The control valve assembly as claimed in claim 6 wherein said flow restricting means comprises a flow restricting poppet of squirrel cage construction and disposed over said second valve seat in said first port, and a flow restricting poppet disposed internally of said flow restricting poppet and movable within said flow restricting poppet to abut or disengage said second valve seat.
8. The control valve fitting of claim 7 wherein said restrictor plate is a resilient disc having a central bore.
9. The control valve assembly of claim 1, wherein the body includes a first port portion provided with the first port, a second port portion provided with the second port, a check valve mounting portion provided with the check valve, and a regulator valve mounting portion provided with the regulator valve, the second port portion being provided on an opposite side of the regulator valve mounting portion, the check valve mounting portion being connected to a position between the second port portion and the regulator valve mounting portion, the first port portion being provided perpendicular to the first port portion.
10. A water softener comprising a salt tank, a control valve to which the first port is connected, and a control valve fitting of any one of claims 1-9 to which the second port is connected.
