本发明涉及结构化(structured)表面活性剂组合物,更具体地说,本发明涉及光学透明的结构化表面活性剂组合物。
背景技术
结构化表面活性剂组合物通常是可泵送的非牛顿型组合物,由于其中存在着表面活性剂相(表面活性剂相可被溶剂相分散),所以结构化表面活性剂组合物能够使固体颗粒物理悬浮。通常,表面活性剂相以堆积的球粒(即,层状小滴)的形式而存在并分散在水性相中。结构化表面活性剂组合物可用于:家庭护理应用,例如液体洗涤剂、洗衣剂、硬质表面清洁剂和餐具洗涤液;以及个人护理制剂,例如洗发剂、沐浴液、洗手皂、护肤液、乳霜、调理剂、剃须产品、洗面奶、儿童护理制剂和皮肤护理用品。其它应用可包括油田制剂以及农用化学品制剂。
结构化表面活性剂组合物通常呈现出不透明的浑浊外观,这使得在需要外观清澈透明的应用中,这些结构化表面活性剂组合物没有吸引力。国际专利申请公开No.WO00/36079公开了一种液体洗涤剂组合物,根据描述,该组合物在25℃下是基本透明的,其中,通过加入糖类物质来调节溶剂相的折射率,并对结构化表面活性剂组合物进行高剪切操作,由此解决了浑浊的问题,但是据该专利文献叙述(第58页第6-8行),在不加糖类物质的情况下,剪切操作不足以产生透明性。

发明详述及优选实施方案
本文所用的与结构化表面活性剂组合物相关的术语“光学透明”是指:当在500-570纳米的波长下以25°的角度通过1厘米的路径长度、并用水作为100%透射率的标准物来测量时,该组合物表现出的光透射率大于或等于5%,优选为大于或等于10%,更优选为大于或等于25%,更优选为大于或等于30%。
本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物一般含有两个或多个非连续相。在一个实施方案中,该组合物含有水性相和结构化表面活性剂相。在一个实施方案中,该水性相是连续相,而结构化表面活性剂相是非连续相并分散在水性相中。
“层状表面活性剂相”是这样一种物相,其中含有多个平行排列并被液体介质隔开的表面活性剂双层。层状相包括球粒相和典型形式的液晶G相及其混合物。“G相”在文献中有时也被称为“Lα相”,它通常是可流动的、非牛顿型的、各向异性的制品,其外观不透明并且在流动时呈现出特征性的“易弄脏的”外观。层状相可以以多种不同的形式而存在,这些形式包括平行的片状区(其构成上述典型的G相的主体)以及球粒(所述的球粒是由大量同中心的球形外壳形成的,其中每一个外壳都是表面活性剂双层)。在本说明书中,术语“G相”专用于至少部分为上述前一种形式的组合物。球粒的直径通常为0.1-50微米,因此其与胶束根本不同。与胶束溶液不同的是,球粒组合物是基本上含有至少两相的多相组合物、并且通常是各向异性以及非牛顿型的。在球粒紧密堆积并且稳定的情况下,该球粒具有优异的固体悬浮性,并且能够含有不溶或部分可溶的固体、液体和/或气体作为悬浮在“球粒状表面活性剂相”(即球粒组合物的连续基质)中的分离的非连续相。采用例如光学显微镜在正交偏振光(放大倍数约为40×)下观察结构化表面活性剂组合物中的表面活性剂相的形态。
本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物中的阴离子表面活性剂的球粒部分可以含有不同尺寸的球粒,通常也确实是含有不同尺寸的球粒。通常,阴离子表面活性剂的球粒部分中的球粒基本上均匀地分散在组合物的结构化表面活性剂相中。更通常的是,结构化表面活性剂相的主要部分含有所述的球粒。甚至更通常的是,结构化表面活性剂相含有球粒状表面活性剂相、以及可任选的一个或多个层状G相。再更通常的是,结构化表面活性剂相是球粒状表面活性剂相。
在一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物表现出剪切变稀的粘度。

本文用于描述水性组合物的特征的短语“能够使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮”或者“使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮”是指:该组合物基本上可防止所述成分漂浮在该组合物中,或可防止所述成分在该组合物中下沉,使得所述成分在该组合物中表现出平衡的浮力,并且在所预计的该组合物的加工、储存和使用条件下,所述成分保持至少基本悬浮在该组合物中的状态。
在一个实施方案中,本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物含有:约10pbw到约50pbw、更通常为约15pbw到约40pbw、更通常为约20pbw到约35pbw的阴离子表面活性剂;以及约50pbw到约90pbw、更通常为约60pbw到约85pbw、更通常为约65pbw到约80pbw的水。
本文所用的术语“糖类物质”包括单糖(例如葡萄糖和果糖)、二糖(例如蔗二糖、蔗糖、乳糖和麦芽糖)、及其混合物。虽然所加入的糖类物质改变了水性相的折射率,但糖类物质是不合需要的,这是因为糖类物质通常对皮肤感觉和滑润性具有不利的影响,并且可能会不利地减少发泡量。

