Description
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a switching device, especially low-voltage switchgear's field. Particularly, the present invention relates to an IP (ingress protection) cover for an air circuit breaker.
Furthermore, the present invention relates to an air circuit breaker having such an IP cover.
Background
Such an IP enclosure is applied in air circuit breakers, in particular in Emax2 air circuit breakers.
IP enclosures are typically provided for providing ingress protection up to IP54 when the air circuit breaker is in an inserted, isolated or extracted position.
In the case where the air circuit breaker is equipped with the IP hood, it is possible for an operator to pull the circuit breaker to the isolation position or the draw-out position by opening only the IP hood door without opening the air circuit breaker door. Further, it is also possible to access the control panel of the air circuit breaker by opening only the IP enclosure door without opening the air circuit breaker door.
The IP enclosure can also be configured to provide arc protection.
When two or more, for example 400mm wide, DC2BB sections (i.e. sections directly connected to the main bus of the air circuit breaker) are arranged next to each other, each equipped with an IP enclosure, an additional, for example 200mm wide, adaption section must be inserted between each pair of 400mm wide DC2BB sections, otherwise the air circuit breaker door of one of the two adjacent DC2BB sections cannot be opened sufficiently to pull the air circuit breaker out of the respective section when the air circuit breaker has to be replaced. Generally, in order to pull out the air circuit breaker, the air circuit breaker door must be opened by approximately 90 °. The additional adapter section results in an excessively large overall switching device and additional costs.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
An object of the utility model is to provide an IP cover that can use under the condition that need not additional adaptation district section.
This object is achieved by an IP hood for an air circuit breaker with an IP hood door, wherein the air circuit breaker has an air circuit breaker door, wherein the IP hood door has a first side and an opposite second side, wherein the IP hood door is pivotable relative to the air circuit breaker door about a pivot axis on the first side, wherein the IP hood door is directly fixed to the air circuit breaker door and the IP hood door is chamfered on at least one of the first side and the second side.
The new structure and shape of the IP enclosure in the present invention makes it possible to open the IP enclosure itself over a larger angle, for example over 90 °, and also to open an air circuit breaker door equipped with an IP enclosure over a larger angle, for example over 90 °, without the need to provide an additional 200mm wide adaptation section between them, even if, for example, two 400mm wide DC2BB sections are arranged in close proximity. Due to the omission of the adaptation section, the footprint of the switching device is significantly reduced. In addition, since the sheet metal frame is omitted, the number of parts of the IP cover can be reduced, thereby reducing the cost.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the IP hood door is chamfered not only on the first side but also on the second side.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the IP hood door is connected to the air circuit breaker door on the first side by means of a hinge.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the hinge is connected to the air circuit breaker door by means of a bracket. For example, when the IP level is IP30-IP41, an IP enclosure may not need to be provided. Here, the hole provided for fixing the bracket to the air circuit breaker door may be covered with an air circuit breaker plastic flange.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the hinge is directly connected to the air circuit breaker door.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an observation window is constructed in the IP hood, in particular in the IP hood door, for observing the state and configuration of the control panel of the air circuit breaker.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the IP hood, in particular the IP hood door, is configured with a seal on the inner side facing the air circuit breaker for preventing foreign objects from entering the IP hood.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the IP cover is closed, the IP cover is locked with the air circuit breaker door by the locking mechanism.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking mechanism comprises a lock configured on the IP hood, in particular on the IP hood door, and a catch configured on the air circuit breaker door, or vice versa.
The utility model discloses in addition relate to an air circuit breaker, have the air circuit breaker door, wherein this air circuit breaker has the above IP cover.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 schematically shows a top view of an IP enclosure according to the prior art. The IP enclosure 15 includes a sheet metal frame 1 and an IP enclosure door 2, wherein the sheet metal frame 1 is fixed to the air circuit breaker door 3, and the IP enclosure door 2 may be fixed to the sheet metal frame 1 by means of hinges and locks. The air circuit breaker door 3 is configured to be swingable movable, for example, with respect to the air circuit breaker, particularly with respect to the DC2BB section frame, and the IP hood door 2 is configured to be swingable movable with respect to the air circuit breaker door 3.
Fig. 1 schematically shows two DC2BB sections, for example 400mm wide, arranged directly adjacent to each other. When the right air circuit breaker door is opened to pull out the right air circuit breaker, the right air circuit breaker door cannot be opened sufficiently, for example, to approximately 90 ° due to the interference of the two IP covers, so that the right air circuit breaker cannot be pulled out. For this purpose, an additional, for example 200mm wide, adapter section needs to be provided between two adjacent DC2BB sections, so that the left-hand IP hood does not block the right-hand air circuit breaker door from opening sufficiently when the right-hand air circuit breaker door is open.
Fig. 2 shows a top view of an IP cage according to an embodiment of the invention. An additional sheet metal frame is omitted in the IP cage according to the invention. The IP enclosure includes an IP enclosure door 2, and the IP enclosure door 2 is directly fixed to an air circuit breaker door 3. The IP enclosure door 2 includes a first side 12 (fig. 3 and 4) and an opposing second side 13 (fig. 3 and 4). The IP enclosure door can swing relative to the air circuit breaker door 3 about a swing axis on the first side 12. The IP enclosure door is chamfered on the first side 12 and the second side 13 so as to have chamfered faces 4,5, so that, for example, when the air circuit breaker door of the DC2BB section on the right side of two adjacent DC2BB sections is opened, the IP enclosure door of the DC2BB section on the left side does not interfere with the air circuit breaker door of the DC2BB section on the right side, so that the air circuit breaker door 3 equipped with such an IP enclosure door 2 can be opened at least 90 °. It is possible here that the air circuit breaker door 3 equipped with the IP hood door 2 can be opened by at least 90 ° when two DC2BB sections are arranged directly next to each other without an additional adapter section being provided between them, so that the air circuit breaker can be pulled out of the DC2BB section. Furthermore, the IP enclosure door 2 itself may also be opened at least 90 ° with respect to the air circuit breaker door 3.
Fig. 3 and 4 schematically show perspective views of an IP enclosure with the IP enclosure closed and open, respectively, according to an embodiment of the invention. The IP enclosure door 2 is connected to the air circuit breaker door 3 so as to be swingable with respect to the air circuit breaker door 3, for example, by a hinge 6. Fig. 4 shows that the hinge 6 can be fixed to the air circuit breaker door 3 via a bracket 9. Alternatively, it is possible that the hinge 6 may be directly fixed to the air circuit breaker door 3.
The IP enclosure, particularly the IP enclosure door 2, may be provided with an observation window 7 for observing the state and configuration of the control panel of the air circuit breaker through the observation window 7.
An IP enclosure, and in particular an IP enclosure door 2, may be provided with a seal 10 for preventing foreign objects from entering the IP enclosure when the IP enclosure is closed.
A lock 8, for example an MNS type lock, is provided on the IP hood, in particular the IP hood door 2, and a latch 11 is provided on the air circuit breaker door 3, so that the IP hood and the air circuit breaker door 3 are locked to each other when the IP hood is closed.
The invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed and discussed but may be varied and modified within the scope of the claims.
