Detailed Description
It is easily understood that according to the technical solution of the present invention, a person skilled in the art can propose various alternative structural modes and implementation modes without changing the essential spirit of the present invention. Therefore, the following detailed description and the accompanying drawings are merely illustrative of the technical aspects of the present invention, and should not be construed as all of the present invention or as limitations or limitations on the technical aspects of the present invention.
The terms of orientation of up, down, left, right, front, back, top, bottom, and the like referred to or may be referred to in this specification are defined relative to the configuration shown in the drawings, and are relative terms, and thus may be changed correspondingly according to the position and the use state of the device. Therefore, these and other directional terms should not be construed as limiting terms.
Fig. 1 and 2 show a foldable scooter 100 according to the present invention in perspective view. The scooter 100 has a front wheel 110, a rear wheel 120, a handlebar 130, a handlebar stem 140, pedals 150, and a connector 160 for connecting the handlebar stem 140 and the pedals 150 together, wherein an end of the connector 160 connected with the handlebar stem 140 can be referred to as a connector head 161. The handles 130 are respectively disposed at both sides of the handle stem 140, on which a brake or an alarm bell is disposed, which will not be described in detail.
It should be noted that the scooter referred to herein can be configured as a mechanical scooter, that is, there is no dedicated power source to drive the rotation of the front and rear wheels, but to run by the driving force applied by the driver. In contrast, the scooter can also be designed as an electric scooter with a power source for powering the front and rear wheels, which power source can be arranged, for example, in a cavity of the handlebar stem and in which cavity a transmission mechanism is also arranged. The power supply can be arranged in the cavity of the handle stem in a detachable manner, which facilitates the charging of the scooter and also enables the detached power supply to be used for other devices, which to a certain extent extends the functionality of the scooter.
Both mechanical scooters and electric scooters can be equipped with lighting for illuminating the road ahead or with a dashboard or other additional equipment for displaying the necessary parameters of mileage, date and time of travel, etc.
Optionally, a display screen (not shown in the drawings for simplicity and clarity) is also provided at the handlebar stem 140 configured as a mechanical or electric scooter for displaying words and/or patterns to the passerby in addition to the dashboard, statically or dynamically, independent of driving parameters. The display screen can be powered by a dedicated power source, such as multiple batteries connected in series. In addition, in the case of a foldable electric scooter, the display screen can also be directly connected to a power source for driving. The display screen can be designed as a rigid or flexible display screen and can be arranged, for example, on a part of the outer side of the handle riser 140 or around the entire outer side thereof. In an alternative embodiment, the display screen can be associated with a transparent protective cover to prevent contamination and damage caused by dust or rain.
In addition, the scooter according to the present application should not be limited to scooters in the general sense of being without a seat, but also includes scooters equipped with a seat which can be fixed, for example, at the connecting piece or which can be folded further into a groove of the connecting piece in the unused state.
The handle stem 140 of the foldable scooter can be rotated with respect to the connector head 161 to be converted between the folded position and the unfolded position in such a manner that a rotation pivot 162, which passes through the handle stem 140 and about which the handle stem 140 can be rotated at a preset angle in the released state, is provided in the connector head 161. The scooter 100 also has a first locking device 170 and a second locking device 180 for preventing the handle stem 140 from rotating relative to the connector head 161 not only in the folded position but also in the unfolded position. Specifically, in the deployed position, the two locking devices 170, 180 collectively hold the scooter 100 in a locked state in which the handle stem 140 cannot rotate relative to the connector head 161. In the folded position, i.e. after the folding process is finished, the first locking device 170 is responsible for keeping the scooter 100 in the locked state, which eliminates the neglect of the locking requirements of the prior art for a folded scooter. Furthermore, by providing two locking means 170, 180, the failure of the locking function can be further reduced and thus the safety of the scooter during driving is ensured, mainly because the handle stem 140 can be rotated relative to the connector head 161 only when both locking means 170, 180 are released or failure occurs in a dangerous situation.