合适的脂肪醇包括(例如):(C10-C24)饱和或不饱和的支链或直链醇,更通常为(C10-C20)饱和或不饱和的支链或直链醇,例如癸醇、月桂醇、肉豆蔻醇、鲸蜡醇、硬脂醇、油醇、亚油醇和亚麻醇。
合适的烷氧基化的醇包括:烷氧基化的(通常是乙氧基化的)(C10-C24)饱和或不饱和的支链或直链醇(更通常为(C10-C20)饱和或不饱和的支链或直链醇)的衍生物,其中平均每一个烷氧基化的醇的分子上可具有1-22个烷氧基单元,例如平均每一个分子上具有5个氧化亚乙基单元的乙氧基化月桂醇。

在一个实施方案中,本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物含有:在100pbw的该组合物中,占大约0.1pbw到约25pbw、更通常为约0.5pbw到约10pbw的结构化试剂。
有些表面活性剂、特别是油溶性极强的表面活性剂(例如异丙胺烷基苯磺酸盐)即使是在没有电解质存在的情况下,也可在水中形成絮凝的结构化组合物。在这种情况下,水性介质可基本上由水构成。但是,有些表面活性剂只有在溶解的电解质的存在下、特别是高浓度的电解质溶液中才能形成絮凝物。
合适的电解质包括:多价阴离子的盐,例如焦磷酸钾、三聚磷酸钾、以及柠檬酸钠或柠檬酸钾;多价阳离子的盐,包括碱土金属盐,例如氯化钙和溴化钙,以及卤化锌、氯化钡和硝酸钙;一价阳离子与一价阴离子形成的盐,包括碱金属卤化物或卤化铵(例如氯化钾、氯化钠、碘化钾、溴化钠和溴化铵)、碱金属硝酸盐或硝酸铵、以及聚电解质(例如未封端的聚丙烯酸盐、聚马来酸盐或聚羧酸盐、木质素磺酸盐或萘磺酸盐甲醛共聚物)。
通常,表面活性剂的含量(该含量依赖于其溶解度)越高,则为了形成能够支持固体物质和/或能够引起结构化表面活性剂絮凝的结构,而需要的电解质的量就越少。在一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物含有足量的电解质以促进球粒的形成。
电解质可作为单独的成分添加,或者可以与本发明的组合物中的其它成分结合在一起而添加。
在一个实施方案中,本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物含有:在100pbw的该结构化表面活性剂组合物中,最多占大约40pbw、更通常为约1pbw到约30pbw、更通常为约2pbw到约20pbw的电解质。
除了阴离子表面活性剂和结构化试剂以外,本发明的组合物还可含有阳离子表面活性剂、非离子表面活性剂、两性表面活性剂、两性离子表面活性剂、或其混合物。

