representing selected spectral sections from a large spectral range with relatively high spectral resolution and high optical conductivity of the dispersing optical system.
Gemäß der Gitterformel sin<Vg + sin /% = m-^l^G^1,9 bestimmt die obere Grenzwellenlänge des abzutastenden Spektralbereiches die maximal verwendbare Gitterfurchenzahl pro Millimeter'(G) und damit das Auflösungsvermögen des Monοchromatο rs.PUr einen großen, abzutastendenC characteristic of the known technical solution When using known grating monochromators with echelette gratings and high reciprocal linear dispersion, it is often necessary to traverse large grating angles in order to change the spectral lines or spectral sections to be examined. For this purpose, the highest requirements with regard to positioning accuracy and bearing production of the diffraction gratings are to be placed on the grid drive mechanisms used. According to the lattice formula sin <Vg + sin /% = m- ^ l ^ G ^ 1.9, the upper limit wavelength of the spectral range to be scanned determines the maximum usable lattice number per millimeter '(G) and thus the resolution of the MonoC romat.PUr a large, be scanned

Spectral range may be necessary to work with two or more grids or spectral orders. The lattice change mechanisms also require the highest level of positioning accuracy and warehouse production. A disadvantage is the associated expenditure of time until remote wavelength positions are reached Other known technical solutions use monochrome blinds with an echelle grating and crossed dispersion, whereby the spectrum is generated by the echelle grating in many spectral orders A cross-dispersion element separates the orders into individual lines.
In arrangements for crossed dispersion, only a small entrance slit height of the optical system can be selected to represent a large spectral range due to the order line separation, so that the light conductance and thus the spectral radiant power of the optical system is limited.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art and to image individual spectral lines or spectral sections of a large spectral range with high resolution, high light conductance and reduced scattered light component on a receiver and perform the change between individual spectral lines or spectral sections in a short time.

Arrangement for the selection of spectral sections from a total spectrum, in which the radiation of a radiation source is directed in succession to a dispersing element of a pre-mono-chromator, to an echelle lattice of an echel system provided with further imaging elements, and to a receiver system via an illumination optical system located in the beam path, the pre-monochromator and the Echelle system are optically interconnected by a common gap, according to the invention solved in that the dispersion planes of the dispersing element and the Echellegitter are substantially parallel to each other, that the common gap is at least approximately disposed in the meridional Cup level of the Vormonoehromators, and that the dispersing element, the common gap, the receiver system, the echelle grating and / or at least one of the imaging elements are controllably coupled to one another in their setting functions for wavelength selection are. In this case, either the echelle lattice and the imaging elements are fixed in the beam path and at least parts of the receiver system along a spectral order generated by Echellegitter arranged displaceably, or the receiver system is fixedly arranged in the beam path and the echelle grating and at least one of the imaging elements are rotatably mounted about axes which are essentially parallel to the grooves of the echelle grating. The displaceable and rotatable elements are each assigned a further computer-controlled adjusting element.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the schematic drawing. A radiation source 1 is followed by a lighting optical system 3 and an entrance slit 4 of a preceding monochromator 5 designed as a Czerny-Turner arrangement along a beam path 2. The monochromator also consists of an eollimulator mirror 6, a back mirrored prism 7 rotatably disposed about an axis parallel to its refractive edge, and a camera mirror 8. A gap 9 of variable gap width is simultaneously formed as the exit slit of the pre-monochromator 5 and as the entrance slit of the Echelle system 10 is provided. Cams 12 and 13 connected to a stepping motor each have levers 14 and 15 secured to the prism 7 and the gap 9, respectively, which are schematically indicated in the drawing. The Echellesystem 10, also designed as a Czerny-Turner arrangement, except the gap 9 consists of a collimator 16 a Echellegitter 17 and a camera mirror 18. An exit slit 19, which is located in the non-illustrated meridional focal plane of Echelle system 10, and a Umleiokelement 20 are mounted on a movable on Pahrungsstange 21 holder 22 which is coupled via a drive spindle with a stepper motor 24. The stepper motors 11 and 24 are controlled via a microcomputer 25, which has a data input 26. Bin radiation current receiver 27 is arranged downstream of the exit slit 19.
1 outgoing radiation enters via the illumination optics 3 and the entrance slit 4 in the Vormonochromator 5, is spectrally decomposed by the prism 7, and parts of the radiation pass over

Lineardispersion. The gap 9 in the Echellesystem 10. Through Echellegitter 17 takes place a further decomposition of the light, before it is directed via the exit slit 19 and the deflecting element 20 to the radiation current receiver. The driven by the stepper motor cam 12 and 13 adjust by means of the levers 14 and 15, the prism 7 and the gap 9 so that by rotation of the prism 7, the entire spectrum is moved over the gap 9, and that at the same time selected by the gap width setting the spectral order is in which the desired spectral line or the spectral section is located. As a result of the diffraction of the radiation passing through the gap 9 through the echelle grating 17, a superimposed-free spectral order with a high reciprocal origin arises in the meridional cup level of the echelle system. Linear dispersion.
In order to achieve a sharp lateral boundary of the spectral orders to be imaged, the gap 9 is arranged in the meriodional focal plane of the pre-monochromator 5.
The arrangement according to the invention has a high. Conductance, since the prism 7 and the Echellegitter the radiation in the same plane to disperse, and therefore the gap height of column 4 and 9 can be fully utilized in the cup level of the echelle system. Since both prisms and echelle gratings image a straight gap as curved lines, the pre-monochromator 5 and the echelle system 10 are positioned relative to each other so that the gap curvatures caused by prism and echelle gratings are compensated in their sighting.
Zur Einstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung auf eine Wellenlänge Άχ wird erstens die zugehörige Spektralordnung m aus den im Mikrorechner 25 gespeichertenTo set the arrangement according to the invention to a wavelength Άχ , first of all , the associated spectral order m is stored in the microcomputer 25

Daten ermittelt. Data determined. As a second step, the pre-monochromator 5 is adjusted via the microcomputer 25 by prism rotation and gap width change so that the spectral order m appears in the cup level of the egg system 10, in which the wavelength section to be selected is located. Thirdly, micro-computer 25 calculates a displacement position ···, -2 * for exit slit 19 along the spectral order m, where %m represents the center wavelength of spectral order m. In a fourth step, the position of the wavelength P * is approached with the exit slit 19, controlled by the microcomputer 25 and driven by the stepping motor 24. By dividing the wavelength change in a change of the spectral orders and shift within a short order line, the arrangement according to the invention allows a substantially long change between sections with large wavelength spacing as monochromators with echelette grating. The effort for positioning the elements of the arrangement according to the invention is compared to a scanning monochromator with Echelettegitter lower 5 because the Vormonochromatorprisma 7 and the gap 9 are positioned in a few recurring steps according to the order used m and 'in the cup level of Echelleystems only a continuous reproducible positioning within a The receiver combination of exit slit and radiation current receiver can also be replaced by an image receiver, for example a line receiver, which can be arranged displaceably if the line length is insufficient in a manner similar to the exit slit.

The pre-monochromator and echelle system may also be designed as another optical system, eg Littrow system. Instead of the prism in the Vormonochromator also an Echelettegitter is usable. In a further embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention, the receiver combination is fixedly arranged in the beam path, while the echelle grating or the camera mirror of the echelle system can be adjusted so as to be rotatable parallel to the groove profile of the echelle grating and via a stepping motor controlled by the data of the computer.
Dadurch läuft die gesamte ausgewählte Spektra!Ordnung über die Mitte der Fokalebene des Echellesystems ab·As a result, the entire selected spectral order passes over the center of the focal plane of the echelle system.