The two locking devices 170, 180 and the switching process between the folded position and the unfolded position are explained in more detail below with reference to fig. 3 to 8. The first locking means 170 can be implemented in a snap-in manner, and specifically, the first locking means 170 includes a first locking member 171 provided at the connector head 161 and a first counterpart locking member 172 provided at the handle riser 140. For example, the first locking member 171 may be fixed to the connector head 161 by welding or screwing. The first locking member 171 is provided with a first recess 173 and a second recess 174, while the first counter locking member 172 has a projection 175 and a body 176, respectively, wherein the projection 175 can be received and caught in said first recess 173 (i.e. in the folded position) or in the second recess 174 (i.e. in the unfolded position).
Alternatively, the protrusion 175 of the first counterpart lock 172 can be configured as a locking shaft for obtaining a larger contact area between the first or second recess 173, 174 and the protrusion 175. With respect to the first locking device 170, when it is desired to fold the scooter, it is first necessary to disengage the protrusion 175 from the second recess 174 by means of the body 176 of the first mating locking member, then to rotate the handle stem 140 at an angle, and finally to re-snap the protrusion 175 into the first recess 173 to complete the locking of the folded position.
Optionally, one or more intermediate grooves can also be provided in the first and second grooves 173, 174, so that the handle stem 140 of the folded scooter can have a different angle with respect to the rest (e.g. with respect to the plane of the pedals), thereby improving the adaptability of the folded scooter to the storage space.
Further, the first locking element 171 can be curved in cross section, the first recess 173, the second recess 174 and optionally the intermediate recess being arranged in the circumferential direction, in particular uniformly. The first recess 173 can be arranged at its arc-shaped upper end, i.e. it is oriented substantially vertically, in which case the handle riser 140 cannot be turned further down in the direction of the tread 150. Of course, the first recess 173 can also be oriented at an angle to the vertical, in which case the handle stem 140 cannot be rotated either further toward the step 150 (i.e., to prevent further folding in order to avoid a collision) or further away from the step 150 (i.e., to prevent re-deployment).
In addition, the first locking device 170 can also be designed to have a self-locking function, which is achieved primarily by the spring associated with the first counter lock 172. When releasing the locking of the scooter, the operator first needs to manually pull the body 176 of the first mating lock against the spring force, so that the projection 175 of the first mating lock disengages from the first or second recess 173, 174, as shown in fig. 5 and 6. In contrast, when locking the scooter, the operator places the projection 175 in the first or second recess 173, 174 by pushing the body 176 of the first counterpart latch member toward the first latch member 171, supported by the spring return force.
Alternatively, the body 176 of the first mating locking member can be configured in the form of a plate and can be accommodated in the accommodating groove 141 of the handle riser, in particular flush with the outside of the handle riser 140, wherein the size of the accommodating groove 141 should be larger than the size of the body 176 of the first mating locking member.
Alternatively, the second locking means 180 can be configured as a threaded fastener, such as a pin or a bolt with a self-locking function, which can be screwed into a threaded hole provided in the head of the connecting piece in the deployed position for providing an additional locking function and avoiding shaking of the handle riser 140 during riding, as shown in fig. 3 and 4. In particular, the second locking means 180 can comprise a threaded stud with an external thread and a screw structure for operation. The second locking means 180 can be arranged at the lower end of the handle riser 140 and screwed out of the threaded hole in the folded position, i.e. it does not provide a locking function in the folded position, mainly because the first locking means 170 is sufficient to ensure that the handle riser 140 does not rotate relative to the connector head 161 in the folded position, as shown in fig. 7 and 8.
It should be understood that all of the above embodiments are exemplary and not restrictive, and that various modifications and changes in the specific embodiments described above, which may occur to those skilled in the art upon studying the above disclosure, are intended to be within the scope of the utility model.
