Abstract

本实用新型公开一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及若干导电端子,其中绝缘本体包括相对的两侧壁、连接两侧壁的两端壁及形成于两侧壁与两端壁之间的对接腔,侧壁上设有若干与对接腔相连通的收容通道,每一导电端子包括收容于收容通道内并凸伸入对接腔内的主体部及自主体部延伸的焊接部,导电端子主体部的顶端设有卡槽,侧壁具有卡持于该卡槽内的卡块,借助卡块与卡槽的配合即可有效地防止导电端子的主体部向对接腔内倾斜,以确保电连接器与对接连接器之间的准确对接。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型是有关一种电连接器,尤指一种用于连接两个平行的电路板的板对板电连接器。
【背景技术】
板对板电连接器广泛应用于个人计算机、移动电话、掌上型电脑(PDA)等电子产品中。其通过分别安装在两个电路板上的插头与插座连接器的对接来达成两个电路板之间的电性连接。美国专利第6,379,161号揭示了一种板对板插座连接器。该插座连接器包括一纵长的绝缘本体及若干导电端子。绝缘本体的对接面向下凹陷形成有一对接腔,对接腔的两侧壁上设有若干与对接腔相连通的收容通道。收容通道沿着侧壁的内表面向下延伸贯穿对接腔的底壁并在底壁上形成有若干固持孔。每一导电端子包括有收容于收容通道内并凸伸入对接腔内的对接部、自对接部向下延伸并固持于底壁的固持孔内的固持部及自固持部底端向外延伸出侧壁外表面的焊接部。
但是,在上述插座连接器中,为了方便地将导电端子组装入收容通道内,底壁的固持孔与导电端子的固持部之间通常设有一设计余量,该设计余量的存在使导电端子的对接部极易向对接腔内倾斜,同时会使导电端子的焊接部向上翘曲,即业界所称的翘针现象。翘针现象不仅会严重影响插座连接器与插头连接器的对接,而且会对导电端子焊接部的共面度造成不良影响,进而影响导电端子与电路板之间的焊接效果。
因此,有必要对现有插座连接器的导电端子的固持方式予以改良以克服上述缺陷。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种电连接器,其导电端子稳固地固持于绝缘本体,以确保电连接器与对接连接器之间的准确对接。
为实现上述目的,本实用新型采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器包括绝缘本体及若干导电端子,其中绝缘本体包括相对的两侧壁、连接两侧壁的两端壁及形成于两侧壁与两端壁之间的对接腔,侧壁上设有若干与对接腔相连通的收容通道,每一导电端子包括收容于收容通道内并凸伸入对接腔内的主体部及自主体部延伸的焊接部,导电端子主体部的顶端设有卡槽,侧壁具有卡持于该卡槽内的卡块。
相较于现有技术,本实用新型电连接器具有如下有益效果:通过侧壁的卡块卡持于导电端子的卡槽以有效地防止导电端子的主体部向对接腔内倾斜,以确保电连接器与对接连接器之间的准确对接。

【具体实施方式】
请参照图1及图3所示,本实用新型电连接器1包括绝缘本体10及若干收容于绝缘本体10内的导电端子20。
绝缘本体10大致呈长方形体,其包括相对的两侧壁11及连接两侧壁11的相对两端壁12(图1中仅显示出其中的一个)。两侧壁11与两端壁12之间形成有对接腔13,该对接腔13内具有连接两侧壁11的隔板14。每一侧壁11具有对接面110、与对接面110相对的安装面111、内表面112及与内表面112相对的外表面113。每一侧壁11上设有若干收容通道114,每一收容通道114具有分别位于对接面110及内表面112上的开孔115及开口116。该开孔115与开口116的邻接处形成有一卡块117。开口116沿内表面112延伸穿过隔板14并贯穿于安装面111。每一侧壁11的安装面111上设有若干临近于外表面113的缺口118,每一缺口118侧向对应于一相应的收容通道114。
请参照图2及图3所示,每一导电端子20大致呈L形,其包括有一纵长的主体部21及一焊接部22。主体部21具有顶面210、与顶面210相对的底表面211、内表面212及与内表面212相对的外表面213。主体部21的顶端设有自顶面210向下凹陷形成的卡槽214,内表面212上设有若干倒刺215。焊接部22自主体部21的底端向外侧向延伸,焊接部22的上侧设有一挡块220。
组装时,导电端子20自侧壁11的安装面111组装入绝缘本体10内。导电端子20的主体部21收容于相应的收容通道114内并凸伸入对接腔13内,以与对接连接器(未图示)的导电端子对接,卡块117卡持于主体部21的卡槽214内,倒刺215与隔板14干涉配合;焊接部22侧向延伸出侧壁11的外表面113,挡块220收容于缺口118内。通过上述方式即可将导电端子20稳固地固持于收容通道114内。
在本实用新型中,借助卡块117卡持于导电端子20主体部21的卡槽214内可有效地防止主体部21的顶端向对接腔13内倾斜,以确保电连接器1与对接连接器之间的准确对接。挡块220与缺口118的配合可有效地防止主体部21的底端向对接腔13内倾斜,以确保导电端子20焊接部22的共面度,进而提高焊接部22与电路板(未图示)之间的焊接质量。此外,倒刺215与隔板14的配合也可进一步增强导电端子20的定位效果。

Claims (6)

1.一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及若干导电端子,其中绝缘本体包括相对的两侧壁、连接两侧壁的两端壁及形成于两侧壁与两端壁之间的对接腔,侧壁上设有若干与对接腔相连通的收容通道,每一导电端子包括收容于收容通道内并凸伸入对接腔内的主体部及自主体部延伸的焊接部;其特征在于:导电端子的主体部的顶端设有卡槽,侧壁具有卡持于导电端子卡槽内的卡块。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一侧壁具有对接面、与对接面相对的安装面、内表面及与内表面相对的外表面。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一收容通道具有分别位于侧壁对接面上的开孔及位于内表面上的开口,所述卡块形成于开孔与开口的邻接处。
4.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子的焊接部自主体部的底端侧向向外延伸出侧壁的外表面。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:侧壁的安装面上设有若干侧向对应于收容通道的缺口,导电端子的焊接部上设有收容于缺口内的挡块。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:对接腔内形成有连接两侧壁的隔板,导电端子的主体部上设有若干与该隔板干涉配合的倒刺。
