Description
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a vertical sunshade umbrella.
Background
Various types of vertical sunshades of the above type are known. Such a vertical sunshade comprises a canopy or the like, on which a plurality of canopy struts for covering the canopy are arranged in a hinged manner, which struts are interconnected by associated struts by means of respective hinges.
EP 1858362 B1, for example, shows a free-arm sunshade having a main rod (post) and an arm arranged thereon, at the end of which, facing away from the main rod, a sunshade with a sunshade rod (parasol pole) being arranged. The parasol comprises a slider hinged to the canopy post by means of a support post which in turn is hinged to the canopy connected to the parasol pole. In order to open and close the sunshade, the distance between the canopy and the slider is changed by means of an actuating mechanism, whereby the angle between the canopy and the associated support column is also changed.
In previously known sunshades the required pivotability between the canopy and support posts is achieved by a hinge-like structure having a pivot axis perpendicular to the plane defined by the canopy and support posts.
However, a disadvantage of the known sunshade system is the following adverse effects:
Due to the edge portion of the canopy post, fabric damage occurs on the canopy,
Due to the abrasion of the corrosive metal, dirt forms on the sunshade or on the connection part,
The risk of fabric damage due to the scissor effect,
Risk of injury due to the scissor effect.
Disclosure of utility model
It is therefore an object of the present utility model to provide an improved upright parasol which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art
The object of the utility model is achieved by a parasol according to the type of standing.
The vertical sunshade according to the utility model comprises a sunshade crown on which a plurality of canopy struts for covering the canopy are arranged in a hinged manner radiating about the sunshade crown axis and are supported and connected by the relevant support struts by means of respective hinges. Since each hinge comprises a hinge ball connected to the canopy post, which hinge ball is received in an associated hinge seat with the terminal end arranged on the support post, wherein the hinge seat comprises a seat groove allowing the support post to pivot in an associated pivot plane within a predetermined pivot angle range, at least the above-mentioned drawbacks are avoided.
The term "upright parasol (standing paraso)" is to be understood in the broadest sense but includes in particular all types of boom support means, in particular means for outdoors.
Advantageous embodiments are defined in the following aspects.
Particularly in the case of larger and heavier vertical parasols, considerable forces are generated in the connection area between the canopy posts and the support posts. Accordingly, the canopy post of the advantageous embodiment includes a stiffener for attachment to the hinge ball.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the canopy column is provided with additional stiffening elements in the form of inserts or ribs.
In principle, various embodiments are possible for the hinge mount arranged at the end of the support post. However, it is particularly advantageous if the hinge mount is formed by a hollow body and a plug portion.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the hinge mount is connected to the support post by means of a cross-screw pin or an adhesive. In particular, this makes it possible to realize a component formed by the hinge base and the hinge ball mounted therein, which can be easily assembled and disassembled.
In principle, support columns having various cross-sectional profiles may be provided. However, it is advantageous if the support columns are configured as hollow profiles. Preferably, the hinge mount is dimensioned such that it can be snugly inserted into one end of the hollow profile.
In principle, the hinge ball can be connected to the associated canopy post in various ways. In particular, it may be riveted to the canopy post. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the hinge ball is provided with a threaded pin which can be screwed into an associated internal thread on the canopy post, and with an opposite engagement opening for a screwing tool, for example for a hexagonal wrench or screwdriver.
The aforementioned elements used according to the utility model as well as those claimed and described in the following exemplary embodiments are not limited in terms of their size, shape, material use and technical design by any particular conditions, as a result of which selection criteria known in the respective application fields can be used without limitation.
Drawings
Further details, advantages and features of the object of the utility model will become apparent from the following description and the corresponding figures, in which a system according to the utility model is shown by way of example. In the drawings, there is shown:
fig. 1 is a front view of a portion of a generally known upright parasol;
FIG. 2 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the connection area of the canopy post and support post designed in accordance with the present utility model;
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a hinge base with an inserted hinge ball; and
Fig. 4 is an exploded view of the hinge base of fig. 3.
Detailed Description
A part of the substantially known upright parasol shown in figure 1 comprises a parasol crown 2, a canopy post 4 hinged thereto and a canopy 6 located thereon. The latter is suitably connected to the parasol structure by means of connection means not shown herein. The canopy stay 4 is connected by a respective hinge 10 to a first end 7 of an associated support stay 8, which support stay 8 is hinged at its second end 9 to a slider 11.
As can be seen from fig. 1, the sunshade crown 2 and the slider 11 are arranged on a longitudinal member 13, which longitudinal member 13 may in particular be a sunshade boom or a sunshade stick. By varying the distance between the sunshade crown 2 and the slider 11, a change of the angle α between the canopy post 4 and the support post 8 is achieved in a known manner.
As can be seen in fig. 2 to 4, the hinge 10 comprises a hinge ball 12 connected to the canopy post 4, which hinge ball 12 is accommodated in an associated hinge seat 14, which hinge seat 14 is arranged terminally on the support post 8. The hinge base 14 is provided with a base recess 16, which base recess 16 defines an associated pivot plane in which the support post 8 can pivot at a predetermined pivot angle. In the example shown, the range of pivot angles is approximately 180 ° because the hinge ball can pivot from the downwardly directed orientation shown in fig. 3 to an upwardly directed orientation.
In the embodiment shown, the canopy post 4 is configured as a hollow profile. To avoid undesired deformations, a stiffening element 18 is inserted into the canopy post 4 in the region of the hinge 10. Furthermore, the canopy post 4 is provided with additional stiffening elements in the form of inserts 20 or ribs.
In the example shown, the hinge base 14 is formed in two parts, a hollow body 22 and a plug portion 24 insertable therein. As can be seen in particular in fig. 3 and 4, the hollow body 22 is provided with a seat 16 at a first end and is open at a second end for receiving an associated plug portion 24. As can be seen in fig. 4, the hollow body 22 is dimensioned such that the associated hinge ball 12 can be inserted until it reaches the socket groove 16 and then held in place by the insertion plug portion 24.
Furthermore, in the example shown, the support column 8 is configured as a hollow profile, in which the hinge mount 14 inserted therein, i.e. the hollow body 22 comprising the inserted plug portion 24, is connected to the support column 8 by means of a cross screw pin 26.
In the example shown, the hinge ball 12 is provided with a threaded pin 30, which threaded pin 30 can be screwed into a corresponding internal thread 28 on the canopy post 4, and the hinge ball 12 is also provided with an opposite engagement opening 32, for example for the internal hexagonal profile of a corresponding screwing tool. In the example shown, internal threads 28 are formed in the stiffener 18. Between the threaded pin 30 and the hinge ball 12, a cylindrical pin portion 34 is provided, which cylindrical pin portion 34 cooperates with the seat groove 16 and allows a laterally directed pivoting movement of the hinge ball.
