Background
In the network edge application scenario, edge servers/compute nodes, etc. need to be combined with routers, switches, etc. Because there is no suitable means to accommodate these edge devices with proper placement, adequate heat dissipation, and orderly routing, these edge devices are often in a state of placement disorder, inadequate heat dissipation, and messy routing.
Thus, there is a need for an edge end cabinet for housing edge end equipment at the edge end.
Disclosure of Invention
The present application proposes an edge-side cabinet according to the present application, which can overcome at least one of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.
According to the present application, there is provided an edge end cabinet, characterized in that the edge end cabinet comprises:
a case defined by a front side plate, a rear side plate, a left side plate, a right side plate, a top side plate, and a bottom side plate, wherein the front side plate constituting a door of the marginal end cabinet is rotatably mounted to one of the left side plate and the right side plate;
a support plate supported by the left side plate and the right side plate; and
an interface module disposed on an inner side of the rear side plate, the interface module having an input port for receiving an external power source and an output port for powering an edge device.
Preferably, a plurality of ventilation holes are formed on the front side plate, an exhaust fan is arranged on the rear side plate, and the interface module is further provided with an output port for supplying power to the exhaust fan.
Preferably, a data transmission connector is further provided on the inside of the rear side plate.
Preferably, a wiring device is provided on the inside of the rear side plate.
Preferably, the wiring device includes a low voltage wiring device for arranging low voltage cables provided at one side of the exhaust fan and a high voltage wiring device for arranging high voltage cables provided at the other side opposite to the exhaust fan.
Preferably, a stopper is provided on the outside of the rear side plate.
Preferably, the stop is telescopic.

Detailed Description
Preferred embodiments of the present application are described in detail below with reference to examples. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that these embodiments are exemplary and are not meant to be limiting in any way.
Fig. 1 schematically shows an edge end cabinet according to the present application in a perspective view. As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the edge end cabinet 1 according to the present application includes a substantially hexahedral cabinet 3, the cabinet 3 being defined by a front side plate 3a, a rear side plate 3b, a left side plate 3c, a right side plate 3d, a top side plate 3e, and a bottom side plate 3f, wherein the other side plates except the front side plate 3a are fixedly assembled together to define an interior installation space, and the front side plate 3a is rotatably mounted to the left side plate 3c at one edge by a hinge to function as a door so as to open or close the interior installation space as desired. Although in the preferred embodiment shown the front side plate 3a is rotatably mounted to the left side plate 3c by means of a hinge, it will be appreciated that it is also possible that the front side plate 3a is rotatably mounted to the right side plate 3d by means of a hinge.
Fig. 2 is a front view of the left side panel of the edge end cabinet shown in fig. 1, as viewed from the inside of the edge end cabinet. As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the left side plate 3c is formed with a plurality of holes 5, and the holes 5 are arranged in a row at intervals in a substantially horizontal direction, and are also arranged in a column at intervals in a vertical direction. Although in the preferred embodiment there are 2 holes per row and 8 holes per column, it should be understood that there may be more than 2 holes per row and less than or more than 8 holes per column, as desired. On the left side plate 3c, a guide rail 7 is provided, and the guide rail 7 is fixed to the left side plate 3c by a fastener (not shown) such as a screw passing through the row of holes 5 on the left side plate 3 c. In the preferred embodiment shown, three horizontally disposed guide rails 7 are fixed to the left side plate 3c, and fewer or more horizontally disposed guide rails 7 may be fixed to the left side plate 3c as desired. The left side plate 3c and the right side plate 3d have exactly the same mechanism, and thus the display and detailed description of the right side plate 3d are omitted. The guide rail 7 is provided with a guide groove, and as shown in fig. 3, the support plate 9 can be inserted into the guide groove on the guide rail 7 so as to be moved back and forth with respect to the guide rail 7 in the direction indicated by the arrow R, thereby pushing the support plate 9 into the case 3 or pulling it out from the case 3. Of course, the support plate 9 can also be supported directly on the corresponding guide rail 7.
Fig. 3 schematically illustrates the insertion of the support plate of the edge end cabinet of fig. 1 into the guide rail. The individual side panels of the box 3 are omitted from fig. 3 for clarity. Since the left side plate 3c and the right side plate 3d are formed with the holes 5 arranged in a row in the horizontal direction and in a column in the vertical direction at intervals, the height of the support plate 9 can be easily adjusted as needed, and thus the size of the subspace of the inner installation space, which is partitioned by the support plate 9 and is used for placing the edge-end equipment, can be easily adjusted. Of course, it should be understood that the support plate 9 may be directly fixed to the left and right side plates without providing a guide rail.
