They contain galvanic cells with oxidic solid electrolytes, which usually consist of stabilized zirconium dioxide. For example, use is made of devices which have a tube which is open on both sides of a pestle electrolyte or of parts made of a solid electrolyte which, except for a capillary opening, is provided with a seal. sowie mit Temperaturfühlern und Prüfgasleitungen ausgerüstet sein können.as well as with temperature sensors and test gas lines.
In order to detect flammable gas constituents besides oxygen, it has been proposed to measure the voltage between an electrode of Pt, Pd or Rh and an electrode of Ag or Au. It was further proposed from one of the Keßgasraum to. on a narrow passage (capillary, gap or PoceiLL separated space by means of a galvanic cell via a Sauerstoffionenleitenen Pestelektrolyten the oxygen and thereby to measure the time of flow of a constant current or the number of necessary current pulses to almost complete * oxygen separation.
Known is the ability to impregnate porous inert body with electrolyte substances and to use for the construction of Pestelektrolytzellen. Such cells with carbonate electrolyte and silver electrodes have been proposed for the potentiometric determination of oxygen and carbon dioxide. More recently, it has been demonstrated that many gaseous anhydrides can be potentiometarily determined in oxygen-containing gases with cells containing salts with oxyanions of the anhydrides as solid electrolytes. If the oxygen ρ ar ti al pressure in Hessgas is equal to that in the reference gas, for example, Spuyenmessungen in air, the influence of this pressure on the Zellspannurig stands out. However, when the oxygen partial pressure in the measurement gas varies widely, for example in measurements in flue gases, it must be taken into account, for which purpose the combination of the signals of an SOp, COp or KOp sensor with the signal of an oxygen sensor has been proposed. In order to avoid inconvenient gas reference electrodes having a known content of SO 2, CO 2 or CO 3, fixed reference electrodes made of a metal and the corresponding salt of this metal can be used. As far as no reducing gas acts, reference electrode *! of silver and silver sulphate, carbonate or nitrate in solid solution in the solid electrolyte material.

For each gas analysis method with solid electrolytic cells and for every kind of solid electrolyte, special constructions have been specified, whereas constructions of gas measuring probes, which can be used multifunctionally, are missing. Many proposed devices do not meet the requirements of a simple safe assembly in industrial mass production so far; After many consecutive production steps, simple, secure electrical supply lines to the measuring cell are often not guaranteed. In many cases, metallic components are used where better ceramic parts should be used to avoid corrosive.

The connection to the guide tube and the sealing of all openings at this connection point are achieved in one step at high temperature. The parts used as well as the specified construction offer significant advantages for a relatively simple series production. In addition to the very variable application possibilities, the use of non-corrosive ceramic parts, without interruption from the probe, makes it possible for large tube diameters and dust retention by means of filters with a small pore width to provide favorable conditions for a large amount of stability.

