Abstract

一种电连接器,用于连接两个电子元件,其包括:第一绝缘本体、位于第一绝缘本体下方的第二绝缘本体、接触元件及若干导电端子,第一绝缘本体设有若干第一通孔,第二绝缘本体设有与第一通孔分别对齐的若干第二通孔,其特征在于:第二通孔具有一个镀有导电层的内壁,接触元件连接于导电层并越过第二绝缘本体的底面以与其中一电子元件相配合,导电端子分别置于第一通孔中并包括与另一电子元件配合的接触部及与导电层配合的对接部。由于使用导电层作为与导电端子配合的导电路径,因此可节约材料成本。同时,相对于现有技术,本实用新型电连接器亦便于制造。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种安装于电路板上用来连接一个芯片元件的电连接器。
【背景技术】
各种各样的电连接器被广泛的使用于计算器***中,用于连接两个电子元件,比如一个电路板和一个芯片元件。这些连接器不仅作为芯片元件的承载装置,同时用于建立电子元件之间的电性连接。
美国专利第5,362,241号揭示了一种用于连接两电子元件的电连接器,其包括相互堆叠的一个上层绝缘盖体和一个下层绝缘本体。绝缘盖体和绝缘本体共同形成若干用来固持端子组合的通孔。参此专利的图1及图2,其第一实施例的端子组合设有相互配合的上端子和下端子。上端子具有一对接触臂,接触臂收容在下端子的一个套筒中。当电子元件安装到电连接器时,上端子的接触臂抵压下端子套筒的倾斜内侧面从而产生一弹性力,以保证连接器与电子元件之间的可靠接触。此专利的图3及图4为另一实施例,其大体结构与前一实施例相同。差异在于下端子具有一凸起的表面以和上端子的接触臂配合,从而产生所需弹性力。
尽管以上的端子组合均可以产生一定的弹性力,然后由于上下端子均为硬质的金属端子,因此占用了较大的空间同时也利用了较多的金属材料。
因此,确有必要对现有的电连接器进行改进以克服现有技术的缺陷。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种可降低成本的电连接器。
本实用新型电连接器是通过以下技术方案实现的:一种电连接器,用于连接两个电子元件,其包括:第一绝缘本体、位于第一绝缘本体下方的第二绝缘本体、接触元件及若干导电端子,第一绝缘本体设有若干第一通孔,第二绝缘本体设有与第一通孔分别对齐的若干第二通孔,第二通孔具有一个镀有导电层的内壁,接触元件连接于导电层并越过第二绝缘本体的底面以与其中一电子元件相配合,导电端子分别置于第一通孔中并包括与另一电子元件配合的接触部及与导电层配合的对接部。
本实用新型技术方案的有益效果在于:电连接器使用导电层作为与导电端子配合的导电路径,可节约材料成本。同时,相对于现有技术,本实用新型电连接器亦便于制造。
本实用新型的进一步改善在于:内壁具有一个倾斜结构,此倾斜结构与对接部相配合以产生保证电连接器与电子元件可靠连接的弹性力。
本实用新型的另一改善在于:对接部包括一对与导电层相接触的接触脚。第二通孔具有一个开口,开口的直径大于第一通孔的直径,接触脚具有一个肩部以防止导电端子从第一绝缘本体和第二绝缘本体中脱落。第一绝缘本体具有四个侧壁以形成一个用于收容其中一电子元件的收容腔。
根据本实用新型的第一实施例,导电端子为冲压型端子并呈片体结构;根据本实用新型的第二实施例,导电端子为弯折形成的线型端子。

【具体实施方式】
图1及图2分别为本实用新型电连接器第一实施例的组合图和分解图。如图4A-4B所示,电连接器1用于连接两个电子元件(本实用新型中为芯片元件6和电路板7)。
电连接器1包括一个第一绝缘本体2和一个位于第一绝缘本体2下方的第二绝缘本体3。第一绝缘本体2和第二绝缘本体3分别设有若干第一通孔20和第二通孔30。第一绝缘本体2和第二绝缘本体3堆叠时,第一通孔20和第二通孔30在竖直方向上对齐。第一绝缘本体2上围绕着四个侧壁21,同时形成一个收容腔22用来收容芯片元件6。参照图3A-4B,第二绝缘本体3的第二通孔30的内壁31上镀有导电层32。内壁31的中部形成倾斜结构从而使第二通孔30呈漏斗状。第二通孔30具有一个上开口(未标示),上开口的直径大于第一绝缘本体2的第一通孔20的直径。一个接触元件(本实用新型中为锡球5)附着在导电层32上并与其电性相连。锡球5越过第二绝缘本体3的底面并和电路板7上的导电片70接触。
参照图2-4B,导电端子4包括一个位于第一通孔20内用以与芯片元件6的导电片60相电性连接的接触部40以及一对向下伸入到第二通孔30中的接触脚41。两个接触脚41构成导电端子4的对接部,以和镀在第二通孔30内壁31上的导电层32相接触。导电端子4为冲压形成的片体结构,每一接触脚41具有一肩部410,肩部410和第一通孔20的***配合以防止导电端子4从第一绝缘本体2和第二绝缘本体3中脱落。
当芯片元件6放置于第一绝缘本体2的收容腔22中并与导电端子4相配合时,导电端子4被压缩并向下运动。接触脚41由于与第二通孔30内的倾斜结构相配合而产生变形,同时保持与导电层32的充分接触。通过导电层32和导电端子4之间的电性连接,芯片元件6实现了与电路板7之间的电性导通。此外,接触脚41的变形也提供了保证导电端子4和芯片元件6可靠连接的弹性力。当芯片元件6从电连接器1中移除时,导电端子4在弹性力的驱使下向上运动而回到初始位置。
图5A-5B为本实用新型第二实施例的电连接器1’,其与第一实施例的电连接器1具有相似的结构。电连接器1’包括在竖直方向上相互堆叠的第一绝缘本体2’及第二绝缘本体3’。若干导电端子4’可浮动地组装在第一绝缘本体2’和第二绝缘本体3’中。导电端子4’包括一位于第一绝缘本体2’中的接触部40’以及位于第二绝缘本体3’中的一对接触脚41’。与第一实施例中的冲压结构导电端子4不同的是,第二实施例的导电端子4’为线型结构,可由金属丝弯折而成。
由于本实用新型电连接器使用导电层作为与导电端子配合的导电路径,因而可节约材料成本。同时,本实用新型电连接器亦便于制造。

Claims (7)

1.一种电连接器,用于连接两个电子元件,其包括:第一绝缘本体、位于第一绝缘本体下方的第二绝缘本体、接触元件及若干导电端子,第一绝缘本体设有若干第一通孔,第二绝缘本体设有与第一通孔分别对齐的若干第二通孔,其特征在于:第二通孔具有一个镀有导电层的内壁,接触元件连接于导电层并越过第二绝缘本体的底面以与其中一电子元件相配合,导电端子分别置于第一通孔中并包括与另一电子元件配合的接触部及与导电层配合的对接部。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述内壁具有一个倾斜结构,此倾斜结构与对接部相配合以产生保证电连接器与电子元件可靠连接的弹性力。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述对接部包括一对与导电层相接触的接触脚。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述第二通孔具有一个开口,开口的直径大于第一通孔的直径,接触脚具有一个肩部以防止导电端子从第一绝缘本体和第二绝缘本体中脱落。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述第一绝缘本体具有四个侧壁以形成一个用于收容其中一电子元件的收容腔。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导电端子为冲压型端子并呈片体结构。
7.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导电端子为弯折形成的线型端子。