Fig. 4 schematically illustrates a positioning mechanism on a support plate of the edge end cabinet of fig. 1. As shown in fig. 4, the positioning mechanism includes a positioning groove 11 provided on the support plate 9 and a positioning piece 13 such as a positioning wedge that can be inserted into the positioning groove 11. After the edge end device is placed on the support plate 9, positioning members 13 such as positioning wedges may be inserted into the positioning grooves 11 on both sides of the edge end device, thereby restricting the movement of the edge end device relative to the support plate 9.
Fig. 5 is a front view of a front side panel of the marginal end cabinet of fig. 1. As shown in fig. 5, the front side plate 3a is formed with a plurality of ventilation holes 15, and the ventilation holes 15 are used to allow cool air to enter the interior space of the case from the outside of the case 3. Although in the preferred embodiment the vent 15 is elongate, it will be appreciated that the vent 15 may be circular, oval or any other suitable shape. The number of the ventilation holes 15 may be arbitrary.
Fig. 6 is a front view of the rear side panel of the edge end cabinet shown in fig. 1, as seen from the inside of the edge end cabinet. As shown in fig. 1 and 6, an exhaust fan 17 is installed at the side of the rear side plate 3b of the edge side cabinet facing the inner installation space, and the exhaust port of the exhaust fan 17 is opened to the outside of the cabinet. An interface module 19 is also provided on the side of the rear side panel 3b of the edge end cabinet facing the interior space. The interface module has an input port for receiving an external power source and an output port for powering the edge device and the exhaust fan. The operation voltage of the edge device is usually 220V ac and the operation voltage of the exhaust fan is usually 12V dc, and thus the interface module 19 also functions to convert the externally input 220V ac into 12V dc to be supplied to the exhaust fan from the output port for supplying power to the exhaust fan. Of course, in theory, it is also possible to have no exhaust fan 17. The interface module also monitors the power consumption of the entire cabinet. The interface module will alert or shut down all edge devices, for example, in the event of a failure or overheating, etc., resulting in power consumption exceeding the maximum limit. A data transmission connector 21 such as RJ45 type may also be provided on the side of the rear side plate 3b of the edge side cabinet facing the interior space, for example, for connecting an external image pickup apparatus with an edge side apparatus such as a switch. A wiring device such as a cable clamp or a wiring card slot may also be provided on the side of the rear side plate 3b of the edge end cabinet facing the interior installation space for enabling the cables within the cabinet to be neatly arranged. In a preferred embodiment, the wiring means comprises a low voltage wiring means 21a for arranging low voltage cables provided on one side of the exhaust fan 17 and a high voltage wiring means 21b for arranging high voltage cables provided on the opposite side of the exhaust fan 17. By arranging the low voltage cable separately from the high voltage cable, interference can be minimized. A stop 23 may be provided on the side of the rear side panel 3b of the marginal end cabinet facing outwardly, the stop 23 being for spacing from the wall when the marginal end cabinet is placed against the wall to ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation. Preferably, the stop 23 is retractable to adjust the spacing distance between the edge end cabinet and the wall as required for heat dissipation. Furthermore, in the preferred embodiment, the stops are provided at the four corners of the rear side panel, respectively, it being understood that the stops may be provided at any other suitable location as desired.
According to the edge end cabinet of the present application, edge end devices can be placed in subspaces of an inner installation space of the edge end cabinet, which are spaced apart by the support plates, so that the edge end devices can be placed in order. By arranging the exhaust fan, the edge equipment can be fully cooled and quickly cooled. By providing the wiring device, the cables can be orderly arranged in the edge end cabinet, which also contributes to further improving the heat dissipation effect.

1. An edge end cabinet, characterized in that the edge end cabinet (1) comprises:
a case (3) defined by a front side plate (3 a), a rear side plate (3 b), a left side plate (3 c), a right side plate (3 d), a top side plate (3 e), and a bottom side plate (3 f), wherein the front side plate (3 a) constituting a door of the marginal end cabinet (1) is rotatably mounted to one of the left side plate (3 c) and the right side plate (3 d);
a support plate (9) supported by the left side plate (3 c) and the right side plate (3 d); and
an interface module (19) provided on the inside of the rear side plate (3 b), the interface module having an input port for receiving an external power source and an output port for supplying power to the edge device.
2. The edge side cabinet according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of ventilation holes (15) are formed in the front side plate (3 a), an exhaust fan (17) is provided in the rear side plate (3 b), and the interface module further has an output port for supplying power to the exhaust fan.
3. Edge end cabinet according to claim 1, characterized in that a data transmission connector (21) is also provided on the inside of the rear side plate (3 b).
4. Edge end cabinet according to claim 2, characterized in that wiring means are provided on the inside of the rear side plate (3 b).
