Abstract
Un método para realizar una prueba del pulso de baja energía en una red de distribución de energía que hace que los contactos se cierren y luego se abran en aproximadamente un ciclo de frecuencia fundamental de tiempo de flujo de corriente y se cierren en una forma de onda del voltaje que produce una corriente de falla simétrica. El método incluye energizar un actuador magnético para mover el actuador contra la polarización de un resorte para mover un contacto móvil hacia un contacto fijo. El método también incluye desenergizar el actuador cuando el contacto móvil hace contacto con el contacto fijo para permitir que el resorte aleje el contacto móvil del contacto fijo para que la cantidad de tiempo que la corriente conduce sea aproximadamente un ciclo de frecuencia fundamental de la corriente, donde la energización del actuador magnético ocurre cuando un voltaje aplicado en el conjunto del interruptor está en un pico de la onda del voltaje para que la corriente sea simétrica.
