Detailed Description
The present invention relates to a cartridge for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, and more particularly, to a cartridge for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, which can be a developing cartridge including a developing roller, a photosensitive drum cartridge including a photosensitive drum, or a process cartridge including a developing roller and a photosensitive drum, and which requires a drive assembly for receiving a rotational driving force from a drive head of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus to drive the developing roller or the photosensitive drum to rotate. Next, a developing cartridge will be described as an example.
As shown in fig. 1 to 2, the developing cartridge of the embodiment includes a frame 1, a developing roller 2, a driving assembly 3, a gear transmission mechanism 4, and a driving end cap 5. Wherein the developing roller 2 is rotatably supported on the frame 1, and the driving assembly 3, the gear transmission mechanism 4 and the driving end cap 5 are provided at the driving end of the developing cartridge. The driving assembly 3 may receive a rotational driving force from a driving head of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus and rotate the developing roller 2 through the gear transmission mechanism 4.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the drive assembly 3 includes a power receiving member 31 and a power transmitting member 32. The power receiving member 31 has a power receiving portion 311 and a connecting lever portion 312, and the power receiving portion 311 engages with a driving head of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus to receive a rotational driving force. The power transmission member 32 includes a gear portion 321, and the gear portion 321 constitutes a drive gear of the gear transmission mechanism 4.
The power transmission member 32 is rotatably connected to the connection lever portion 312. Specifically, the connection rod 312 has an annular groove 313, and the power receiving member 32 is provided with one or more (e.g., two) snap protrusions 322, and the snap protrusions 322 are inserted into the annular groove 313 and can rotate along the annular groove 413. The snap protrusion 322 is preferably elastically deformed so as to be easily inserted into the annular groove 413. The engaging protrusion 322 and the gear portion 321 may be integrally formed or may be separately assembled.
The connecting rod portion 312 is slidably fitted with a first clutch portion 35, and the first clutch portion 35 is provided to rotate in synchronization with the power receiving member 31. Specifically, one or more (e.g., two) guide grooves 351 are formed in the first clutch portion 35, one or more guide protrusions 314 are correspondingly formed on the connecting rod portion 312, and the guide protrusions 314 and the guide grooves 315 are slidably engaged in the length direction of the connecting rod portion 312. Thus, the first clutch portion 35 can move in the longitudinal direction of the connecting rod portion 312, and keeps rotating in synchronization with the power receiving member 31.
The power transmission member 32 is provided with the second clutch portion 323, and the second clutch portion 323 and the gear portion 321 may be integrally formed or may be assembled separately. The second clutch portion 323 has one or more second engaging claws 3234, and the first clutch portion 35 correspondingly has one or more first engaging claws 352, and when the first clutch portion 35 and the second clutch portion 323 are engaged, the first engaging claws 352 and the second engaging claws 3234 can be engaged with each other to transmit power. The first clutch part 35 is disposed outside the second clutch part 323 (i.e., on the side of the second clutch part 323 away from the frame 1) in the longitudinal direction of the connecting rod part 312.
The driving assembly 3 further comprises an elastic element 33 disposed between the first clutch part 35 and the second clutch part 323, and the elastic element 33 is preferably a spring sleeved on the connecting rod part 312. The elastic element 33 is used to apply an elastic force to the first clutch part 35 to separate the first clutch part 35 from the second clutch part 323, and when the first clutch part 35 is separated from the second clutch part 323, the power receiving member 31 can rotate freely.
The driving assembly 3 further includes a pressing member 34 provided at the driving end, the pressing member 34 being rotatable about the first pivot 341. Wherein the first pivot 341 may be disposed on the driving end cap 5 and disposed perpendicular to the connection rod part 312.
The pressing member 34 is used to apply a pressing force to the first clutch part 35 to engage the first clutch part 35 with the second clutch part 323 against the elastic force of the elastic element 33. Specifically, the pressing member 34 includes a pressing end 342 and an abutted end 343 respectively provided on both sides of the first pivot 341, and when the pressing end 342 is rotated in the direction of the first clutch part 35, the pressing end 342 applies a pressing force to the first clutch part 35 to engage the first clutch part 35 with the second clutch part 323.
Further, the driving assembly 3 may further include a pressure plate member 36, and the pressure plate member 36 is at least translatably sleeved on the connecting rod portion 312 and located outside the first clutch portion 35. Wherein the platen member 36 has a guide groove 361 slidably fitted with the guide projection 314 of the connection lever portion 312 so as to be able to translate along the connection lever portion 312. The pressing end 342 of the pressing member 34 abuts against the pressure plate member 36, and applies a pressing force to the first clutch part 35 via the pressure plate member 36 to engage the first clutch part 35 with the second clutch part 323. Preferably, the pressing end 342 is disposed to partially surround the connection rod portion 312, for example, in an approximately semicircular configuration.
