Description

本实用新型属于核物理领域,具体涉及一种中子剂量当量能量调节装置。
公知的中子剂量当量能量响应调节装置一般由中子慢化体及在探测器的***嵌入慢化体内的慢中子吸收层组成,慢中子探测器置于慢化体中心位置。该装置的主要不足之处是中子灵敏度极低。
本实用新型的目的是提供一种高灵敏的中子剂量当量能量响应调节装置。
实现该发明目的的技术方案是在球壳形或圆柱形的中子慢化体中径向***多于10根慢中子吸收棒,在球壳或圆柱形中子慢化体的中心位置设置慢中子探测器。
该实用新型的优点是中子灵敏度高,能量响应易于调节。该实用新型可用于便携式中子剂量当量仪或固定式中子剂量当量仪。

实施例:
用水、石腊、石墨、聚乙烯或其他含氢物质作为中子慢化体,加工成圆球壳或圆柱形物体(1),在中子慢化体(1)中径向***多于10根慢中子吸收棒(3),慢中子吸收棒(3)可以由含硼、镉或镓元素的物质加工而成。在球壳或圆柱形的中子慢化体(1)的中心位置设置慢中子探测器(2)。慢中子探测器可以用BF3正比计数管、3He正比计数管、6LiI(Eu)闪烁探测器或锂玻璃闪烁探测器。
当热中子入射到该装置内时,部分热中子被慢化物质和吸收棒吸收,部分热中子扩散到达中心位置的探测器。当慢中子入射到该装置内时,部分慢中子被慢化物质和吸收棒吸收,部分慢中子热化后扩散到达中心探测器。当快中子入射到该装置内时,主要被慢化,快中子几乎无吸收地被慢化成慢中子并到达中心探测器。避免了公知技术中存在的慢中子吸收层将慢化了的快中子吸收掉的缺点。因而大大提高了中子灵敏度。

Claims (2)

1、一种由球壳形中子慢化体(1)和置于球壳中心位置的慢中子探测器(2)组成的中子剂量当量能量响应调节装置,其特征在于中子慢化体(1)中径向***多于10根慢中子吸收棒(3)。
2、如权利要求1所述的中子剂量当量能量响应调节装置,其特征在于所述的慢中子吸收棒(3)由含硼、镉或镓元素的物质制成。
