Abstract

In the present invention there is disclosed an article carrier (11) for packaging at least one article being provided with a neck, comprising an upper wall (19') and a bottom wall (25') arranged opposite to each another and coupled with each another in a hingelike manner by a first and a second side panels (20, 26) arranged opposite to each another to form a tubular structure, wherein the upper wall (19') is adapted to receive over its top at least one article provided with a neck, while the bottom wall (25') is provided with al at least one opening for inserting said article neck therein, whereby said first and second side panels (20, 26) are adapted for arrangement along said article neck. It further comprises retaining means for retention of the necked article top, said retaining means being arranged between said upper wall (19') and said bottom wall (25') wherein said retaining means comprise a first retention panel (14) and a second retention panel (32) being hingedly coupled to the corresponding first and second side panels (20, 26) in an intermediate position between the top wall (19') and the bottom wall (25') for retention of the article top.
