Description

Ink containing unit and ink jet printer
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a printer technical field specifically, relates to an china ink holds unit and ink jet printer.
Background
Fig. 1 schematically shows an example of an existing inkjet printer. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an inkjet printer, in which an inkjet printer 1 includes a printer body 20 and an ink containing unit 10, and the ink containing unit 10 is fixedly mounted on a certain side surface (for example, on a right side surface shown in fig. 1) of the printer body 20. For convenience of description, a direction (generally, a side on which an operation panel is mounted) of the inkjet printer 1 toward a user in a use state is defined as a front, a direction opposite to the front is defined as a rear, an end of a component located in the front is defined as a front end of the component, and an end opposite to the front is defined as a rear end. The left-right direction is defined by viewing the ink jet printer 1 from the front.
As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the ink containing unit 10 has a frame portion 12 and a cover 11 that pivots between a closed position (fig. 1) and an open position (fig. 2) with respect to the frame portion 12, and a rear end of the cover 11 is provided with a side wall 18. The ink containing unit 10 includes therein an ink containing portion 14 on which an injection portion 13 capable of injecting ink into the ink containing portion is formed. The injection part 13 includes an injection port 19, and an openable sealing member 100 is provided on the injection port 19. Referring to fig. 6a and 6b, the sealing member 100 includes a body portion 110, a fixing portion 120 for connecting with the frame portion 12 of the ink containing unit 10, and a connecting portion 130 connecting the body portion 110 and the fixing portion 120. As shown in fig. 7, the length of the connection portion 130 in the naturally extended state is L1.
When the sealing member 100 does not seal the injection port 19, the body portion 110 of the sealing member 100 may be sandwiched between the lid body 11 and the frame portion 12 when the lid body 11 is closed, so that the lid body 11 cannot be completely closed, i.e., the lid body 11 cannot reach the closed position shown in fig. 1.
When the sealing member 100 extends outward of the ink containing unit 10 in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis, as shown in fig. 4, the body portion of the sealing member 100 is sandwiched between the side of the cover body 11 and the frame portion 12, at which time a user standing in front of the ink containing unit 10 can find that the sealing member 100 is placed erroneously and can perform processing.
However, as shown in fig. 5, the seal member 100 closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit 10 may extend rearward of the ink containing unit 10 in a direction parallel to the pivot axis. At this time, since there is a gap between the side wall 18 of the rear end of the cover 11 in the closed position and the frame portion 12, the connecting portion 130 of the sealing member 100 may pass through the gap so that the main body portion 110 of the sealing member 100 closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit 10 remains outside the ink containing unit 10 when the cover 11 is in the closed position. Thus, the sealing member 100 that is erroneously placed will not be visible to a user standing in front of the ink containing unit 10. Thus, the injection port 19 of the ink containing portion 14 closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit 10 is not sealed, and evaporation/volatilization or leakage of ink may occur, which may contaminate the surrounding environment or cause economic loss.
Therefore, there is a need for an ink containing unit and an inkjet printer to at least partially solve the above problems in the prior art.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The present invention has been made to overcome the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an ink containing unit for an ink jet printer and an ink jet printer, in which a connecting portion of a sealing member for sealing an injection port is not long enough to allow a body portion to completely extend out of a rear end of a cover body in a closed position.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an ink containing unit for an ink jet printer, the ink jet printer including a printer body, characterized in that the ink containing unit includes:
a frame portion;
an ink containing portion configured to contain ink to be supplied to the printer body, the ink containing portion including a first ink containing portion and a plurality of second ink containing portions that are smaller than the first ink containing portion and are located in sequence rearward of the first ink containing portion, the first and second ink containing portions each being provided with an injection portion for injecting ink; and
a cover configured to be pivotally connected to the frame portion and pivotable relative to the frame portion about a pivot axis that extends in a horizontal direction parallel to a mounting surface of the ink containing unit to be mounted to the printer body, such that the injection portion is covered by the cover when the cover is in the closed position, and the injection portion is exposed when the cover is in the open position, and a rear end of the cover has a side wall extending downward;
wherein,
the injection portion of each of the ink containing portions includes an injection port and a sealing member for sealing the injection port, the sealing member includes a main portion, a fixing portion, and a connecting portion, the main portion and the fixing portion are connected by the connecting portion, the main portion is for sealing the injection port, the fixing portion is detachably connected with the frame portion,
a natural extension length L of the connecting portion of the seal member closest to a rear end of the ink containing unit satisfies, in a state where the fixing portion of the seal member is connected with the frame portion: d1+ D2-D3 < L < D1+ D2, wherein,
d1 is a horizontal distance from a connection point of the fixing portion and the connection portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit to the side wall;
d2 is a vertical distance from a connection point of the fixing portion and the connection portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit to a bottom end of the side wall when the cover is in the closed position;
the D3 is a diameter of the body portion of the sealing member.
