The use process of the longitudinal polishing machine for polishing the rod type standard sample comprises the following steps: firstly, aligning the thread at one end of a standard sample with an internal thread hole of a fixing head 66 of a feeding device 6, screwing and fixing the standard sample on the fixing head 66, then starting a starting switch 904 of a control device 9, starting a PLC (programmable logic controller) control system 903 at the moment, and simultaneously starting an electric push rod 62 of the feeding device 6, a servo motor 71 of a limiting and rotating device 7, a double-row cylinder 8111 of a pneumatic pushing device 811 and a driving device 801 of a polishing device 8 by the PLC control system 903; firstly, a double-row cylinder 8111 utilizes a cylinder push rod 8113 to push a T-shaped connecting body 8112 and a third connecting plate 804 to move towards the rear part in a displacement hole 8114, at the moment, a driving device 801, a driven device 807 and a tightening wheel 808 which are arranged on the third connecting plate 804 move towards the position of a limiting rotating device 7, and when the double-row cylinder 8111 moves to the position set by a PLC (programmable logic controller) 903, the double-row cylinder 8111 automatically stops working; when the double-row cylinder 8111 performs a return stroke action, the above opposite actions are repeated, and when the proximity switch 8117 senses the upper part of the T-shaped connecting body 8112, the proximity switch 8117 transmits the sensed signal to the PLC control system 903 of the control device 9, so as to automatically control the double-row cylinder 8111 to stop the action. When one standard sample is polished, the electric push rod 62 of the feeding device 6 is stopped by the closing switch 905 of the control device 9, another standard sample is replaced, and the polishing operation is performed by repeating the operations of the second step, the third step and the fourth step. The above process is the use of such a longitudinal polisher for polishing rod type standard specimens.
