Description

Connector with CPA structure
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an automotive connector, and more particularly, to a connector having a CPA structure.
Background
With the continuous improvement of automobile product technology, the requirement on the electric connector is higher and higher. The automobile electric connector is a combined part of a plug terminal or a socket terminal installed in a connector main body, and is connected in an automobile through a wire to play a role in conducting electricity or transmitting signals. Generally, the mating structure of the car connector adopts a hooking fit, i.e. a protrusion on a component is pushed to pass over an obstacle on a counterpart to be combined, and the effect depends on the elasticity of the plastic. The protrusion and the obstacle have a guide surface to help the protrusion to pass the obstacle smoothly. When the device is separated, the elastic handle on the component is pressed to separate the hanging connection and the matching. The plug-in matching structure can meet the requirement of matching the connectors under the condition of good use environment (such as the condition of standing still), but in some special use environments, for example, the situation that the connectors are separated due to mutual dragging of automobiles when running on a bumpy road or assembling the wire harnesses and the like can cause the connectors to be separated due to the dragging, shaking or squeezing of other contact objects and careless manual pressing and the like of the wire harnesses, the connectors can be separated when the connectors are not required to be separated, poor or even power failure of the wires can be caused, and partial functions of the automobiles can be caused to fail, and even automobile faults can be caused.
Aiming at the problem that the common hooking and matching of the Connector cannot meet the expected function, a CPA (Connector Position authorization, Chinese means Connector Position Assurance) structure is designed, so that the hooking and matching of the Connector can achieve the expected use effect, and the plugging strength of the Connector is enhanced. Fig. 1 shows a conventional connector 100 with a CPA structure, which includes a female terminal assembly 11, a male terminal assembly 12 and a CPA boot 13, wherein after the male terminal assembly 12 is plugged into the female terminal assembly 11, the CPA boot 13 moves from a preset position to a locking position to further lock the two. The CPA sheath 13 is provided with a clamping handle 131, and a first clamping hole 132 and a second clamping hole 133 are formed in the clamping handle 131 to be in clamping fit with the projection 111 on the female terminal assembly 11 so as to realize the limiting function of the CPA sheath 13 at the preset position and the locking position. After the CPA sheath 13 is located at the preset position, the operation end 134 of the clamping handle 131 is pressed to release the engagement between the first clamping hole 132 and the protrusion 111, and further, the CPA sheath 13 is pushed forward until the second clamping hole 133 is engaged with the protrusion 111, so that the CPA sheath 13 moves from the preset position to the locking position. However, before the male terminal assembly 12 is not inserted into the female terminal assembly 11, there is no error-proof structure for moving the CPA boot 13 from the preset position to the locking position, which is likely to cause a malfunction (e.g., the CPA boot 13 is moved from the preset position to the locking position in advance due to a mis-compression), resulting in that the male terminal assembly 12 is not inserted, and the connector is difficult to assemble.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The technical problem to be solved by the present application is to provide a connector with a CPA structure, which can prevent the CPA sheath from moving from the preset position to the locking position when the male end component is not assembled, and allow the CPA sheath to smoothly move to the locking position after the male end component is plugged into the female end component, aiming at the defect that the CPA sheath in the prior art does not have a mistake-proof structure when moving from the preset position to the locking position.

In one embodiment of the connector having the CPA structure according to the present application, the first click point and the second click point are disposed side by side at a distal end of the locking click handle.
In one embodiment of the connector having the CPA structure according to the present application, the lower end of the rib forms a guide slope that mates with the first click point.
In an embodiment of the connector having the CPA structure according to the present application, the CPA sheath is provided with a limiting clamping handle, and the limiting clamping handle is provided with a first clamping hole and a second clamping hole respectively, which are in clamping fit with a corresponding limiting projection on the female terminal assembly, so that the CPA sheath has a preset position and a locking position relative to the female terminal assembly.
In an embodiment of the connector with the CPA structure according to the present application, the female end component is provided with a T-shaped card handle, a limiting groove is formed in the T-shaped card handle, and a latch that is in snap fit with the limiting groove of the T-shaped card handle is correspondingly arranged on the male end component.
In one embodiment of the connector with the CPA structure according to the present application, the CPA sheath further has a T-shaped hole corresponding to the T-shaped card handle of the female terminal assembly, and an operation hole corresponding to the operation end of the T-shaped card handle; when the CPA sheath is at a preset position, the T-shaped clamping handle and the operation end of the female end assembly respectively face the T-shaped hole and the operation hole of the CPA sheath to be exposed; when the CPA sheath is in the locking position, the T-shaped clamping handle of the female end component is staggered with the T-shaped hole of the CPA sheath to be blocked by the CPA sheath.
The connector with the CPA structure of the application has the following beneficial effects: according to the connector provided by the embodiment of the application, the CPA sheath is additionally provided with the locking clamping handle, when the CPA sheath is at the preset position and the male end component is not spliced with the female end component, the second clamping point of the locking clamping handle is clamped in the clamping groove on the female end component to generate interference, so that the CPA sheath and the female end component are locked and the CPA cannot be triggered to move to the locking position; when the male end assembly is inserted into the female end assembly, the convex ribs on the male end assembly push the first clamping point of the locking clamping handle outwards to drive the second clamping point of the locking clamping handle to be separated from the clamping groove, the locking of the CPA sheath and the female end assembly is released, and the CPA sheath can smoothly move to the locking position to lock the inserted male end assembly and the female end assembly. Therefore, the connector with the CPA structure effectively prevents the CPA sheath from abnormally moving due to misoperation and the like by additionally arranging the error-proof structure, so that the connector is assembled more smoothly.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent, the present application is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the present application and are not intended to limit the present application. Also, the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present application may be combined with each other without conflict.
