Description

Motherboard assembly
Technical Field
The present utility model relates to a motherboard assembly, and more particularly, to a motherboard assembly including a baffle.
Background
Generally, when assembling a computer, the I/O board needs to be assembled to the chassis before the motherboard is mounted to the chassis. In order to simplify the assembly process of the computer, some manufacturers will first install the I/O baffle to the heat sink fin set on the motherboard. Thus, the I/O baffle and the motherboard can be mounted in one step.
However, the heat dissipation fin sets disposed on the motherboard of different specifications may have different designs in terms of size and disposition positions. Therefore, some specifications of fin sets on a motherboard may be far from the I/O baffle or not adjacent to the I/O baffle due to undersize. In such a case, the I/O barrier is difficult to mount to the motherboard through the fin group. The hook plate 422 is located in the slot 322 and is engaged with a portion of the first mounting protrusion 320.
Referring to fig. 3, 6 and 7, fig. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing still another first limiting member of the motherboard assembly in fig. 1. Fig. 7 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the first stopper in fig. 6 taken from another perspective. The two opposite sides of the first limiting member 430 are respectively fixed to the connector 230 and the baffle 300, and the connector 230 is interposed between at least a portion of the first limiting member 430 and the circuit board 100. In detail, in the present embodiment, the first limiting member 430 includes a connecting plate portion 431 and a pushing plate portion 432. The connection plate portion 431 is located at a side of the connectors 230 away from the circuit board 100 and slidably disposed on the first mounting protrusion 320. The positioning member 500 positions the joint plate portion 431 and the first mounting boss 320. Specifically, in the present embodiment, the connecting plate portion 431 has two sliding grooves 4310, and the positioning member 500 is a screw, for example. The body 510 of the two positioning members 500 are slidably disposed in the two sliding grooves 4310, respectively, and are screwed to the first mounting protrusion 320. In addition, as shown in fig. 7, the engagement plate portion 431 is interposed between the head portions 520 of the two positioning members 500 and the first mounting protrusion 320. The pushing plate portion 432 stands on the side of the engaging plate portion 431 close to the connectors 230, and is located on the side of the connectors 230 away from the body portion 310 of the shutter 300. The spacers 550 are respectively sandwiched between the pushing plates 432 and the connectors 230. These pads 550 are made of, for example, a flexible material such as rubber. In addition, the rubber of which the pad 550 is made is, for example, self-adhesive rubber.
Referring to fig. 8, fig. 8 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the first stopper in fig. 6 along yet another view. In the present embodiment, the connectors 230 are spaced apart from the pushing plate portion 432 by different minimum distances D1 and D2, respectively. In addition, no spacer is provided between one of the connectors 230 and the push-plate portion 432.
In other embodiments, the motherboard assembly may also include only one pad 550. Alternatively, in other embodiments, the motherboard assembly may not include the spacer 550, and the push-plate portion of fig. 6 may instead be in direct contact with the connector 230.
Referring to fig. 1 and 3 again, in the present embodiment, the motherboard assembly 10 may further include a connector 240, a first limiting member 440, a spacer 560, and two screws 570. The connector 240 is disposed on the circuit board 100. And is interposed between the first mounting protrusion 320 and the circuit board 100. The first stopper 440 is fixed to the first mounting boss 320 by, for example, two screws 570, and has a plate shape. The spacer 560 is, for example, self-adhesive rubber, and is sandwiched between the first limiting member 440 and the connector 240 to prevent the first limiting member 440 from moving in a front-back direction relative to the connector 240.
It should be noted that the motherboard assembly 10 according to the present utility model is not limited to include the first stoppers 410, 420, 430, 440 in different forms. In other embodiments, the motherboard assembly may also include only at least one of the first stoppers 410, 420, 430, 440, or include other types of stoppers. In addition, in the embodiment where the motherboard assembly includes only one of the first limiting members 410, 420, 430, 440, the motherboard assembly may also include only one connector.
Referring to fig. 9, fig. 9 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the motherboard assembly of fig. 1 mounted on a chassis. The two second limiting members 600 are screws, for example, and respectively penetrate through the two second mounting protruding portions 330. In addition, two second limiting members 600 are disposed through the circuit board 100. Therefore, the two second stoppers 600 limit the second mounting protrusion 330 and the circuit board 100. The two second limiting members 600 are, for example, screwed to the housing 20.
Other examples will be listed below as illustration. It should be noted that the following embodiments use the element numbers and part of the content of the foregoing embodiments, where the same numbers are used to denote the same or similar elements, and descriptions of the same technical content are omitted. For the description of the omitted parts, reference is made to the foregoing embodiments, and the following embodiments are not repeated.
The utility model is not limited to the form of the second limiting member. Referring to fig. 10 and 11, fig. 10 is an exploded view of a motherboard assembly according to a second embodiment of the present utility model. Fig. 11 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the motherboard assembly of fig. 10 mounted to a chassis. The difference between the motherboard assembly 10a of the present embodiment and the motherboard assembly 10 of the first embodiment is that the second limiting member 600a of the present embodiment adopts a fixed column form. In detail, in the present embodiment, the second limiting member 600a is tightly inserted into the second mounting protrusion 330, the circuit board 100 and the housing 20.
According to the motherboard assembly disclosed in the above embodiment, the two opposite sides of the first limiting member are respectively fixed to the connector and the baffle. In addition, the connection ports of the connector may be exposed to the opening of the shutter such that the connector may be located near the shutter. Therefore, no matter what specification the circuit board has, the baffle can be fixed on the connector through the first limiting piece, and the baffle is not limited by the heat radiation fin group. Therefore, the baffle can be mounted on circuit boards with different specifications while simplifying the assembly process of the computer.
In addition, the connector is arranged between at least part of the first limiting piece and the circuit board. That is, the first stopper is fixed by the top side of the connector. Therefore, the baffle can be fixed to the connector by the first limiting member regardless of the number or size of the connectors on the circuit board. Particularly, for the low-level computer, even if the connector is low relative to the circuit board and is difficult to fix through the side edge of the connector, the first limiting piece fixed through the top side of the connector can still firmly fix the baffle to the connector.
Although the present utility model has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that the utility model is not limited thereto, but rather may be modified or altered somewhat by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the utility model.
