Abstract

La invención revela los derivados de 1-butilo-2-hidroxil aralquilo piperazina y sus usos Como antidepresivos. Los derivados en la presente invención tienen un efecto inhibitorio de recpatación triple de 5-HT, NA y DA, y pueden ser administrados a pacientes que los requerieran ya sea por vía oral, inyección o similares. En comparación con los antidepresivos de doble acción actualmente utilizados (tales como la venlafaxina), dichos derivados pueden tener un mayor efecto antidepresivo, mayores indicaciones, mayor rapidez de acción, menor neurotoxicidad y efectos secundarios; y dichos derivados tienen mayor actividad antidepresiva, menor toxicidad, mayor biodisponibilidad, mayor vida media y mejor manejo farmacéutico en comparación con los derivados de arilo alkanol piperazina y los correspondiente isómeros ópticos revelados en el anterior documento. El derivado de 1-butilo-2-hidroxil aralquilo piperazina es un alkali libre o la sal de un compuesto de la siguiente formula:
