人造革是一种仿造天然皮革的塑料制品。通常以织布为基材，将聚氨酯或聚氯乙烯发泡层设于基材上，在发泡层上设有聚氨酯或聚氯乙烯表层，经压轮压平或压花，即得产品。随着人造革技术的发展，凭借其具有接近天然皮革的各种性能材质等特点，已经在生活中的大部分领域用于取代天然皮革。由于人造革制品在使用过程中难免会沾碰到水，若是被水浸泡则会影响到人造革的使用寿命。
