Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a moléculas polinucleotídicas que comprenden secuencias de nucleótidos que codifican un producto génico AveC, moléculas polinucleotídicas que pueden usarse para alterar la relación o cantidad de avermectinas de clases 2:1 producidas en cultivos de fermentación de S. avermitilis. La presente invención se refiere además a vectores, células huésped y cepas mutantes de S. Avermitilis en las que el gem aveC se ha inactivado o mutado para cambiar la relación o cantidad de avermectinas de clases 2:1 producidas.
