Description
Vynález se týká oceli na odlitky se zvýšenou otěruvzdorností a houževnatostí, určené na výrobu strojních dílců, vystavených v provozu intenzivnímu opotřebení při vyšší úrovni dynamického zatížení funkčního povrchu.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to cast steel with increased wear resistance and toughness for the manufacture of machine parts subjected to intense wear in service at a higher level of dynamic load on a functional surface.
At present, high strength casting steels have been introduced into production, which have proven to work well on a number of machine components at a lower dynamic load level. These steels have, after treatment, a strength in the range of 1000 to 1500 MPa, a yield strength of 80 to 90% of the yield strength, and a notch toughness of 20 to 25 .mu.m. The chemical composition of these steel castings is usually within this range for the most important elements: carbon 0.28% by weight, chromium 0.8% by weight, manganese 1.3% by weight, molybdenum 0.4% by weight, nickel 0.2% by weight, vanadium 0.2% by weight, boron 0.007% by weight. Said steels have a relatively pronounced tempering brittleness region of about 300 to 400 ° C, which considerably complicates their heat treatment, making it impossible in particular to achieve higher notch toughness values for more demanding applications.
Z toho důvodu se u těchto ocelí nevyužívá obsah uhlíku nad 0,3 % hmotnosti, což nepříznivě ovlivňuje otěruvzdornost a tedy i životnost vyrobených strojních součástí.Therefore, these steels do not utilize a carbon content above 0.3% by weight, which adversely affects the abrasion resistance and hence the service life of the machine parts produced.
These drawbacks are eliminated by cast steel with increased wear resistance, strength and toughness, which contains the basic elements, namely carbon in the range from 0.25 to 0.4% by weight, silicon from 0.2 to 0.5% by weight and chromium from 0 8 to 1.2% by weight according to the invention, characterized in that it contains, in an optimum ratio, manganese from 0.7 to 1.5% by weight, molybdenum from 0.2 to 0.8% by weight, nickel from 0, 3 to 1.0% by weight, furthermore a group of elements titanium, zirconium and cerium individually or in combination thereof with a total content not exceeding 0.2% by weight, furthermore acid-soluble aluminum in an amount of 0.02 to 0.06% by weight. The steel further preferably contains boron in the range from 0.001 to 0.006% by weight, optionally tungsten from 0.03 to 0.2% by weight and a converter from 0.05 to 0.3% by weight. The highest titanium content used individually is up to 0.1% by weight, zirconium up to 0.15% by weight and cerium up to 0.1% by weight.
The cast steel according to the invention exhibits higher toughness at a high strength of 1300 to 1800 MPa, higher wear resistance and has a considerably reduced tempering brittleness area. Steel also has higher toughness at lower temperatures. The optimum chemical composition of the alloying elements makes it possible to utilize a carbon content of up to 0.4%, with satisfactory plastic properties, and significantly increased abrasion resistance. The steel also has very good hardenability and hence strength over a wide range of casting wall thicknesses and increased abrasion resistance, which mainly affects the manganese content from 0.7 to 1.5% by weight and the chromium from 0.8 to 1.2% by weight. Furthermore, the steel has very good plastic properties, influenced by molybdenum alloy from 0.2 to 0.8% by weight, nickel from 0.3 to 1.0% by weight, and a group of other elements such as titanium, zirconium and cerium, used either individually or in combination with a maximum total content not exceeding 0,2% by weight. The properties of steel are also favorably influenced by boron in an amount of 0.001 to 0.006% by weight and, when using recycled materials, the tungsten content is from 0.03 to 0.2% by weight and the copper from 0.05 to 0.3% by weight.
