Abstract
一种模组连接器,包括绝缘本体、遮蔽壳体及收容于绝缘本体内的若干导电端子,所述绝缘本体于外表面设有至少一扣持凸块,所述遮蔽壳体包覆于绝缘本体外表面,设有至少一向外突伸的弹片,且遮蔽壳体于弹片处设有与绝缘本体的扣持凸块相配合的扣持孔。通过扣持凸块与扣持孔的扣合,可使遮蔽壳体可靠组装在绝缘本体上。
Description
【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种模组连接器,尤其是指一种多端口模组连接器。
【背景技术】
高频模组连接器通常利用一金属壳体防止电磁干扰,1995年1月3日公告的美国专利第5,378,172号揭示一种模组连接器,该模组连接器包括金属遮蔽壳体和收容于该遮蔽壳体内的绝缘本体,其中遮蔽壳体设有焊接脚,该焊接脚延伸至印刷电路板相应的沟槽内以与印刷电路板上接地路径相导接。所述绝缘本体的安装面底部及侧面底部都设有收容槽,而遮蔽壳体底部对应上述收容槽设有突出部,通过该突出部与上述的收容槽相卡持而将绝缘本体和遮蔽壳体锁固在一起。然而这种设计的缺陷在于:遮蔽壳体与绝缘本体需单独设置相配合的定位结构,因此不利于制造及降低生产成本。又如,1998年7月7日公告的美国专利第5,775,946号揭示了一种多插口电连接器。该电连接器设有若干插口以收容对接插头,并且所述电连接器包括绝缘本体和遮蔽壳体,上述绝缘本体的下侧面设有若干卡扣槽,而遮蔽壳体上设有与上述卡扣槽相对应的锁扣部,这样通过锁扣部卡持于卡扣槽内而将遮蔽壳体组设在绝缘本体上。而这种设计并未克服上述第5,378,172号专利所揭示电连接器不利于制造及降低成本的缺陷,并且所述锁扣部与卡扣槽之间的卡持力较弱,在多次插拔时,较易损坏,使得遮蔽壳体与绝缘本体固持不可靠。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种遮蔽壳体与绝缘本体固持可靠、易于制造并且具有较低成本的模组连接器。
本实用新型的目的是通过以下技术方案实现的:本实用新型模组连接器包括绝缘本体、遮蔽壳体及收容于绝缘本体的若干导电端子,其中绝缘本体在外表面设有至少一扣持凸块,所述遮蔽壳体设有至少一向外突伸的弹片,并且所述遮蔽壳体上设有经冲压弹片后形成的扣持孔,通过扣持凸块与扣持孔相卡合而将遮蔽壳体稳固组设在绝缘本体上。
与现有技术相比较,本实用新型通过在冲压弹片后形成的扣持孔与绝缘本体的扣持凸块卡合而将遮蔽壳体组设在绝缘本体上,因此遮蔽壳体不必单独设置定位构件,由此可减少制造工序而利于降低生产成本。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1、图2及图4所示,本实用新型揭示的模组连接器100,安装于印刷电路板(未图示)上,并收容于电子装置200(如服务器)相应的收容槽2001内,并且上述收容槽2001设有导电内壁202。该模组连接器100包括绝缘本体1、包覆于绝缘本体1的遮蔽壳体2及收容于绝缘本体1的若干导电端子3,其中绝缘本体1大致呈长方体,包括前表面10、后表面12、上表面11、下表面14及两侧表面13,其中前表面10上并排设有若干对接口101,用以收容相应的对接插头(未图示)。另外,该绝缘本体1下表面14向下延伸设有一对引导柱141,该引导柱141与印刷电路板相应的定位孔(未图示)卡合而将该模组连接器100定位在电路板上。再者,绝缘本体1的下表面14还突出设有若干扣持凸块142。
遮蔽壳体2由金属板材冲压而成,在与绝缘本体1组装之前大致呈平面状,包括前板20、后板25、顶板21、底板24及两侧板23,其中前板20上设有若干与绝缘本体1对接口101相对应的开口201,顶板21上设有若干向上突伸的第一弹片211。后板25相对两侧弯折设有固持板22,而每个固持板22均设有若干缺口221。侧板23向外突出设有与上述缺口221相扣合的固持部231。底板向下延伸设有若干第二弹片241。另外侧板23设有若干向外突伸的第三弹片233,而侧板23和后板25分别设有接地部232,251。在本实施方式中,遮蔽壳体2在第一、第二、第三弹片211、241、233下方均设有扣持孔242,该扣持孔242是在冲压遮蔽壳体2的对应弹片后所形成的。
请一并参阅图3所示,组装时,遮蔽壳体2通过折叠包覆于绝缘本1上,其中前板20上的开口201与相应的对接口101相对齐,而底板24相对于前板20向后弯折并覆盖在底面14上,底面14上的扣持凸块142与遮蔽壳体2上与之相应的扣持孔242相扣合。顶板21相对于前板20向上弯折并覆盖在上表面11上,而侧板23相对前板20向后弯折并覆盖在绝缘本体1的侧表面13上。后板25相对于顶板21向下弯折覆盖在后表面12上,并且固持板22与侧板23层叠设置,其中固持板22的缺口221与侧板23的固持部231相合。焊接脚232、251焊接于印刷电路板相应的焊接孔(未图示)中,并与电路板接地路径电性导接。
使用时,所述模组连接器100安装在电子装置200相应的收容槽2001内,其中遮蔽壳体2的第一、第二、第三弹片211、233、241分别与上述电子装置200的导电内壁202电性导接,从而具有较好的接地效果。
现有技术相比较,本实用新型利用遮蔽壳体2在冲设弹片时形成的扣持孔242与绝缘本体1设置的扣持凸块142卡合而实现遮蔽壳体2与绝缘本体1之间的定位,因此遮蔽壳体2不必再设置额外的定位构件,这样在制造中利于减少工序而便于降低成本。
在本实施方式中,绝缘本体1在仅底面设有扣持凸块142。诚然,绝缘本体1其他表面也可视需求设置扣持凸块142。
Claims (5)
1.一种模组连接器,用于组设在电子装置的电路板上,包括绝缘本体、遮蔽壳体及收容于绝缘本体的若干导电端子,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体于外表面设有至少一扣持凸块,所述遮蔽壳体设有至少一向外突伸的弹片,且所述遮蔽壳体上设有在冲压上述弹片后形成的扣持孔,所述扣持凸块与扣持孔相扣合。
2.如权利要求1所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:所述遮蔽壳体设有底板,所述弹片由遮蔽壳体底板向外突伸设置而成。
3.如权利要求2所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:所述遮蔽壳体还设有两侧板及后板,并且两侧板设有若干向外突伸的固持部,而所述后板设有与所述固持部相对应的若干缺口。
4.如权利要求3所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:所述侧板与后板设有与电路板接地路径电性导接的接地部。
5.如权利要求4所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:所述弹片与电子装置导电内壁电性相连。
