Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of USB interface connectors, and in particular, to a USB connector, a data line, and an external device for connecting to a terminal.
Background
Currently, the USB2.0 data line mainly has three connector interfaces: Standard-A, Micro-B and Type-C, wherein the Standard-A and Type-C are mainly used on the computer host side, and the Micro-B and Type-C are mainly used on the mobile device side. When multiple interfaces of the data cable coexist, a user needs to prepare multiple data cables according to different equipment interfaces, and inconvenience is brought to the user while paying more cost.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
To overcome the problems in the related art, the present disclosure provides a USB connector, a data line, and an external device for connecting to a terminal.
According to a first aspect of the embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a USB connector including a connector body, a first type plug extending from a front side of the connector body, and a second type plug hinged at the front side of the connector body, the connector body and the second type plug causing the USB connector to have, by relative rotation:
a first state in which the first type of plug is positioned within the second type of plug for co-insertion with the second type of plug into a first interface; and
a second state in which the first type of plug is unscrewed from the second type of plug for individual insertion into a second interface.
Optionally, the connector body includes a first surface and a second surface which are oppositely arranged, the first type plug is arranged near the first surface, and the second type plug is rotatably connected to the connector body at a position near the second surface through a rotating shaft.
Optionally, the outer surface of the second type of plug is formed with a U-shaped channel that is height-matched to the first type of plug, the first type of plug being selectively received in the U-shaped channel.
Optionally, the second type of plug comprises:
the first shell is of a semi-surrounding structure, a flanging extending towards the inner side is formed at an opening of the semi-surrounding structure, and the flanging is formed as a side wall of the U-shaped groove;
the first rubber core is a U-shaped structure matched with the semi-surrounding structure, and the bottom of the U-shaped structure is formed as the bottom wall of the U-shaped groove; and
and the first terminals are arranged on the first rubber core.

