The USB network card is a device working at a data link layer, is an interface for connecting a computer and a cable in a local area network, and not only can realize physical connection and electric signal matching with the local area network cable, but also relates to functions of frame sending and receiving, frame packaging and unpacking, medium access control, data encoding and decoding, data caching, and the like. The USB network card is not a separate autonomous unit. Because the USB network card does not have a power supply of its own but must use the power supply of the inserted computer and be controlled by the computer. The USB network card can be considered as a semi-autonomous unit. When the USB network card receives an erroneous frame, it can drop the frame without having to notify the computer into which it is inserted. When the USB network card receives a correct frame, it can use an interrupt to notify the computer and deliver to the network layer in the protocol stack. When the computer wants to send an IP data packet, it can be sent to the USB network card by the protocol stack, assembled into a frame, and then sent to the lan.
In the network device according to the embodiment of the present specification, a first component and a second component are integrated in a master device, and the first component and the second component share a first interface. Therefore, network faults caused by cables can be rapidly checked through the master device and the slave devices. And, through the master device, can also investigate the network trouble caused by hardware of the computer apparatus fast.
In some scene examples, existing line meters, line finders and network cards are often separate and distinct devices. When troubleshooting network faults, computer network engineers need to carry a large number of devices with single functions, preparation procedures are complex, and work efficiency is seriously affected. The network device in the embodiment of the present specification integrates a line measurement function, a line hunting function, and a network access function. Therefore, when the network fault is checked, a computer network engineer can quickly check the network fault caused by the cable and the network fault caused by the hardware of the computer equipment through the network equipment without carrying a large number of equipment with single functions. Greatly shorten the fault handling time and improve the defect eliminating work efficiency. And after the network fault caused by the hardware of the computer equipment is confirmed, the network access of the computer equipment can be realized through the main equipment, the normal use of the computer equipment is recovered, and the purpose of emergency office is achieved.
While the specification has been described with examples, those skilled in the art will appreciate that there are numerous variations and permutations of the specification that do not depart from the spirit of the specification, and it is intended that the appended claims include such variations and modifications that do not depart from the spirit of the specification.