According to the utility model discloses an ink holds unit, the natural extension length L of the connecting portion of the sealing member of the rear end that is closest to ink holds unit satisfies: d1+ D2-D3 < L < D1+ D2, D1 and D2 are the horizontal distance from the connection point of the fixing portion and the connecting portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit to the side wall and the vertical distance from the bottom end of the side wall, respectively, and D3 is the diameter of the body portion of the sealing member. The connecting portion of the sealing member is not long enough to extend beyond the rear end of the cover in the closed position, so that when the sealing member is removed from the injection port and extends in the direction of the rear end of the ink containing unit by a natural length, the body portion of the sealing member is sandwiched between the cover and the frame portion. Therefore, the main body can not extend out of the rear end of the cover body completely, when the cover body is closed, if the main body is placed to the rear end side wall of the cover body by mistake, the side wall of the cover body interferes with the main body to be incapable of moving to the closed position, and therefore a user can be reminded, and the problems of ink evaporation/volatilization and leakage caused by incorrect placement of the sealing component can be avoided.
Alternatively, the length of the connecting portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit is smaller than the length of the connecting portions of the other sealing members. Thus, the other sealing member may have a connecting portion having a length of a conventional size, thereby reducing costs.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided an ink jet printer including the above-described ink containing unit. In this way, the natural extension length L of the connecting portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit satisfies: d1+ D2-D3 < L < D1+ D2, such that the connecting portion is not long enough to extend beyond the rear end of the cover in the closed position, such that when the sealing member is removed from the injection opening and extends in a natural length in the direction of the rear end of the ink containing unit, the body portion of the sealing member is sandwiched between the cover and the frame portion. Therefore, the main body can not extend out of the rear end of the cover body completely, when the cover body is closed, the side wall of the cover body interferes with the main body and can not move to the closed position, and therefore a user can be reminded, and the problems of ink evaporation/volatilization and leakage caused by incorrect placement of the sealing component can be avoided.

Ordinal words such as "first" and "second" are referred to herein merely as labels, and do not have any other meaning, e.g., a particular order, etc. Also, for example, the term "first component" does not itself imply the presence of "second component", and the term "second component" does not itself imply the presence of "first component". As used herein, "horizontal", "parallel" or "vertical" means substantially or approximately "horizontal", "parallel" or "vertical".
Ink jet printer can also have various functions such as image scanner function, facsimile function, duplicator function except having the printing function. As the printing function, a double-sided image recording function of recording images on both sides of a recording sheet may be provided. Of course, the function other than the printing function is arbitrary.
As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the inkjet printer 1 includes a printer body 20 and an ink containing unit 10, and the ink containing unit 10 is fixedly mounted to the printer body 20. The printer body 20 is substantially in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, and the ink containing unit 10 is provided on the right side surface of the printer body 20 and extends rightward from the right side surface of the printer body 20. It should be understood that the ink containing unit 10 shown in fig. 1-3 is fixedly mounted to the right side surface of the printer body 20, but the ink containing unit 10 may also be configured to be detachably mounted to the printer body 20.
