Rear assembly of baby carriage device
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a rear portion subassembly of bassinet device.
Background
A stroller device is known from french patent application FR1553228 (publication No. FR 3035065) in the name of the applicant, comprising a child seat, a frame with a front wheel and a rear wheel, a seat support assembly and a device rear lever for the use of the parent.
It will be understood that the terms "front" and "rear" as used above and throughout this specification should be considered relative to the direction in which the device is advanced during use.
The device according to this previous patent application, whose principle of being able to be controlled by the parents through said lever is satisfactory, has the drawback of being difficult for the parents to control.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The utility model aims at providing a remedy this main defect's device.
The apparatus concerned is of the type described below.
According to the present invention, the device comprises a detachable rear assembly, consisting of an elongated body and a pivoting small wheel mounted on the elongated body; the elongated body may be mounted at the rear of a frame of the device and have a length such that, when mounted on the frame, it forms side portions extending from both sides of the frame; one pivoting small wheel is mounted on one of the side portions, and the other pivoting small wheel is mounted on the other of the side portions; the overall height of the elongated body and the small wheels is such that, when the elongated body is mounted on the frame and the apparatus rests on the ground, the contact point of the small wheels with the ground is lower than the contact point that the rear wheels of the frame would otherwise have with the ground.
Thus, using the rear assembly according to the invention makes it possible to keep one or more rear wheels at a distance from the ground and makes it significantly easier for the parents to control the device. The inventor has in fact conceived that with devices according to the prior art, when the household wants to turn the device, it is necessary to make one or more rear wheels slip on the ground and thus lift them up by means of a control lever, which is difficult and tiring in view of the weight of the device and of the child riding on the device. In contrast, for the rear assembly comprised by the device according to the invention, the rear wheel or wheels rest at a distance from the ground and it is no longer necessary to lift the device in order to slide the rear wheel or wheels in order to turn the device. The small wheel can easily control the device through rotation. The removability of the posterior component may allow a child to use the device in the same manner as existing devices when the parent is not controlling the device.
The small wheel can only pivot in a limited area; preferably, they can be pivoted through 360 ° so that the device can be controlled without restriction.
According to one of the possibilities, the device is,
the saddle and the saddle support assembly are such that the saddle can be accommodated onto the saddle support assembly in two positions inverted with respect to each other, namely a first position in front of the saddle steering device and a second position in rear of the saddle steering device; and is
The sides of the elongated body are dimensioned to form footrests to enable a child to sit on the vehicle seat.
Thus, when the vehicle seat is turned to the rear of the device, the child can rest his feet on these footrests.
Preferably, the elongated body has a herringbone shape, so that the sides it forms extend in all directions with respect to the central portion of the elongated body, said directions forming an angle of less than 180 °, in particular between 120 ° and 140 °, between them.
The shape is such that, when the rear assembly is in the mounted position on the frame, the small wheels are set back relative to the central portion of the elongated body, thereby bringing these small wheels closer to the axis of the rear wheel or wheels. The rear overhang can be reduced like this, is favorable to restricting the risk of rear wheel and ground contact to increase the wheel base of steamboat for the front wheel, be favorable to the stability of device.
Preferably, the elongate body forms a recess in a central portion thereof which is dimensioned to closely receive a corresponding portion of the platform formed by the pulley frame of the device.
The recess facilitates mounting of the elongate body on the platform and enables a rigid connection between the platform and the elongate body.
Preferably, the device comprises a single tool for mounting and locking the elongated body on the frame of the device, so that the mounting can be carried out simply and quickly. The single tool may in particular comprise a screw which may extend through a central portion of the elongated body and may be received in a threaded socket integral with the frame, in particular at a longitudinal central axis of the frame.

Detailed Description
The figures show a buggy apparatus 1 that can be constructed from a set of modular components according to a variety of configurations. This group of components comprises a child vehicle seat 2, a pulley frame 3, a support assembly 4, a control lever 5, a front assembly 6 constituting a front footrest and a rear assembly 7 constituting a rear footrest.
In the configuration shown, controlled by the parent, the device 1 comprises a saddle 2, a frame 3, a support assembly 4 mounted on the frame 3 and housing the saddle 2, a control rod 5 mounted at the rear of the frame 3, and assemblies 6 and 7. In addition to these configurations, the device may be constructed according to a "scooter" configuration, using only the frame 3 and the control rod 5 mounted at the front of the frame, or according to a "motorcycle" configuration, using only the frame 3, the support assembly 4 and the saddle 2.
The seat 2 is made of a single piece, in particular of moulded plastic material, forming a seat 10 for accommodating a child and an extension 11 forming a handlebar. As shown in fig. 4, the seat 10 is in the form of a hollow shell having a central wall 10a and two side walls 10 b; the central wall 10a is curved in a transverse plane, so as to form a comfortable saddle for children; the central wall 10base:Sub>A is also arcuate inbase:Sub>A longitudinal plane, as shown in fig. 3, havingbase:Sub>A shape that is generally symmetrical with respect tobase:Sub>A median transverse plane of the seat 10, which is the plane through which the axisbase:Sub>A-base:Sub>A passes. The side walls 10b are thick and have flat free edges which are curved in a longitudinal plane along a curve which substantially conforms to the central wall 10 a. These free edges can be accommodated on the curved wall formed by the central part 12 of the support assembly 4, which constitutes the accommodation surface of the cradle-shaped saddle 2, the shape of which substantially corresponds to the shape of the free edge of the seat 10.