The implementations described in the exemplary embodiments below are not intended to represent all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
In the present disclosure, unless otherwise stated, the terms of orientation such as "front" and "rear" are defined according to the normal use state of the USB connector, for example, when the USB connector is used normally, one side for extending into the interface is front, and the other side is rear; the terms "inner" and "outer" are generally used with respect to the inherent contours of the respective component parts. In addition, the terms "first", "second", and the like used in the embodiments of the present disclosure are for distinguishing one element from another, and have no order or importance.
Referring to fig. 1 and 2, the present disclosure provides a USB connector including a connector body 100, a first type plug 200 extending from a front side of the connector body 100, and a second type plug 300 hinged at the front side of the connector body 100. The first type plug 200 extends from the front side of the connector body 100, that is, the first type plug 200 and the connector body 100 are constructed as an integral structure or both are constructed as a fixed-fit structure, so that the first type plug 200 can rotate simultaneously with the connector body 100. Wherein the connector body 100 and the second type plug 300 make the USB connector have a first state and a second state by relative rotation, in the first state, the first type plug 200 is located in the second type plug 300 for being inserted into the first interface together with the second type plug 300; in the second state, the first type plug 200 is unscrewed from the second type plug 300 for separate insertion into the second interface. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the second type plug 300 is fixed on the front side of the connector body 100 by a hinge, that is, the second type plug 300 and the connector body 100 can be relatively rotated, and when the first state and the second state of the USB connector are adjusted, the second type plug 300 can be independently rotated, the connector body 100 can be independently rotated, or both the first type plug 300 and the second type plug can be simultaneously rotated. Like this, the USB connector has second type plug 300 that is applicable to first interface simultaneously and is applicable to first type plug 200 of second interface, and the user can adjust the relative angle of first type plug 200 and second type plug 300 according to self user demand, and then realizes pegging graft with different interfaces, convenient to use, promotion user experience. It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, in the first state, the first-type plug 200 is located in the second-type plug 300 to be inserted into the first interface as a part of the second-type plug 300, but the first-type plug 200 does not have a part capable of being connected to the first interface, and is located in the second-type plug 300, on one hand, the arrangement space can be saved, and on the other hand, the USB connector is convenient to store and carry, that is, when the USB connector is not used, the first-type plug 200 can be screwed into the second-type plug 300 to be stored and carried as a whole by the user.
Further, referring to fig. 1 and 3, the connector body 100 may include a first surface 110 and a second surface 120 oppositely disposed, the first type plug 200 may be disposed adjacent to the first surface 110, and the second type plug 300 may be rotatably coupled to the connector body 100 at a position adjacent to the second surface 120 by a rotation shaft 400. That is, when the first type plug 200 and the second type plug 300 are both located at the front side of the connector body 100, in order to enable the relative rotation thereof without interference on the arrangement space, they may be respectively disposed adjacent to the first surface 110 and the second surface 120, wherein the first type plug 200 may have a first outer surface coplanar with the first surface 110, and the second type plug 300 may have a second outer surface coplanar with the second surface 120, so that the first outer surface and the second outer surface are parallel to each other or form an angle by rotation to reach the first state and the second state of the USB connector. For example, in the embodiments provided by the present disclosure, when one of the connector body 100 and the second type plug 300 is rotated such that the first outer surface and the second outer surface are parallel to each other, the USB connector has a first state; when one of the connector body 100 and the second type plug 300 is rotated such that the first outer surface and the second outer surface form an included angle, the USB connector has a second state. The first surface 110 and the second surface 120 may be understood to be oppositely disposed in a height direction of the USB connector. In addition, the rear side of the connector body 100 may be used to connect with a circuit board to implement a corresponding storage or data transfer function of the USB connector.
According to one embodiment, as shown in fig. 1 to 3, in order to facilitate the screwing in and out of the first type plug 200 with respect to the second type plug 300, the outer surface of the second type plug 300 may be formed with a U-shaped groove that is highly matched to the first type plug 200, and the first type plug 200 may be selectively received in the U-shaped groove, i.e. one surface of the first type plug 200 may be used to close the U-shaped groove of the second type plug 300 after being turned into the second type plug 300, so as to configure the second type plug 300 into a complete closed structure when in use.
Further, referring to fig. 4 and 5, the second type plug 300 may include a first housing 310, a first plastic core 320 located in the first housing 310, and a plurality of first terminals 330 disposed on the first plastic core 320, wherein the plurality of first terminals 330 are spaced on the first plastic core 320 to be in contact with corresponding terminals in the first interface in the first state. In one embodiment, one surface of the first housing 310 may be recessed inward to form the above-mentioned U-shaped groove, and in another embodiment, the above-mentioned U-shaped groove may also be constructed by the first housing 310 and the first rubber core 320 together. For example, in the embodiment shown in fig. 4 and 5, the first housing 310 may be configured as a U-shaped semi-enclosed structure, the opening of the semi-enclosed structure is formed with two opposite flanges extending towards the inside, the flanges may be formed as the side walls of a U-shaped groove, the first rubber core 320 may be correspondingly configured as a U-shaped structure matching with the semi-enclosed structure and having the same opening direction, two branches of the U-shaped structure extend into the two branches of the semi-enclosed structure, and the bottom of the U-shaped structure is formed as the bottom wall of the U-shaped groove. This arrangement can further reduce the manufacturing cost of the USB connector, and facilitate the manufacture and assembly.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, referring to fig. 6 and 7, the connector body 100 and the first type plug 200 are integrally formed, and may also include a common second housing 210, a second core 220 located in the second housing 210, and a plurality of second terminals 230 disposed on the second core 220, where the plurality of second terminals 230 are spaced on the second core 220 to be in contact conduction with corresponding terminals in the second interface in the second state. Wherein, the first housing 310 and the second housing 210 may be hinged by a rotation shaft 400. Referring to fig. 2 and 4, the first housing 310 may have two opposite ear plates extending backward, the two ear plates being bent from an outer surface of the first housing 310 toward an inner side, respectively, the ear plates being formed with first hinge holes, a portion of the second housing 210 located at the connector body 100 being correspondingly formed with second hinge holes, the second housing 210 being located at outer sides of the two ear plates, and the rotation shaft 400 sequentially passing through the second hinge holes and the first hinge holes to rotatably connect the connector body 100 and the second type plug 300. It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, in order to ensure the aesthetic appearance and integrity of the USB connector, the structures of the first housing 310 and the second housing 210 may be adapted, for example, the structural configurations of the first housing 310 and the second housing 210 may be such that the USB connector has a uniform height in the first state (i.e., the first outer surface is coplanar with the first surface 110, and the second outer surface is coplanar with the second surface 120), and further, for example, the two ear plates are bent inward, so that the entire USB connector still has a front-back uniform outer surface in the same plane after the second housing 120 is hinged outside the ear plates.
Further, according to embodiments provided by the present disclosure, the second terminal 230 may include a first section located at the first type plug 200 and a second section located at the connector body 100. In the first state, referring to fig. 8, the first terminal 330 is in contact conduction with the second segment; in the second state, referring to fig. 9, the first terminal 330 is separated from the second segment. As described above, the connector body 100 is located behind the first type plug 200, the rear end of the connector body 100 can be used for connecting with a circuit board, and the second terminal 230 correspondingly located in the connector body 100 can also extend to the rear to be conducted with the corresponding terminal on the circuit board. Referring to fig. 4, in order to facilitate the arrangement and connection of the first type plug 200 and the second type plug 300, the first terminal 330 does not extend all the way to the circuit board at the rear, and in order to realize the normal operation of the second type plug 300 in the first state, the second terminal 230 may be configured to be bent correspondingly, so that the first terminal 330 can be in contact with and conducted with the second terminal 230 on the connector body 100, and finally, the transmission of information is completed. In other embodiments, the first terminal 330 may also extend directly to the circuit board at the rear, and the second terminal 230 may be correspondingly configured as a free-standing structure and can be conducted with the first terminal 330 in the second state, and the present disclosure does not limit the specific forms of the first terminal 330 and the second terminal 230.
In addition, as shown in fig. 8 and 9, the plurality of first terminals 330 and the plurality of second terminals 230 correspond to each other one by one, that is, the first terminals 330 and the second terminals 230 having corresponding functions correspond to each other, so as to ensure accuracy and consistency of information transmission.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the first Type plug 200 may be a Micro-B plug or a Type-C plug, and the second Type plug 300 may be a Standard-a plug, so that the USB connector of the present disclosure can simultaneously meet transmission requirements of multiple different device interfaces, and user experience is greatly improved.
According to a second aspect of the embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a data line, wherein the data line includes the USB connector described above. The data line has all the advantages of the USB connector described above, and will not be described herein.
In some embodiments, both ends of the data line may be formed with USB connectors, so that the data line can perform data transmission, for example, in any combination between Standard-A, Micro-B and Type-C, with strong practical performance. For example, in the transmission combination of Micro-B and Type-C, the mutual charging of the two types of mobile devices can be realized.
According to a third aspect of the embodiments of the present disclosure, an external device for connecting to a terminal is provided, wherein the external device includes the USB connector described above. The external device has all the advantages of the USB connector described above, and will not be described herein again.
The form of the external device is not limited in the present disclosure, for example, according to some embodiments, the external device may be a removable storage device, for example, the external device may be a usb disk or a removable hard disk, and for example, according to other embodiments, the external device may also be an input device such as a mouse or a keyboard.