本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物还可任选地含有一种或多种防腐剂,例如苯甲醇、羟苯甲酸甲酯、对羟基苯甲酸丙酯或咪唑烷基脲,以及DMDM海因;并且还可任选地含有一种或多种pH调节剂,如柠檬酸、琥珀酸、磷酸、氢氧化钠或碳酸钠。
概括而言,本发明的结构化表面活性剂组合物是通过以下方法制成的:将阴离子表面活性剂和水加到一起并混合,可任选地调节pH以及/或者加入防腐剂,然后加入结构化试剂,并对该组合物进行高剪切混合。本文所用的术语“高剪切混合”是指在高剪切条件下进行的混合,剪切速率通常为大于或等于约1,000s-1,更通常为大于或等于约3,500s-1。
可以在已知的混合设备(例如高剪切混合器或均化器)中对结构化表面活性剂进行高剪切混合。
剪切变稀的粘度通过已知的粘度测定法来测量,诸如例如,使用旋转粘度计(如布氏粘度计)。在一个实施方案中,当使用装有合适转子的布氏旋转粘度计以约0.1转/分(“rpm”)到约60rpm的转速对本发明的组合物进行粘度测量时,该组合物表现出剪切变稀行为。
本发明的组合物能够使不溶于水的颗粒或部分水溶性的成分(如植物油、矿物油、硅油、固体颗粒、研磨剂和类似物)悬浮。所述的组合物提供了一种手段,其可在表面活性剂混合物中引入用其它方法难以混合的成分,这样,通过这种手段可以获得具有多重功效的化妆品制剂,这些功效包括(在某些情况下)清洁、增湿、改善的皮肤感觉、磨皮/磨砂、焕然一新的外观、或这些功效的综合。
组合物使水不溶性成分或部分水不溶性成分悬浮的能力通常通过以下方法评价:充分搅拌组合物以将气泡捕获在组合物中,然后目视观察在一定时期内(诸如例如12到24小时)在一定的环境条件(诸如例如室温)下,气泡是否还留在组合物中。在一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物能够使气泡悬浮至少1周,更通常为至少3个月。能够在室温下使气泡悬浮至少12小时的组合物被认为是在通常所预计的该组合物的加工、储存和使用条件下,一般能够使该组合物中的水不溶性成分或部分水溶性的成分悬浮。对于空气以外的成分,应该通过使用所关心的成分进行类似的悬浮试验,来对空气悬浮试验的结果进行证实。对于非常苛刻的加工、储存及/或使用条件,更严格的试验可能是合适的。
在一个实施方案中,在更严格的条件下对水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分的悬浮能力进行评价,即,对混合后的样品进行一次或多次冷冻/解冻循环,其中每次冷冻/解冻循环是由-10℃下12小时和25℃下12小时构成的,然后目视评价该样品。在一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物在经历一次冷冻/解冻循环(更通常为3次冷冻/解冻循环)后,仍然能够悬浮气泡。
本发明的组合物可用于(例如):个人护理应用,例如洗发剂、沐浴液、洗手皂、护肤液、乳霜、调理剂、剃须产品、洗面奶、中性洗发剂、个人擦拭用品和皮肤护理用品;家庭护理应用,例如液体洗涤剂、洗衣剂、硬质表面清洁剂、餐具洗涤液和抽水马桶清洁剂;以及其它应用,例如油田应用以及农用化学品应用。
在一个实施方案中,本发明的个人护理组合物包含一种或多种不溶于或仅部分可溶于结构化表面活性剂体系中的材料,并且该材料可以是固体、液体或气体的形式,并可以作为有益试剂(benefit agent)(例如润滑剂、增湿剂、调理剂、维生素、研磨剂、UV吸收剂、抗菌剂、和/或外观调节用添加剂(例如着色颗粒或反射颗粒))而被提供。

实施例1
实施例1的组合物是通过以下方法制成的:将如表I所列的各种成分以各自的相对用量混合在一起,使用型号为ME100L的Ross混合器(筛网上带有小孔)在8-10速下将所得的混合物剪切5分钟左右,取50mL剪切后的混合物样品在6,000RPM的转速下离心15分钟。实施例1的组合物表现出极轻微的混浊,但其明显比类似的未经过剪切的样品更为透明。

实施例2的组合物是通过以下方法制成的:使用Ultra TurraxT25 basic IKA Larortechnik均质器,在6速(24,000分钟-1)下将成分如实施例1的、经过剪切但是还未经过离心的混合物再次剪切2分钟左右,然后在与实施例1的组合物所用的条件相同的条件下,对剪切后的组合物进行离心。与实施例1的组合物相比,实施例2的组合物表现出的透明性得到提高。
实施例3-6
将如上表I所列的各种成分以各自的相对用量混合在一起,由此制成用于制备实施例3-6所述组合物的备用组合物。
实施例3-6的组合物各自是通过以下方法制成的:在600mL的烧杯中,使用IKA Labortechnic Eurostar Power D混合器(带有直径为2英寸的4叶片圆盘涡轮搅拌器)以下表II所示的各种速度、对300g备用组合物样品进行剪切,然后在4500rpm下将样品离心30分钟。
然后用Varian CARY100型UV/VIS分光光度计测量实施例3-6中的各个组合物的透射率百分比,用水作为100%透射率的标准物。下表II列出了在不同的混合时间之后的各个组合物的透射率百分比。使用配有T-bar E的布氏RVT粘度计测量高剪切混合后的各个组合物的粘度特征(测试条件为25℃,1分钟),该数据也列在表II中。

