During printing, the label tape on the label tape roll 31 is guided by the limiting wall 32 and the limiting pin 33 to penetrate into the first tape passing channel 44, and then guided by the first tape passing channel 44 and the tape discharging assembly 36 to be discharged from the tape outlet. The carbon tape on the carbon tape roll 34 is guided by the second tape passing path 45 to move toward the winding wheel 35 and is wound by the winding wheel 35. The thermal transfer ribbon is overlapped with the label ribbon at the slot opening 5 and is transferred by the print head.
The mechanical sensor unit 12 includes a plurality of projections 122, and the first detection port 211a communicates with the cavity in the arm portion 4, exposing a part of the label tape in the cartridge; the second detection port 221a communicates with the cavity in the arm 4, exposing another portion of the label tape in the cartridge.
When the tape cassette is loaded in the label printing apparatus, in the light sensing process, light is emitted from the emitting element 131, enters the tape cassette from the second sensing port 221a, is irradiated on the label tape, is reflected by the label tape, enters the receiving element 132 through the first sensing port 211a, and has black marks for sensing arranged at predetermined intervals, and during printing, the label tape travels through the passage between the outer wall 41 and the partition wall 42, passes through the position of the first sensing port 211a of the first sensing portion 211, and at this time, the mark portion and the non-mark portion on the label tape alternately receive light sensing, and reflect different amounts of light to the receiving element 132.
