Description

Fixing and supply path element for a tap and tap comprising such an element
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a fixing and access-supply element for a tap, wherein said element is of the type of fitting for mounting and fixing on the base of a furniture unit or sanitary fixture, and allows the fluid to be supplied by the tap to pass through the inside of said fitting.
Background
Fixing and assembling elements of the type of fittings for fixing faucets to furniture units or sanitary appliances are known and therefore form part of the prior art and thus provide access to pipes carrying lines, usually hot water and cold water.
The following known fixing and supply path elements for taps are provided: the fixing and feed passage element is based on a configuration similar to a cylindrical fitting, a standardized passage with a diameter of 32mm suitable for use in sanitary appliances, and has a lower fixing thread for the sanitary element and an upper fixing thread for the tap assembly, so as to use the inside of the fixing and feed passage element for the passage of the cold water pipe and the hot water pipe.
On the other hand, devices similar to faucets are known, which combine a water supply, a soap supply and an air supply for drying the hands, all joined together on the same element. This means that these fluids must be transported from the apparatus that produces the fluid to the faucet that supplies the fluid to the user.
Known configurations take advantage of the exclusivity of the product and the design advantages of the product to use a fixed diameter feed passage larger than standard sizes to avoid pinching of the tubes, deformation of the tubes, vibration between the tubes and carry the required flow. These feeds are implemented by complex elements attached to the feed line and exploit the fact that the opening or housing for the passage of the feed is specifically designed for the application and the number of pipes to be crossed, which makes the product more expensive due to the departure from solutions employing standard measuring dimensions.
This makes it impossible for these tap-type devices to be suitable for furniture units or sanitary appliances of conventional configuration having a passage with a diameter of 32 mm.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The object of the present invention is to provide a fixing and supply path element for a tap and to provide a tap comprising such a fixing and supply path element, such that the fixing and supply path element and the tap seek to solve the mentioned drawbacks, presenting other advantages that will be described hereinafter.
According to this aim and as regards the first aspect, the invention is based on a fixing and supply path element for a tap, which is one of the elements installed for fixing the tap to a furniture unit or a sanitary fixture and through which passes a duct for supplies provided by the tap.
The invention is characterized in that the fixing and supply channel element is configured such that it has a body acting as a conduit, which body has, at one end, a geometry for fixing to a furniture unit or sanitary fixture to which the tap is fixed by means of a fixing device, and, at the other end, a geometry for fixing the tap by means of a fixing device.
The invention is also characterized in that the body of the fixing and supply channel element, which is made without an internal partition wall, forms a partition separating at least two channel spaces within the channel opening on the furniture unit or sanitary fixture, which body, together with the wall of the furniture unit or sanitary fixture, forms these at least two channel spaces as described, due to the peripheral form of said body with at least a longitudinal recess, when the body is introduced into the fixing housing of the furniture unit or sanitary fixture, in addition to the internal channel space formed by said peripheral form of the body.
This configuration allows to couple and fix the tap to the furniture unit or sanitary fixture by means of an element which, in addition to such fixing, also enables the passage of the supply passage through the element. The fixing and supply channel element is advantageously constituted by a simple body without internal longitudinal partition, which is coupled at one end to the opening of the sanitary furniture unit and at the other end to the tap. Preferably, the body is formed in one single piece.
The provision of a longitudinal recess on the outer side of the body, through which the body passes and to which the fixing and supply passage elements are fixed, starts from a simple shape without internal partitions and provides different spaces for the passage of the separate and separate ducts and fluids by means of the space formed between the recess and the wall of the opening or housing of the furniture unit or sanitary fixture, through which the body passes.
Preferably, the fixing and feed passage element is configured such that it has, in addition to the internal passage space formed by said peripheral form of the body, at least three passage spaces, obtained by means of two or more longitudinal recesses in the body, which, when introduced into the fixing housing of a furniture unit or sanitary fixture, form three or more passage spaces with the wall of this furniture unit or sanitary fixture.
This configuration advantageously allows the water supply to pass through one of the recesses, while other fluids or cables may be carried through the remaining recesses, leaving the interior of the body unoccupied for air passage.
Preferably, the longitudinal recess corresponds to an external groove in the peripheral wall of the body, which extends longitudinally along the outer side of the body of the fixing and supply passage element, at least in the region of coincidence between said fixing and supply passage element and the furniture unit or sanitary fixture.
As already mentioned, this allows the following configurations to be formed: this configuration has a simple design of the single-component body without partitions and, by means of the peripheral form alone, can form different access spaces independent of one another with the wall of a housing or opening in a furniture unit or sanitary fixture to which the body is fixed.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the inner passage space created by the peripheral shape of the body is connected as an air passage for drying the hands, while the remaining recess forming an outer passage space independent of the inner passage space accommodates at least one duct for additional fluid supplied by the tap and/or the power or data supply cable.
Advantageously, this allows having an air supply for drying hands in the tap that is not bound by the passage of other ducts of the tap for other supplies (strained), since the internal passage space becomes independent of the other passage spaces and only has the peripheral form of the body creating the internal passage space, without partitions in the body that would make the fixing and supply passage elements more expensive.
It is also preferred that each of the fluid supplies is located in a separate recess, wherein only the power and/or data supply cables can be accommodated in common.
This minimizes vibration and contact between the pipes when transporting the fluid, thereby improving the quality of where the faucet is installed. The disadvantage of having two fluid pipes in the same passage space is absent, since the power and/or data cables are static.