The respective arc shapes of seat 10 and wall 12 allow seat 2 to be housed on support assembly 4 in one or the other of the longitudinally inverted positions shown in figures 1 and 7, respectively, with seat 2 stably and rigidly mounted on support assembly 4.
The saddle 2 also has a pair of lugs 15 integral therewith to enable it to be mounted on the part 12. To this end, the lugs 15 have holes at their free ends and, correspondingly, the part 12 has a housing 16 which delimits a housing cavity for the free ends of the lugs 15. The housing 16 is laterally bounded by two side walls which are intersected by an aperture. In the mounted position shown in fig. 5, the holes of the lugs 15 coincide with the holes of the side walls of the casing 16 and these holes receive screws 17 which are tightened by nuts 18. The screw 17 and the nut 18 advantageously have radial ribs that allow easy gripping by both hands.
The extension 11 itself is sized to form a handle bar that can be grasped by a child seated in the seat 10.
The frame 3 comprises a platform 20 on which a child can climb and, in the example shown, two front wheels 21 and a single rear wheel 22. In the front part of the platform 20, the frame 3 forms a boss in which a recess 23 is provided, which recess forms a front mounting tool. The recess 23 may accommodate an elbow 24 at the lower end of the control lever 5 in a "scooter" configuration, or a sleeve 25 integral with a head tube 26 included with the support assembly 4 in a "motorcycle" or "parental control" configuration.
As shown in particular in fig. 2, the sleeve 25 has a tooth 30 projecting longitudinally from its lower part, which can be received in a corresponding cavity provided at the bottom of the recess 23 to ensure a rotational fit of the support assembly 4 with respect to the frame 3.
Referring to fig. 3, it can be seen that the head tube 26 is joined by a head tubular portion formed by the central member 12 and having two pairs of transverse holes. One or the other of these pairs of holes may coincide with the corresponding pair of holes formed by the front tubular portion and house a screw-nut assembly 31 visible in fig. 2, which ensures the connection of the front tube 26 to the central part 12. The tube 26 thus connects the parts 12 in two possible mounting positions, making it possible to have the saddle 2 at two possible heights with respect to the frame 3 when the assembly 4 is mounted on the frame 3. The device 1 can be enlarged in this way to accommodate the growth of a child.
The central part 12 has, at its rear part, a socket 35 forming a receiving recess, which constitutes a rear mounting tool and can receive the elbow 24 at the lower end of the control rod 5. It will be appreciated that in the mounted position of the bar 5 at the rear of the support assembly 4, the bar 5 projects upwards so that the handle 36 formed at its upper end can be grasped by a parent wishing to control the device 1. In a manner known per se, the control rod 5 comprises two telescopic parts, which can be fixed to each other by a circumferential fastening assembly 37 of an outer telescopic part on an inner telescopic part, also known per se, in a desired length of the rod 5.
The front assembly 6 is formed by an elongated body, the central portion of which can be mounted on the platform 20 by means of a screw 40-threaded socket assembly integral with the platform 20. The elongated body has a length such that, when it is mounted on the platform 20, its two side portions project from the two sides of the platform 20 and constitute front footrests for the child to sit on the seat 10, with the vehicle seat 2 in a position in which the child faces forward.
The rear assembly 7 itself is constituted by an elongated body 41 and a pair of small wheels 42.
The body 41 has a central recess which adjustably receives the rear of the platform 20 so that the body 41 is mounted on the frame 3 transversely of the platform 20. The elongated body 41 has a length such that, when it is mounted on the frame 3, its sides protrude from the sides of the frame 3 and constitute footrests for the child when the seat 2 is in the child's rearward facing position. The elongated body 41 is mounted on the frame 3 as a single central screw 43 which passes through a hole provided in the elongated body 41 and is received in a threaded socket integral with the platform 20.
The small wheels 42 are pivotable 360 degrees relative to the elongated body 41, with one small wheel 42 being secured under one of the sides of the elongated body 41 and the other small wheel 42 being secured under the other side of the elongated body. As shown in fig. 5, the common height of the elongate body 41 and the small wheels 42 is such that, when the elongate body 41 is mounted on the frame 3 and the apparatus 1 is resting on the ground, the contact point of the small wheels 42 with the ground is lower than the contact point that the rear wheels 22 of the frame would otherwise have with the ground. Thus, the use of the rear assembly 7 makes it possible to keep the rear wheel 22 at a distance from the ground, in particular making it easier for the parents to control the device 1. In fact, therefore, the parent no longer needs to lift the rear part of the device 1 by means of the lever 5 to cause the rear wheel 22 to slip when he wants to rotate it, as is the case with the device 1 according to the prior art, which lifting is rather difficult and tiring for a long time, considering the weight of the device 1 and of the child riding on it.
The elongated body 41 also has a chevron shape such that sides formed thereof extend in directions relative to a central portion of the elongated body, the directions forming an angle of about 130 ° therebetween. In the mounted position of the part 41 on the platform 20, this shape causes the small wheels 42 to retreat with respect to the central portion of the elongated body 41, bringing them closer to the axis of the rear wheel or wheels 22. This reduces rear overhang, which is advantageous in limiting the risk of rear wheel 22 coming into contact with the ground, and increases the wheelbase of small wheel 42 relative to front wheel 21, which is advantageous in terms of the stability of device 1.
