Abstract

Una herramienta orientadora para una columna de perforaciónpara insertar en un pozo incluye un alojamiento que tiene una pluralidad de cuñas que se proyectan hacia adentro. Dentro del alojamiento se encuentra dispuesto un mandril. La herramienta orientadora tiene dos posiciones, una posición de régimen y una posición de orientación. El alojamiento es movible longitudinalmente con respecto al mandril entre la posición de régimen y la posición de orientación. El mandril y el alojamiento definen una cámara anular que es venteada al exterior del alojamiento. Un tubo metálico flexible en espiral se encuentra dispuesto dentro de la cámara anular y contiene fluido hidráulico. El extremo superior del tubo en espiral está acoplado al alojamiento y está en comunicación fluida con la primera cámara de fluido. El extremo inferior del tubo en espiral se acopla al mandril.El mandril tiene cuñas que se proyectan hacia afuera, las que son engranables con un juego correspondiente de cuñas que se proyectan hacia adentro en el alojamiento, cuando la herramienta orientadora está en la posición de régimen. Un pistón se encuentra dispuesto de manera movible dentro del alojamiento. El pistón y el alojamiento definen una primera cámara de fluido y una segunda cámara de fluido. La segunda cámara de fluido es venteada al exterior del alojamiento. El movimiento hacia abajo del pistón provoca una diferencia de presión positiva entre la presión reinante dentro del tubo en espiral y la presión reinante fuera del tubo en espiral, haciendo que el tubo en espiral se desenrolle y gire el mandril con respecto al alojamiento.