Anstelle der Metallplättchen 8 können z.B. auch, zimderfeste LIata 11 röhrchen 18 iibergesteckt undThe construction of a simple solid electrolyte cell with the solid electrolyte tube 1, the outer electrode 2, the inner electrode 10, the Keramikisolierröhrchen 3 »bore 6 in the notch 5 and with the use of Mehrfachkapillarrohrs 7 permanently mounted electrode leads 4 and 11 in the plan view, 1 and rotated by 90 ° after insertion in des'Führungsrohr 13 with the insulating tube 14 in section the Pig. 2. Only after the connection of the solid electrolyte cell with the guide tube, after checking the cell function and, if appropriate, the internal electrode-improving measures is the capillary 15 with the sintering mask 16 attached to the open end of the solid electrolyte tube.
The * Festelektrolytroar 1 consists for the measurement of oxygen partial pressures of stabilized zirconia. For measurements on solid electrolytes, which alone can not be processed into mechanically stable tubes, a porous ceramic tube is used, eg with an approach of 80 mass% Al 2 OS and 0 mass% SiO 2 or pure Al 2 O or MgO is prepared, attached to the guide tube and impregnated with one or different solid electrolyte material best in schmelsflüssigen Zustcnd. However, one can also use a gas-tight tube, for example made of sintered corundum with the necessary number of windows, in which one uses pure solid electrolyte body or porous ceramic body with Pestelektro- Iyt in the pores.
As a sealant 12, for example, between CaO-stabilized zirconia as the solid electrolyte 1 and sintered corundum as Führungsorcbr 13 a mixture of a glass which is prepared виз 8 parts by weight of BaGO ,, 8 Macsoteilen SiO and 1 masseto Al 2 O 0 proven, and 5 mass ^ finely ground stabilized zirconium dioxide. To prepare the pipe joint, the arrangement is heated in the sealant to 1375 0 C. By substituting a more or less large part of the BaCO 2 by CaGO 2, the expansion coefficient can be varied. Considerably greater thermal conductivity of sintered corundum than that of zirconium dioxide is taken into account by placing Тегорегаѣюютахіпіпгл of the furnace at the melting and descaling process in the area of the sintering turbo-tube.
From Pig. 3 it can be seen that it allows the construction in a simple manner - to attach a second outer electrode 21 and from a wire line 22 in the interior of the Piihrungsrohrs 13 with the Mehrfachkapillarrohr 23 gas-tight. Electrode 21 v / ird example, with gold, electrode 2 and the common reference electrode 10 made with platinum. On a Featelektrolytrohr of stabilized zirconia can then be determined from the voltage sswischen 2 and 10, the oxygen partial pressure and with the voltage between 2 and 21, the presence of combustible substances in addition to oxygen detection,
Pur amperometric and coulometric analysis methods are zv / eckmäßig to increase the electrodes, as it shows Pig · 4 with the measuring electrode 24 and the counter electrode 25. In order to be able to obtain a limiting current which is proportional to the gas concentration to be determined, or to be able to determine the gas concentration by repeated extensive separation of the gas from a gas sample, a volume is delimited by the hollow body 26 from the measuring gas. The guide-shaped hollow body 26 is gas-tightly connected to a collar 27 of the guide tube 13 with the aid of the sealing compound 12. About the Hingspalt 28, which may be narrowed with porous material in its transmissivity, there is a continuous gas exchange. Either one measures the limiting current flowing with applied constant voltage or determines over time and current the charge, which is necessary for the substantial separation of the gas after a period of the complete concentration equalization. Compared with potentiometric methods, there are the advantages that signals directly proportional to the gas concentration are obtained and that it is also possible to work with the counterelectrode under measuring gas without reference gas. The latter advantage is not exploited in the example shown in FIG. Instead, a stabilization of the counter electrode is achieved by continuous air purging or by standing under the separated oxygen in sealing the Festelektrolytrohrs on one or the other Ceite. The disadvantage with respect to potentiometric methods is the need to calibrate each such order of magnitude.
The number of measuring functions of a probe can be increased if, as e.g. Fig. 5 shows' to a I'estelektrolytrohr 1 a different Pestelektrolytrohr 29 rait the sealant 30 is applied gas-tight. The arrangements on the solid electrolyte tube 1 may e.g. those in Fig. 3 j correspond to the wire leads to one of the outer electrodes and the air reference electrode are in the section shown in Fig. 5, however, not visible. Solid electrolyte tube 29frS should be a porous ceramic tube with KpSO * in the pores. The reference electrode in this tube then consists of a layer 31 of KoSO..mit 1 mass% Ag ^ SO ^ and thereon a layer of pure silver, which is contacted with a silver mesh 32 on the wire feed line 33. To prevent the destruction of this reference electrode by reduction, it is important that the air flow through the reference electrode in the solid electrolyte tube 1 at the same time the Referenzelektrode'in solid electrolyte tube ständigО constantly flushed.
In Fig. 7 ist eine bifunktionelle Anordnung entsprechend Fig. 3 in einem röhrenförrai-Arrangements of attached to guide tubes solid electrolyte cells in porous ceramic tubes 34> act as FiIter- and support tubes at the same time, as shown in Figs. 6 and 7. In Fig. 6 is a simple solid electrolyte cell without heating furnace in a support tube 35 with the locking discs 36, 3? 38 and 39, 4 a jacket thermocouple 40 and the test gas line 41 shown. The support tube 35 is porous and also has cuts for the gas passage on one side. FIG. 7 shows a bifunctional arrangement according to FIG. 3 in a tube-shaped tube.
32О geh Heizofen 42 rait Einschnitten im mittleren Bereich dargestellt. Apart from the edge thermocouple 40 for the one measuring electrode 2, a second jacket thermocouple 43 is provided for the second measuring electrode 21, which lies outside the temperature maximum. The Ifenteltherrnoelemente are fastened together with the test gas line 41 and the power lines of the heating furnace in the ceramic insulating tube 44 on the guide tube 13 with a ligature 45. The demarcation of the Meßgasraucies get the locking discs 37, 38 and 39 "stored in hats of the furnace body asbestos thread 46 uad 47, the support tubes 48 and 49 and Aybeatv / olle 50, which is covered with a Versehlußsüsae 51 .