Claims (12)

1. A USB connector characterized by comprising a connector body (100), a first type plug (200) extending from a front side of the connector body (100), and a second type plug (300) hinged to the front side of the connector body (100), the connector body (100) and the second type plug (300) causing the USB connector to have, by relative rotation:
-a first state, in which the first type of plug (200) is located within the second type of plug (300) for co-insertion with the second type of plug (300) into a first interface; and
-a second state, in which the first type of plug (200) is unscrewed from the second type of plug (300) for separate insertion into a second interface.
2. The USB connector according to claim 1, wherein the connector body (100) comprises a first surface (110) and a second surface (120) which are oppositely arranged, the first type plug (200) is arranged near the first surface (110), and the second type plug (300) is rotatably connected to the connector body (100) near the second surface (120) through a rotating shaft (400).
3. The USB connector according to claim 2, characterized in that the outer surface of the second type plug (300) is formed with a U-shaped groove that is height-matched to the first type plug (200), the first type plug (200) being selectively received in the U-shaped groove.
4. The USB connector according to claim 3, characterized in that the second type of plug (300) comprises:
a first housing (310), wherein the first housing (310) is configured to be a semi-enclosed structure, a flange extending towards the inner side is formed at the opening of the semi-enclosed structure, and the flange is formed as the side wall of the U-shaped groove;
a first glue core (320), the first glue core (320) being configured as a U-shaped structure cooperating with the semi-enclosed structure, the bottom of the U-shaped structure being formed as the bottom wall of the U-shaped groove; and
a plurality of first terminals (330) disposed on the first glue core (320).

The USB connector according to claim 4, wherein the connector body (100) and the first type plug (200) are integrally formed, and comprise a second housing (210), a second rubber core (220) located in the second housing (210), and a plurality of second terminals (230) arranged on the second rubber core (220), wherein the first housing (310) and the second housing (210) are hinged by the rotating shaft (400).

The USB connector according to claim 5, wherein the second terminal (230) comprises a first section located at the first type plug (200) and a second section located at the connector body (100), the first terminal (330) being in contact conduction with the second section in the first state, and the first terminal (330) being separated from the second section in the second state.
7. The USB connector according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of the first terminals (330) and a plurality of the second terminals (230) correspond one to one.
8. The USB connector according to any of claims 1-7, wherein the first Type plug (200) is a Micro-B plug or a Type-C plug and the second Type plug (300) is a Standard-A plug.
9. A data line, characterized in that it comprises a USB connector according to any of claims 1-8.
10. The data line of claim 9, wherein the USB connector is formed at both ends of the data line.
11. An external device for connecting to a terminal, characterized in that it comprises a USB connector according to any of claims 1-8.
12. An external device according to claim 11, wherein the external device is a removable storage device.
