Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1 to 2, the foldable electronic device 100 of the present disclosure includes a first body 110, a hinge 105, and a second body 120, wherein the second body 120 is pivotally connected to the first body 110 through the hinge 105.
In an embodiment, the foldable electronic device 100 is, for example, a notebook computer, the first body 110 is, for example, a host, and the second body 120 is, for example, a screen, but the disclosure is not limited thereto.
Referring to fig. 1 to 4, the second body 120 includes an appearance element 122, a sliding element 130 and a flexible display element 140. The sliding assembly 130 is slidably disposed on the appearance assembly 122 and has a top end 132, and the flexible display 140 is disposed on the sliding assembly 130. The appearance assembly 122 is located outside the second body 120, the flexible display 140 is located inside the second body 120, and the sliding assembly 130 is located between the appearance assembly 122 and the flexible display 140.
In one embodiment, the second body 120 further includes a pull rod 155, and the pull rod 155 is disposed between the appearance assembly 122 and the sliding assembly 130.
The top end 132 is located away from the pivot 105. As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the flexible display 140 includes a first side 142 and a second side 144 opposite to each other, the first side 142 is fixed to the top end 132, and the second side 144 is fixed to the pull rod 155.
Referring to fig. 1 and 5, in an embodiment, the second body 120 further includes a roller 150, the roller 150 is pivoted to the appearance assembly 122, and the roller 150 is adjacent to the pivot member 105. The flexible display member 140 extends between the appearance member 122 and the sliding member 130 by passing around the roller 150.
Referring to fig. 3, when the sliding assembly 130 is located at the retracted position P1, the pull rod 155 is close to the top end 132, and a portion of the flexible display 140 is located between the appearance assembly 122 and the sliding assembly 130, so that the exposed area of the flexible display 140 is smaller than or equal to the area of the appearance assembly 122.

Referring to fig. 6 and 7, in an embodiment, the second body 120 further includes an elastic member 160, and the elastic member 160 is connected between the appearance assembly 122 and the pull rod 155. When the sliding member 130 moves from the retracted position P1 to the extended position P2 to increase the exposed area of the flexible display 140 (fig. 2), the pull rod 155 moves downward. At this time, the elastic member 160 is elongated to store elastic potential energy.
When the flexible display 140 is retracted as shown in fig. 1, the elastic potential accumulated in the elastic member 160 can be released to pull the pull rod 155 upward, and the second end 144 of the flexible display 140 is upward, so as to prevent the second end 144 of the flexible display 140 from being loosened and drooping without moving upward when the sliding assembly 130 returns to the retracted position P1.
Referring to fig. 8, in an embodiment, the foldable electronic device 100 includes a driving element 170, and the sliding element 130 is linked to the driving element 170.
In one embodiment, the driving element 170 is a combination of a motor 172 and a linkage 174, and the user can press a physical switch or control the driving element 170 through an operation interface. The motor 172 is used for driving the link 174 to move up and down, and the link 174 is connected to the sliding assembly 130 to drive the sliding assembly 130 to move up and down, so as to expand or reduce the exposed area of the flexible display element 140. Of course, in other embodiments, the user may manually control the elevation of the sliding assembly 130.
Referring back to fig. 4, the appearance assembly 122 includes a decorative plate 124 and a plurality of first supporting bars 126. These first support bars 126 are provided inside the trim panel 124 and extend in the sliding direction D. The sliding assembly 130 includes a plurality of second supporting bars 134 extending along the sliding direction D, and the first supporting bars 126 are partially staggered from the second supporting bars 134 to improve the supporting property.
Referring to fig. 9, in an embodiment, each of the first supporting bars 126 includes a plurality of first surfaces 127, the first surfaces 127 face the flexible display element 140, each of the second supporting bars 134 includes a plurality of second surfaces 135, and the second surfaces 135 face the flexible display element 140. The first surfaces 127 are coplanar with the second surfaces 135. The first surfaces 127 of the first supporting bars 126 and the second surfaces 135 of the second supporting bars 134 are used for supporting the flexible display 140, so as to maintain the flexible display 140 flat without collapsing before and after being pulled apart.
In summary, when the second body is flipped open relative to the first body, the sliding element is adapted to slide between the retracted position and the extended position relative to the appearance element, so as to adjust the exposed area of the flexible display element.

Claims (8)
1. A foldable electronic device, comprising:
a first body;
a pivot member; and
the second body is pivoted to the first body through the pivot joint member, and includes:
an appearance component;
the sliding component is arranged on the appearance component in a sliding mode and is provided with a top end; and
the flexible display piece is arranged on the sliding assembly, wherein the sliding assembly is positioned between the appearance assembly and the flexible display piece;
when the second body is folded relative to the first body, the sliding assembly is adapted to slide between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the appearance assembly so as to adjust an exposed area of the flexible display.
2. The foldable electronic device of claim 1, wherein the second housing further comprises a roller pivoted to the appearance assembly and adjacent to the pivot member, and the flexible display member extends around the roller and between the appearance assembly and the sliding assembly.
3. The foldable electronic device of claim 2, wherein the second housing further comprises a pull rod disposed between the appearance component and the sliding component, the flexible display comprises a first edge and a second edge opposite to the first edge, the first edge is fixed to the top end, and the second edge is fixed to the pull rod.
4. The folding electronic device of claim 3, wherein the second body further comprises a resilient member connected between the appearance member and the pull rod.
5. The foldable electronic device according to claim 1, further comprising a driving member, wherein the sliding member is coupled to the driving member.
6. The folding electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the exterior member includes a trim panel and a plurality of first support bars provided inside the trim panel and extending in the sliding direction.
7. The foldable electronic device of claim 6, wherein the sliding assembly comprises a plurality of second support bars extending along the sliding direction, the plurality of first support bars being partially offset from the plurality of second support bars.
8. The foldable electronic device of claim 7, wherein the first support bars respectively comprise a plurality of first surfaces facing the flexible display, the second support bars respectively comprise a plurality of second surfaces facing the flexible display, and the first surfaces and the second surfaces are coplanar.