Figure 2 shows an exploded view of a connector 200 having a CPA configuration according to one embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 2, the connector 200 includes a female end assembly 21, a male end assembly 22, and a CPA boot 23. The CPA boot 23 is provided with a stop structure that cooperates with the female end assembly 21 to cause the CPA boot 23 to have a preset position and a locked position relative to the female end assembly 21. During assembly, the CPA sheath 23 is clamped at a preset position on the female end component 21, then the male end component 22 and the female end component 21 are inserted in place, and then the CPA sheath 23 is moved to a locking position from the preset position to further lock the female end component 21 and the male end component 22. As shown in fig. 2, the CPA sheath 23 is provided with a limiting clamping handle 231, and the limiting clamping handle 131 is provided with a first clamping hole 232 and a second clamping hole 233, which are respectively in clamping fit with the limiting protrusion 211 on the female end assembly 21, so as to realize the limiting function of the CPA sheath 23 at the preset position and the locking position.
To prevent malfunction causing the CPA boot 23 to abnormally move from the preset position to the locked position, the connector 200 is further provided with an error-proofing structure. As shown in fig. 3 in conjunction with fig. 2, the CPA sheath 23 is further provided with a locking handle 237, and a first locking point 238 and a second locking point 239 protruding inward toward the female terminal assembly 21 are provided at the inner end of the locking handle 237, and the first locking point 238 and the second locking point 239 may be arranged side by side. A sliding groove 215 extending along the plugging direction is formed on the sidewall of the female terminal assembly 21 corresponding to the first locking point 238, and a locking groove 216 perpendicular to the sliding groove 215 is formed at a position of the sliding groove 215 corresponding to a predetermined position of the CPA sheath 23. When the CPA sheath 23 is inserted from the lower end of the female end assembly 21, the first click point 238 of the locking click handle 237 is inserted into the slide slot 215 of the female end assembly 21 in alignment, so that the first click point 238 slides along the slide slot 215 until the second click point 239 of the locking click handle 237 is clicked into the click slot 216. At this time, referring to fig. 3, the first locking hole 232 of the limiting locking handle 231 is also exactly locked with the limiting protrusion 211 on the female terminal assembly 21, so that the CPA sheath 23 is exactly locked at the predetermined position on the female terminal assembly 21. Moreover, since the second contact 239 is inwardly engaged with the engaging groove 216 to generate interference, even if there is a malfunction of the operating end 234 of the limiting handle 231, which disengages the first engaging hole 232 from the limiting protrusion 211, the CPA sheath 23 cannot be moved, and the CPA sheath 23 is effectively prevented from moving from the preset position to the locked position.
As further shown in fig. 2 and 4, the male end member 22 has a rib 222 disposed opposite the slot 215 of the female end member 21. When the male end member 22 is inserted from the upper end of the female end member 21, the rib 222 is aligned with the insertion groove 215. As the male end member 22 is inserted further, referring to fig. 5, the rib 222 abuts against the first contact point 238 of the locking handle 237 and pushes the first contact point 238 outwards, so as to disengage the second contact point 239 from the slot 216, and the interference between the CPA sheath 23 and the female end member 21 is released. To facilitate insertion of the male end member 22, the lower end of the rib 222 forms a guiding slope 223 that cooperates with the first stop 238 of the locking stop 237 to gradually push the first stop 238 outward. After the male end assembly 22 is inserted in place, the operation end 234 of the limiting clamping handle 231 is pressed to release the clamping between the first clamping hole 232 and the limiting clamping block 211, and further the CPA sheath 23 is pushed forward until the second clamping hole 233 is clamped with the projection 211, so that the CPA sheath 23 moves from the preset position to the locking position, as shown in fig. 6.
Referring to fig. 2 again, the female terminal assembly 21 further has a T-shaped clamping handle 212, and the T-shaped clamping handle 212 is provided with a limiting groove 213. The male end component 22 is correspondingly provided with a latch 221 which is matched with the limiting groove 213 of the T-shaped latch handle 212. The CPA sheath 23 has a T-shaped hole 235 corresponding to the T-shaped card handle 212 of the female terminal assembly 21 and an operation hole 236 corresponding to the operation end 214 of the T-shaped card handle 212. When the CPA boot 23 is mounted at a predetermined position on the female terminal assembly 21, referring to fig. 3, the T-shaped latch 212 and the operation end 214 of the female terminal assembly 21 are exposed to face the T-shaped hole 235 and the operation hole 236 of the CPA boot 23, respectively, and in this state, the male terminal assembly 22 is mounted, and the T-shaped latch 212 can be unlocked by pressing the operation end 214 to deform the T-shaped latch 212 outwards through the T-shaped hole 235. When the CPA sheath 23 is moved from the preset position to the locking position, as shown in fig. 6, the T-shaped hole 235 is misaligned with the T-shaped handle 212, and the T-shaped handle 212 is blocked by the CPA sheath 23, so that the operation end 214 can not be pressed to unlock the male terminal assembly 22 and the female terminal assembly 21.
The above description is only exemplary of the present application and should not be taken as limiting the present application, as any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present application should be included in the protection scope of the present application.
