Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing forgings and rolled austenitic steels that they have be after the final heat treatment even in the surface layer. The essence of the solution lies in limiting the time τ between completion of heating to forming and the first deformation step with which it grows temperature gradient across the section before starting forming to possibly so much that in supercoated, supercoated, supercoated steel coats there is no recrystallization temperature during forming for recrystallization. The time τ is limited by the condition 1 s <τ <t,, bx [sJ = Τ | ’θθθΐ. Dmin0-65 [mm] where Tp is the forming temperature of the blank and Dmi "]" θ the diameter of the circle inscribed in its of the smallest cross-section. It concerns large forming cross-sections with a small degree of forming, mainly forging austenitic steels titanium and niobium.
Description
The present invention relates to a process for forming austenitic steel blanks to be ultrasonically permeable in surface layers after the final heat treatment. The invention falls within the field of thermoforming at relatively small deformations, such as free forging or rolling seamless tubes.
The ultrasonic impermeability of the surface layers of some wrought austenitic steels, such as open die forgings, is usually caused by the phenomenon of persistence of primary casting or coarse secondary grains which did not undergo static recrystallization in the final forming stages or during subsequent heat treatment. One of the technological causes of this phenomenon under the conditions of applying relatively small degrees of deformation during hot forming is the cooling of the ingot surface layers, between their removal from the heating furnace and the start of forming, below the recrystallization temperature of the formed steel.
So far, the thermal gradient over the cross-section of the ingot or semi-finished workpiece has been ignored. For example, heating to the forging is also carried out in furnaces far from the forging press, forging is also carried out in the event of a crane failure during transport of the heated piece or failure of the press or manipulator, ie with considerable time lag between heating completion and forging. The time between removal of the heated piece from the furnace and the start of the forging is not limited, since for most steels this is not necessary because of their relatively low recrystallization temperature. However, austenitic steels, especially stabilized by titanium and niobium, have a significantly higher recrystallization temperature and in many cases persistency is already possible by a drop in the surface temperature of the ingot or semi-finished product by only 100 ° C below the optimum temperature for forming.
Omezuje se tak tepelný gradient po průřezu ingotu, předkovku či předvalku na začátku tváření a zlepšují se podmínky proThe above-mentioned drawback in forming austenitic steels removes the solution according to the invention, which consists in limiting the time between removal of the heated ingot, preform or billet from the heating furnace and the start of the deformation process during forming. This reduces the thermal gradient across the cross section of the ingot, preform or billet at the beginning of the forming and improves conditions for
