Technical Field
The utility model belongs to the technical field of the oral cavity is doctorsed and nurses/nursing equipment, particularly, relate to a visual scaler.
Background
Dental calculus, also known as tartar, is commonly present on the surface of teeth at the mouth of salivary glands. Such as lingual surfaces of anterior mandibular teeth, buccal surfaces of posterior maxillary teeth and necks of teeth, and surfaces of teeth where the oral mucosa does not move. The dental calculus is a milky soft calculus which becomes hard by gradual calcification and consists of 75 percent of calcium phosphate, 15 to 25 percent of water, organic matters, manganese phosphate, mineral acid calcium and trace potassium, sodium and iron, and the calculus appears yellow, brown or black.
Dental calculus is an important pathogenic factor of periodontal complications, and if good oral hygiene habits are not noticed, dental calculus is easily deposited on the surface of teeth again after thorough cleaning. The rate, morphology and hardness of calculus formation varies from person to person, and in general, it takes twelve to fifteen hours for a new calculus to develop. The calculus that forms rapidly is softer and more crumbly than the calculus that forms slowly. All calculus which is just formed is soft and becomes hard slowly after calcification, so that calculus can be removed easily by oral cleaning or tooth brushing at the beginning of calculus formation, and cannot be removed easily until calcification.
Calculus is a foreign body in the oral cavity, which can continuously stimulate periodontal tissues, press gingiva, affect blood circulation, cause bacterial infection of periodontal tissues, cause inflammation and atrophy of gingiva, and form periodontal pockets. After the periodontal pocket is formed, it is more likely to accumulate food debris, plaque, calculus, etc., and this new accumulation further destroys the deeper periodontal ligament, and as a result of this constant vicious cycle, eventually the periodontal support is totally destroyed and the tooth is finally extracted. In the face of the harm, common consumers are difficult to find dental calculus on teeth inside the oral cavity and to remove the dental calculus with a conventional toothbrush after finding the dental calculus,
in view of the above, there is a need to design a dental calculus cleaning device to thoroughly remove dental calculus in the oral cavity of a user.