Claims (22)
1.一种光学透明的水性结构化表面活性剂组合物,其含有:在每100重量份的该组合物中,占0重量份到低于2.5重量份的糖类物质;以及在每100重量份的该组合物中,占大于7.7重量份到约50重量份的阴离子表面活性剂,其中,至少一部分所述的阴离子表面活性剂为球粒形式。
2.权利要求1所述的组合物,其中所述组合物表现出剪切变稀的粘度。
3.权利要求1所述的组合物,其中所述组合物能够使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮。
4.权利要求1所述的组合物,其中所述的阴离子表面活性剂选自:直链烷基苯磺酸盐、α-烯烃磺酸盐、链烷烃磺酸盐、烷基酯磺酸盐、烷基硫酸盐、烷基烷氧基硫酸盐、烷基磺酸盐、烷基烷氧基羧酸盐、烷基烷氧基化硫酸盐、单烷基磷酸盐、二烷基磷酸盐、肌氨酸盐、羟乙基磺酸盐、牛磺酸盐、及其混合物。
5.权利要求1所述的组合物,其中所述组合物还含有至少为有效量的一种或多种结构化试剂。
6.权利要求5所述的组合物,其中所述的结构化试剂选自:阳离子表面活性剂、脂肪醇、烷氧基化的醇、脂肪酸、脂肪酸酯、链烷醇酰胺、电解质、及其混合物。
8.权利要求7所述的组合物,其中所述的阳离子表面活性剂包括季铵化合物。
9.权利要求6所述的组合物,其中所述组合物还含有一种或多种选自脂肪酸链烷醇酰胺和烷氧基化的链烷醇酰胺中的链烷醇酰胺。
10.一种制备光学透明的结构化表面活性剂组合物的方法,该方法包括:
制备水性结构化表面活性剂组合物,该组合物含有:在每100重量份的该组合物中,占0重量份到低于2.5重量份的糖类物质;以及在每100重量份的该组合物中,占大于7.7重量份到约50重量份的阴离子表面活性剂,其中至少一部分所述的阴离子表面活性剂为球粒形式;以及
对所述的结构化表面活性剂组合物进行高剪切混合。
11.权利要求10所述的方法,其中对所述的结构化表面活性剂组合物进行剪切速率大于或等于约1,000s-1的高剪切混合。
12.一种用于提高水性结构化表面活性剂组合物的光学透明性的方法,该方法包括:对水性结构化表面活性剂组合物进行高剪切混合,其中所述的水性结构化表面活性剂组合物含有:在每100重量份的该组合物中,占0重量份到低于2.5重量份的糖类物质;以及在每100重量份的该组合物中,占大于7.7重量份到约50重量份的阴离子表面活性剂,其中至少一部分所述的阴离子表面活性剂为球粒形式。
13.一种个人护理组合物,该个人护理组合物含有光学透明的结构化表面活性剂成分,所述的光学透明的结构化表面活性剂成分含有:在每100重量份的该成分中,占0重量份到低于2.5重量份的糖类物质;以及在每100重量份的该成分中,占大于7.7重量份到约50重量份的阴离子表面活性剂,其中至少一部分所述的阴离子表面活性剂为球粒形式。
14.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的光学透明的结构化表面活性剂成分表现出剪切变稀的粘度或者能够使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮,或者所述的光学透明的结构化表面活性剂成分表现出剪切变稀的粘度并且能够使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮。
15.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述组合物还含有一种或多种有益试剂。
16.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的光学透明的结构化表面活性剂成分形成第一相,并且该组合物还具有一个或多个附加相,该附加相与所述的第一相至少基本不同。
17.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的光学透明的水性结构化表面活性剂成分形成第一相,该第一相表现出剪切变稀的粘度、并且能够使水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分悬浮,该组合物还具有至少一个附加相,该附加相与所述的第一相至少基本不同,其中所述的附加相含有一种或多种水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分。
18.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的第一相是连续相,而所述的附加相是非连续相,并且所述的非连续相分散在所述的连续相中。
19.权利要求13所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的光学透明的水性结构化表面活性剂成分形成第一相,该组合物还具有至少一个附加相,该附加相与所述的第一相至少在视觉上基本不同。
20.一种个人护理组合物,该个人护理组合物含有:
光学透明的水性结构化表面活性剂组合物,所述的结构化表面活性剂组合物含有:在每100重量份的该水性结构化表面活性剂组合物中,占0重量份到低于2.5重量份的糖类物质;以及在每100重量份的该水性结构化表面活性剂组合物中,占大于7.7重量份到约50重量份的阴离子表面活性剂,其中至少一部分所述的阴离子表面活性剂为球粒形式;以及
一个或多个非连续相,其中每一个所述的非连续相都含有功能性物质或装饰性物质,所述的非连续相分散在所述的结构化表面活性剂组合物中。
21.权利要求20所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的光学透明的水性结构化表面活性剂组合物形成连续相。
22.权利要求20所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的一个或多个非连续相各自含有水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分。
23.权利要求22所述的个人护理组合物,其中所述的水不溶性成分或部分水溶性成分选自润滑剂、增湿剂、调理剂、维生素、研磨剂、UV吸收剂、抗菌剂、外观调节用添加剂、及其混合物。
