Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para tratar carbón mineral al alimentar un primer lote de carbón mineral sin procesar a una primera secadora para retirar la humedad contenida en el carbón mineral sin procesar para producir un carbón mineral deshidratado; alimentar el carbón mineral deshidratado a un desgasificador para retirar el material volátil del carbón mineral deshidratado para producir un carbón mineral desgasificado; alimentar una primera porción del carbón mineral desgasificado a una cámara de combustión para proporcionar calor para el proceso; alimentar una segunda porción del carbón mineral desgasificado a un revestidor; alimentar un segundo lote de carbón mineral sin procesar a una secadora esclava para producir un segundo lote de carbón mineral deshidratado; alimentar el segundo lote de carbón mineral deshidratado al revestidor donde la segunda porción del carbón mineral desgasificado y el segundo lote de carbón mineral deshidratado se revisten con el material volátil producido en el desgasificador, para generar un producto de carbón mineral estabilizado; y recolectar el producto de carbón mineral estabilizado.
