El hidrocarburo resultante del proceso está constituido en su gran mayoría por crudos pesados y extrapesados, un diluyente convencional y de un DNC, donde los componentes del DNC se agrupan en tres tipos, los hidrocarburos de tres o menos carbonos (C-3), los hidrocarburos de cuatro carbonos (C4) y los hidrocarburos de cinco o más carbonos (C5+).