The ink containing unit 10 includes a frame portion 12, a cover 11, and an ink containing portion 14. An ink containing portion 14 is provided in the frame portion 12, and the ink containing portion 14 is configured to contain ink to be supplied to the printer body 20. The ink containing portion 14 includes a first ink containing portion 14a and a plurality of second ink containing portions 14b, and the second ink containing portions 14b are smaller than the first ink containing portion 14a and are located behind the first ink containing portion 14a in order. For example, the inside of the frame portion 12 may be provided with four ink containing portions 14 containing different color inks, a first ink containing portion 14a for storing black ink, and three second ink containing portions 14b for storing cyan, magenta, and yellow inks, respectively. Of course, it is also possible to provide six, eight, twelve, or the like different numbers of ink containing portions for containing ink, and accordingly use six, eight, twelve, or the like different colors of ink to record a color image.
As shown in fig. 3, each ink containing portion 14 is formed with an injection portion 13 so that a user injects ink into the inside of the ink containing portion 14 through the injection portion 13. The injection portion 13 includes an injection port 19 and a sealing member 100 for sealing the injection port 19. The injection port 19 is generally provided in a cylindrical shape, protrudes from the upper surface of the ink containing portion 14, and has an opening facing upward.
The ink containing unit 10 further includes a cover 11. The cover 11 is substantially flat and has downwardly extending side walls at the front, right and rear ends, wherein the downwardly extending side walls of the cover 11 at the rear end are denoted by reference numeral 18. The cover 11 is pivotally connected to the frame portion 12 about a pivot axis (not shown) that extends in parallel to a mounting surface 15 of the ink containing unit 10 that is mounted to the printer body 11 and in a horizontal direction, that is, extends in the front-rear direction of the ink containing unit 10. In particular, the cover 11 is pivotable relative to the frame part 12 between a closed position and an open position. It can be seen that when the cover 11 is in the closed position, the cover 11 covers the injection portion 13; when the lid 11 is in the open position, the injection portion 13 is exposed. In practice, when ink needs to be injected, the cover 11 can be pivoted from the closed position to the open position, so that the injection portion 13 is exposed, and the user can perform the ink injection operation. The present invention improves the structure of the existing ink containing unit, and shortens the length of the connecting portion 230 of the sealing member 200 closest to the lid side wall 18 as compared with the length of the connecting portion of the existing sealing member, thereby preventing the ink evaporation/volatilization and leakage caused by incorrect placement of the sealing member.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 8, the sealing member 200 includes a body portion 210 and a protrusion portion 240. The body portion 210 is shaped to fit the injection port 19 for sealing the injection port 19. The body portion 210 is generally rotationally symmetric in shape for user's convenience. Specifically, the body part 210 includes a sealing part 250 and a covering part 260. The sealing portion 250 is for insertion into the injection port 19, and may have a hollow cylindrical shape with an outer diameter slightly larger than an inner diameter of the injection port 19. The covering portion 260 may also be hollow cylindrical and have an upper surface 211 with a cylindrical portion having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the injection port 19. Thereby, when the sealing member 200 is in the sealing position closely fitted on the injection port 19, the injection port 19 is sealed by elastic deformation.
The protrusion 240 is disposed on the upper surface 211 of the body portion 210 and protrudes from the upper surface 211 of the body portion 210 for gripping by a user's finger, thereby facilitating the user's manipulation of the sealing member 200.
In addition, the sealing member 200 further includes a connection part 230 and a fixing part 220. The body portion 210 and the fixing portion 220 are connected by a connecting portion 230, and the fixing portion 220 is used to detachably connect the sealing member 200 to the frame portion 12 of the ink containing unit 10. The connection part 230 may be a flat band shape having a rectangular cross section. Fixing portion 220 may be in the shape of a cylinder having a recess at the bottom that may mate with a protrusion provided on frame portion 12 to removably mount sealing member 200 to frame portion 12.
The frame 12 may further be provided with a mounting portion 17 corresponding to the inlet 19 one by one for mounting the body portion 210 of the sealing member 200. Thus, when the sealing member 200 is removed from the inlet port 19, the main body 210 can be placed on the placement portion 17, thereby preventing contamination of the surrounding environment.
