Abstract
Περιγράφεται μια διάταξη για τον προσδιορισμό της πυκνότητας ενός ρευστού. Η διάταξη περιλαμβάνει έναν μηχανικό συντονιστή, μία μονάδα οδηγού/δέκτη, διατεταγμένη ώστε να παρέχει μία ενεργοποίηση εις έναν μηχανικό συντονιστή, την καταγραφή μίας απόκρισης του μηχανικού συντονιστή εις την ενεργοποίηση και να παρέχει ένα σήμα εξόδου, το οποίο εκπροσωπεί την απόκριση˙ και μία μονάδα αξιολόγησης. Η μονάδα αξιολόγησης της διάταξης είναι διατεταγμένη ώστε i. να προσδιορίζει μία κατανομή ταλάντωσης από το σήμα εξόδου, ii. να προσδιορίζει μία εκτίμηση συχνότητας συντονισμού από την κατανομή ταλάντωσης και iii. να προσδιορίζει την πυκνότητα του ρευστού με βάση την εκτίμηση συχνότητας συντονισμού. Η διάταξη σύμφωνα με την εφεύρεση καθιστά δυνατό έναν προσδιορισμό μιας πυκνότητας ενός ρευστού με μία αυξημένη ακρίβεια, ειδικότερα για ρευστά, τα οποία περιλαμβάνουν μη αναμίξιμα συστατικά (σχηματίζοντας τοιουτοτρόπως ένα ετερογενές μίγμα), όπως ένα γαλάκτωμα ύδατος-ελαίου ή ένα ρευστό με εγκεκλεισμένο αέριο.
