Drawings
The characteristics and advantages of the present invention will emerge from the following detailed description of a practical embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the accompanying figure 1, in which figure 1 shows a perspective view of a spectacle frame and of spectacles making use of said frame according to the present invention.
Detailed Description
With reference to the figures, reference numeral 1 denotes a spectacle frame according to the invention, and reference numeral 10 denotes spectacles according to the invention.
The spectacle frame 1 comprises a front part 2 and two temples 3.
Preferably, the front portion 2 and the temple 3 are made of plastic. Alternatively, the front part 2 and the temples 3 may be made of metal.
The front portion 2 is adapted to support at least one lens 9. In particular, the front portion 2 comprises at least one lens supporting element 8 for supporting at least one lens 9.
In the example shown, the front portion 2 comprises two lens supporting elements 8, wherein each lens supporting element 8 is coupled to its respective lens 9 to support that lens 9.
Preferably, the lens 9 is made of polycarbonate.
Each lens supporting element 8 may comprise a top frame element or a full frame element.
Two temples 3 are hinged to opposite sides of the front portion 2 and are movable between a closed position and an open position.
According to the invention, the front part 2 and the temple 3 are constructed in such a way that an imaginary separating plane S can be defined thereby.
Above an imaginary separation plane S, the front part 2 and the temple 3 are made of a material having a first color, whereas below said imaginary separation plane S, the front part 2 and the temple 3 are made of a material having a second color, different from the first color.
This particular arrangement and configuration of the front portion 2 and the temples 3 provides an effective combination of the two colours in the frame 1. Furthermore, different materials may also be used for the two colors.
Preferably, the front portion 2 comprises a lower portion 2a and an upper portion 2b, and each temple 3 comprises a lower portion 3a and an upper portion 3 b.
Advantageously, the upper portions 2b, 3b are located above the imaginary separation plane S and have a first color, while the lower portions 2a, 3a are located below the imaginary separation plane S and have a second color.
In particular, the lower portions 2a, 3a join with the respective upper portions 2b, 3b at an imaginary separation plane S.
More particularly, a lower portion 2a of the front portion 2 is joined to a corresponding upper portion 2b of the front portion 2 at a separation line L extending along the direction X-X.
Preferably, each temple 3 comprises a first substantially straight portion 4 having one end 5 hinged to the front portion 2 and a second ear-support portion 6 connected to the first portion 4.
Advantageously, each of the first portion 4 and the second portion 6 comprises a respective lower portion 4a, 6a and a respective upper portion 4b, 6 b.
In this embodiment, the lower portion 2a of the front portion 2 and the lower portion 4a of the first portion 4 of the temple 3 are located below an imaginary separation plane P, and the upper portion 2b of the front portion 2 and the upper portion 4b of the first portion 4 of the temple 3 are located above the imaginary separation plane P.
Preferably, the front portion 2 comprises two opposite end pieces 7. Each end piece 7 has a lower portion 7a and an upper portion 7b and is hinged to the respective temple. In particular, each end piece 7 is hinged to the end 5 of the first portion 4 of its respective temple 3.
Advantageously, the end piece 7 and the temple 3 are configured in such a way that: with the temple 3 in the open position, the lower portion 7a and the upper portion 7b of the end piece 7 abut the lower portion 4a and the upper portion 4b of the first portion 4 of the temple 3.
The spectacles 10 comprise a spectacle frame 1 and at least one lens 9, here two lenses 9, coupled to the front portion 2.
Advantageously, above an imaginary separating plane S, the lens 9 has a first colour and below said imaginary separating plane S, the lens 9 has a second colour. Thus, the upper part of the lens 9 and the upper part of the frame 1 are visually integrated.
Preferably, each lens 9 comprises a lower portion 9a and an upper portion 9 b. Advantageously, the upper portions 9b of the two lenses 9 are located above the imaginary separation plane S and have said first colour, while the lower portions 9a of the two lenses 9 are located below the imaginary separation plane S and have the second colour.
In particular, the lower portion 9a joins the respective upper portion 9b at an imaginary separation plane S.
More particularly, the lower portion 9a is joined to the respective upper portion 9b at a separation line L.
Advantageously, the lower portion 2a of the front portion 2, the lower portion 9a of the lens 9 and the lower portion 4a of the first portion 4 of the temple 3 are located below an imaginary separation plane P, and the upper portion 2b of the front portion 2, the upper portion 9b of the lens 9 and the upper portion 4b of the first portion 4 of the temple 3 are located above this imaginary separation plane P.
The foregoing disclosure clearly shows that the invention achieves the intended objects.
In particular, since the front portion 2 and the temples 3 are made of materials having different colors above and below the imaginary separating plane S, the present invention can effectively use the provided frame portions made of different colors.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that numerous variations and modifications may be made to the arrangements as described hereinabove to meet additional and specific requirements.
All such variations and modifications are intended to be within the scope of the present invention as defined in the appended claims.