Referring to fig. 8, in a state where the fixing portion 220 of the seal member 200 is connected to the frame portion 12, a natural extension length of the connecting portion 230 of the seal member 200 closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit 10 (hereinafter, "the seal member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit 10" or "the seal member closest to the side wall 18 of the cover 11" is referred to as "the rearmost seal member") is L. The sealing member 200 is connected to the frame portion 12 by the fixing portion 220, and it is conceivable that the body portion 210 is movable within a range of a radius of the length L of the connecting portion 230.
It will be readily appreciated that part or all of the sealing member 200 may be made of a somewhat resilient material such as rubber or the like. For example, the body portion 210 made of an elastic material may provide a better sealing effect. It should be noted that the term "natural extension length of the connection portion" refers to the length of the connection portion in the case where the connection portion is not stretched by an external force or is not elastically deformed.
Referring to fig. 11, the horizontal distance D1 from the side wall 18 is the connection point of the fixing portion 220 and the connection portion 230 of the rearmost sealing member 200. When the cover 11 is in the closed position, a vertical distance D2 is defined as a distance from a connection point of the fixing portion 220 and the connection portion 230 of the rearmost sealing member 200 to the bottom end of the side wall 18.
Since it is desirable that the main body portion 210 of the rearmost sealing member 200 (including the protruding portion 240 thereon) does not extend out of the rear end of the ink containing unit 10, it is desirable that the connecting portion 230 does not extend out of the ink containing unit 10, and it is desirable that the natural extension length L of the connecting portion 230 be less than D1+ D2 in consideration of the positional relationship of the cover body 11 and the side wall 18 in the closed position with the frame portion 12.
In other words, the natural extension length L2 of the link portion 230 of the rearmost sealing member 200 is smaller than the sum of the horizontal distance D1 from the side wall 18 to the connection point of the fixing portion 220 of the rearmost sealing member 200 with the link portion 230 and the vertical distance D2 from the connection point of the fixing portion 220 of the rearmost sealing member 200 with the link portion 230 to the bottom end of the side wall 18 when the cover 11 is in the closed position.
On the other hand, since it is desirable that when the rearmost sealing member 200 is removed from the injection port and extends in the rear end direction of the ink containing unit 10 by a natural length, the body portion 210 of the sealing member 200 having the diameter D3 is sandwiched between the cover body 11 and the frame portion 12. Therefore, the natural extension length L > D1+ D2-D3 of the connecting portion 230 is desired.
In other words, the sum of the natural extension length L of the connecting portion 230 of the rearmost sealing member 200 and the diameter D3 of the body portion 210 of the sealing member 230 is greater than the sum of the horizontal distance D1 from the connecting point of the fixing portion 220 of the rearmost sealing member 200 and the connecting portion 230 to the side wall 18 and the vertical distance D2 from the connecting point of the fixing portion 220 of the rearmost sealing member 200 and the connecting portion 230 to the bottom end of the side wall 18 when the cover 11 is in the closed position.
Thus, the natural extension length L2 of the link 230 is smaller than the sum of the horizontal distance D1 and the vertical distance D2 and larger than the difference between the sum of the horizontal distance D1 and the vertical distance D2 and the diameter D3 of the body portion, so that the link 230, which is not in the sealing position, does not extend beyond the rear end of the lid body 11 in the closed position without being stretched by an external force, i.e., in the naturally extended state. As a result, even when the user forgets to place the rearmost sealing member 200 on the injection port 19 corresponding thereto, the main body portion 210 of the rearmost sealing member 200 does not extend out of the cover 11. It is likely that the body portion 210 will be sandwiched between the side wall 18 at the rear end of the cover 11 and the frame portion 12, so that the cover 11 cannot reach the closed position. Also, the user can easily find that the cover 11 is not in the closed position, so that the sealing member 200 which is not in the sealing position can be disposed of in time.