In a possible embodiment of the invention, the body of the fixing and supply channel element is mainly cylindrical, the end of which is intended to be fixed to a standard 32 mm-sized furniture unit or sanitary fixture.
This enables having a configuration that allows adaptation to standard openings or housings of furniture units or sanitary wares, thus enabling adaptation to these existing measurements, without having to find furniture units or sanitary wares having specific measurements for the access, or having to modify these standard furniture or sanitary wares, which configuration has a lower cost than having to specifically envisage the measurements for the end application of the access of different supplies.
According to this purpose and with respect to the second aspect, the invention is based on the following tap: the tap is supplied at least with water and with air for drying the hands and is coupled to a fixing element of a furniture unit or sanitary fixture for fixing to said furniture unit or sanitary fixture. The tap is characterized by incorporating a fixing and supply passage element as described previously in this specification.
The tap is further characterized in that the air supply connection of the tap is connected to the internal passage space of the body of the fixing and supply passage element, while the water supply and the power and/or data cable supply are provided by at least one of the following recesses: the recess forms a longitudinal passage space of the body outer side together with a passage housing through the furniture unit or the sanitary fixture.
The tap is advantageously configured so as to allow at least water and air to be fed through a simple fixing and feeding passage element which prevents vibrations between the pipes and avoids the binding of the air passage for drying the hands.
Optionally but preferably, the faucet has a soap supply that is located in a separate recess and can only be attached with power and/or data cables.
As previously mentioned, this makes the pipes independent and prevents possible vibrations between the pipes inside which the fluid is conveyed, which would otherwise produce some amount of displacement in the pipes themselves.
Optionally, the tap is arranged with an inner flexible/extendable connecting tube for fixing and supplying the supply passage space of the passage element.
This internal connection of the tap to the fixing and supply passage element allows to lengthen or reduce the portion of the internal connection, so as to adapt in a versatile manner the dimensions and design of the tap to the length of the end of the body of the fixing and supply passage element connected to the tap, thus allowing and facilitating the assembly of the tap.

Detailed Description
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 1 and 2, a faucet 100 is provided with different functions, including at least the supply of water, soap and air for drying the hands and the corresponding control functions of the aforementioned functions.
The tap 100 is fixed to the furniture unit 200 by means of a fixing and supply channel element 10 and is connected to this fixing and supply channel element 10 by means of a coupling 12, the coupling 12 corresponding to a solid attachment plate of the tap on the furniture unit 200.
The fixing and supply channel element 10 is attached to the furniture unit 200 by means of a nut 13, the nut 13 serving as a pressure point against the furniture unit 200 from below.
As can be seen in fig. 3 to 5, the supplies have associated corresponding water 101, soap 102 and air 103 supplies and corresponding data and power supply cables 104. Each of these feeds 101 to 104 is directly connected to the point of the tap 100 where the dosing of the feeding duct is carried out according to the instructions of the control system. In the case of an air connection for drying the hands, a flexible duct 105 is provided, which flexible duct 105 allows itself to lengthen and to contract its length in order to be able to adapt to the dimensions of the fixing and supply channel element 10, so that with a long stem 106 of the tap 100, the flexible duct 105 can be connected to the inner channel space 14 through which the air supply 103 passes.
In order to pass from the connection at the tap 100 to the feeding area of these feeds, these feeds 101 to 104 must pass through the furniture unit 200 in the lower part of the furniture unit 200 and thus through the fixing and feeding passage element 10.
As shown in fig. 4 to 7, the fixing and supply passage element 10 has a body 11 with a cylindrical and hollow geometry, wherein two longitudinal recesses 15 are present on the outer surface of the body 11. Rather than being formed by the peripheral shape of the body, this cylindrical geometry, which is formed by a single part without additional partitions in the configuration of the body 11, forms an internal passage space 14 and, by means of the longitudinal recess 15, in the passage of the opening in the furniture unit 200 through which the longitudinal recess 15 passes, a passage space 16 for positioning the supplies 101, 102, 104 is formed by means of the wall 201 of the opening.
In the present embodiment, a furniture unit 200 is provided in which the standard size of the mounting gap has a diameter of 32mm, so that it can be adapted to a conventional tap, which is dimensioned so that the body 11 of the fixing and supply channel element 10 has the largest diameter.
In the present embodiment, the feeds 101 and 102 are arranged in the space 16 formed by the different longitudinal recesses 15, in order to avoid contact between the pipes which have a fluid flow inside and which can generate vibrations.
In alternative embodiments, a single recess 15 may be provided to form the external passage space 16 of the body 11, or three or more recesses 15 may be provided to allow other fluids or cables to pass through independently.
In alternative embodiments, two or more conduits may be provided through one of the passage spaces 16 formed by the longitudinal recess 15.
Since the power and data cable 104 does not have any fluid passing through and does not create any movement when the power and data cable 104 is in operation, the power and data cable 104 can be added with a supply conduit so that a body with more than two longitudinal recesses 15 is not required, otherwise the longitudinal recesses 15 would reduce the internal access portion 14 for air supply to dry the hands.
As an alternative, a fixing and supply channel element 10 with more than two longitudinal recesses 15 is also provided.
In spite of the fact that reference has been made to a particular embodiment of the invention, it is evident to a person skilled in the art that numerous variants and modifications can be easily made to the described fixing and supply path element 10 and to a tap comprising the same fixing and supply path element 10, without departing from the scope of protection defined by the appended claims, and that all the above details can be replaced by other technically equivalent details.
