Background
Vehicle motors are typically controlled by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that is electrically connected to components within the motor, such as the stator, via a motor connector assembly to facilitate control of the motor.
The current common motor connector assembly is assembled from 3 parts, namely: connector, motor installation department and set screw. The motor installation part is a cast aluminum component, the connector is fixed on the motor installation part through a fixing screw, and a connecting part is arranged on the motor installation part and used for being assembled to the motor body.
With the current three separate component construction, it is first necessary to provide or prepare the 3 components separately, then assemble them into a motor connector assembly on a production line, and finally assemble the assembled motor connector assembly onto a motor body on a motor assembly line. Therefore, the number of parts to be assembled is large, the assembly process time is long, and the number of required tools is also large.
Disclosure of Invention
The utility model aims at avoiding the above-mentioned problem that prior art motor connector subassembly exists. To this end, an improved motor connector assembly is provided. The motor connector assembly includes a connector and a motor mounting portion, wherein the motor mounting portion is overmolded onto the connector, thereby forming an integral component. In this way, the fixing screw is omitted and the motor mounting part is integrated to the connector, thereby reducing 3 independent parts into one integral part, simplifying the assembly process and saving the assembly time.
The connector includes a connector main body, an interface and lead terminals, the interface being electrically connected with the lead terminals, and the interface and the lead terminals being overmolded onto the connector main body. In this manner, the interface design can be adjusted while molding the connector body to meet different interface requirements of the customer.
According to an embodiment, the connector body comprises two projecting leg portions and the motor mounting portion comprises a first portion and a second portion, for example each in the form of a leg, respectively overmolded onto the two projecting leg portions of the connector body.
According to an embodiment, the first part and the second part are provided with bushing parts, respectively, for mounting to the motor body. The bushing portion may be molded to the motor mounting portion. Preferably, the bushing portion is interference fitted to the motor body. The arrangement position of the bushing part on the motor installation part can be adjusted according to the requirements of the motor so as to adapt to different diameters and assembly positions on the motor body.
Preferably, the first part and/or the second part has one or more hollows. With this arrangement, injection molding material is saved.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a motor connector assembly 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is an integral component, namely: including a connector 10 and a motor mount 20. The motor mounting portion 20 is a plastic component that is over-molded onto the connector 10, thereby forming an integral part.
In this example, the connector 10 includes a connector body 11 and an interface 12 molded of plastic, and lead terminals 13, the interface 12 is electrically connected to a component (e.g., a stator) in a motor via the lead terminals 13, and the interface 12 and the lead terminals 13 are over-molded to the connector body 11 when the connector body 11 is molded.
As shown in fig. 1, the connector body 11 includes two protruding leg portions 11a, and the motor mounting portion 20 includes a first portion 21 and a second portion 22, each in the form of a leg, respectively, which are respectively overmolded to the two protruding leg portions 11 a. The first portion 21 and the second portion 22 are provided at distal ends with bushing portions 23, respectively, to be interference-fitted with the motor body. The position of the bushing portion 23 on the motor mounting portion 20 can be adjusted according to the motor requirements.
In addition, the first portion 21 has a plurality of hollows 21a to save the injection molding material.

5. The motor connector assembly of claim 4, wherein the bushing portion is interference fit to the motor body.
6. A motor connector assembly according to claim 3, wherein the first part and/or the second part has one or more hollows.
7. An electric machine comprising a motor connector assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 6 fitted to a motor body by a motor mounting portion.