Preferably, the length L of the connection portion 230 of the rearmost seal member 200 is less than the length L1 of the connection portions 130 of the other seal members 100. For example, the length of the connecting portion 130 of the seal member 100 corresponding to the first ink containing portion 14a may not be changed, i.e., may be equal to L1, and further, the length of the connecting portion 130 of the seal member 100 corresponding to the remaining second ink containing portion 14b may be equal to L1. In this way, the seal member 100 of the first ink containing portion 14a and the other second ink containing portions 14b except for the rearmost seal member 200 may have the connecting portion 130 of the ordinary length L1.
Referring to FIG. 9, in an alternative embodiment, the seal member 300 has substantially the same configuration as the seal member 200 shown in FIG. 8. The sealing member 300 includes a body portion 310 for sealing the injection port 19, a fixing portion 320 connected to the frame portion 12 of the ink containing unit 10, a connecting portion 330 connecting the body portion 310 and the fixing portion 320, and a protruding portion 340 protruding from an upper surface of the body portion 310. The body part 310 includes a sealing part 350 and a covering part 360. Unlike the sealing member 200, the connecting portion 330 of the sealing member 300 has a circular cross-section.
Further, referring to fig. 10, in another alternative embodiment, the seal member 400 has substantially the same configuration as the seal member 200 shown in fig. 8. The sealing member 400 includes a body portion 410 for sealing the injection port 19, a fixing portion 420 connected to the ink containing unit 10, a connecting portion 430 connecting the body portion 410 and the fixing portion 420, and a protrusion portion 440 protruding from an upper surface of the body portion 410. The body part 410 includes a sealing part 450 and a covering part 460. Unlike the sealing member 200, the connection portion 430 of the sealing member 400 has a hexagonal cross-section.
Of course, the connecting portion is not limited to the above-described configuration, and other types of connecting portions may be applicable as long as the length of the connecting portion is less than D1+ D2 and greater than D1+ D2-D3.
Further, referring to fig. 12 and 13, the inner surface of the cover 11 may be further provided with an extension 21 extending downward from the cover 11, and the extension 21 may be disposed in a direction parallel to the pivot axis (i.e., a front-rear direction) and configured such that the extension 21 is located near the injection part 13 when the cover 11 is in the closed position. The extension 21 has an extension opening 22 for receiving the protrusion 240 of the sealing member 200, for example the extension opening 22 may be a cylindrical opening, the depth of which may be slightly larger than the height of the protrusion 240. The extension 21 may extend from the front end to the rear end of the lid 11, or may be provided only in the region corresponding to each injection portion 13. However, the spaces between the segments of the extension 21 and between the extension 21 and other structures of the cover 11 and the frame portion 12 do not completely accommodate the body portion 210 and the protrusion 240 of the sealing member 200 when the cover 11 is in the closed position.
Thereby, the extending portion 21 occupies a space between the cover 11 in the closed position and the upper surface of the frame portion 12 for interference with the sealing member 200 not in the sealing position. In other words, when the cover 11 approaches the closed position, the sealing member 200 which is not in the sealing position interferes with the extension 21 in the cover 11, so that the cover 11 cannot reach the closed position, and the user can easily find that the cover 11 is not in the closed position, and thus the sealing member 200 which is not placed can be disposed in time. Such a configuration allows the lid body 11 to be closed only when all the seal members 200 are in the seal position, and as long as one seal member 200 is not in the seal position, the lid body 11 cannot be closed even if placed on the placement portion 17, whereby evaporation/volatilization or leakage of ink can be effectively prevented.
Furthermore, the utility model also provides an ink jet printer, it includes foretell china ink and holds the unit. In this way, the natural extension length L of the connecting portion of the sealing member closest to the rear end of the ink containing unit satisfies: d1+ D2-D3 < L < D1+ D2, such that the connecting portion is not long enough to extend beyond the rear end of the cover in the closed position, when the sealing member is removed from the injection inlet and extends in the direction of the rear end of the ink containing unit by a natural length, such that the body portion of the sealing member is sandwiched between the cover and frame portions.