Further, the driving end of the cartridge is also provided with a movable member 37, and the movable member 37 is arranged to rotate about a second pivot 371, the second pivot 371 being perpendicular to the first pivot 341. As described in detail later, the movable member 37 is driven by the urging portion of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus to rotate between the first position and the second position, and when the movable member 37 rotates from the first position to the second position, the movable member 37 drives the pressing member 34 to rotate about the first pivot 341, and the pressing member 341 applies a pressing force to the first clutch portion 35 to engage the first clutch portion 35 with the second clutch portion 323.
Specifically, the movable member 37 has a force-receiving end 372 and an abutment end 373 provided on both sides of the second pivot 371. The abutting end 373 has a first abutting inclined surface 3731 provided obliquely to the first pivot 341 and the second pivot 371, and the abutted end 343 of the pressing member 34 has a second abutting inclined surface 3431 provided obliquely to the first pivot 341 and the second pivot 371. When the movable member 37 rotates from the first position to the second position, the first abutment slope 3731 abuts against the second abutment slope 3431, so that the pressing member 34 rotates about the first pivot 341 and the pressing end 342 pushes the platen member 36 to move during the rotation.
As shown in fig. 5 to 8, at the time of image forming operation, the urging portion 100 of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is moved in the direction of M1, the urging portion 100 applies a pushing force to the force receiving end 372, the movable member 37 is rotated in the direction of R1 about the second pivot 371, and is rotated from the first position (see fig. 5) to the second position (see fig. 7), in which the first abutting inclined surface 3731 and the second abutting inclined surface 3431 abut against each other, the pressing member 34 is rotated in the direction of R2, the pressing end 342 of the pressing member 34 is rotated in the direction of the platen member 36 (see fig. 6), the pressing end 342 continues to push the platen member 36 to move in the L direction as it is rotated, so that the platen member 36 pushes the first clutch portion 35 to slide in the direction of the second clutch portion 323, the elastic element 33 is gradually compressed until the first clutch portion 35 slides to a position where it engages with the second clutch portion 323, at which time the driving head of the image forming apparatus can drive the power receiving member 31 and the power transmitting member 32 to rotate together, the cartridge can stably receive the rotational driving force. As shown in fig. 8, when the movable member 37 rotates to the second position about the second pivot 371, the first abutment slope 3731 and the second abutment slope 3431 are separated, but the abutment end 373 and the abutted end 343 are still in abutment, and the pressing member 34 keeps pressing the platen member 36.
It is easily understood that, when the urging portion 100 of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is moved in the direction M2 opposite to the direction M1 to rotate the movable member 37 about the second pivot 371 from the second position to the first position, the movable member 37 no longer transmits a force to the pressing member 34, the pressing member 34 no longer applies a pressing force to the first clutch portion 35, and the first clutch portion 35 and the pressure plate member 36 slide in a direction away from the second clutch portion 323 to the initial position by the elastic element 33, the first clutch portion 35 is separated from the second clutch portion 323, and the power receiving member 31 can freely rotate in the circumferential direction.
Also, in the process of mounting and removing the developing cartridge to and from the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the first clutch part 35 and the second clutch part 323 are in the disengaged state due to the elastic force exerted by the elastic member 33, and the power receiving member 31 can freely rotate in the circumferential direction without interfering with the driving head of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, so that the process of mounting and removing the developing cartridge can be smoothly performed.

1. A cartridge for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a drive assembly and a drive end cap at a drive end thereof; characterized in that the drive assembly comprises:
a power receiving member having a power receiving portion and a connecting rod portion; a first clutch part is slidably sleeved on the connecting rod part and is arranged to rotate synchronously with the power receiving component;
a power transmission member rotatably connected to the connection rod portion; the power transmission member has a second clutch portion;
an elastic element disposed between the first clutch part and the second clutch part, for applying an elastic force to the first clutch part to separate the first clutch part from the second clutch part;
and a pressing member provided at the driving end portion rotatably about a first pivot shaft, for applying a pressing force to the first clutch portion to engage the first clutch portion with the second clutch portion.
2. A cartridge for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that: in the length direction of the connecting rod part, the first clutch part is arranged on the outer side of the second clutch part.
3. A cartridge for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that: the first pivot is disposed on the drive end cap and is disposed perpendicular to the connecting rod portion.
