Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及移动终端,尤其涉及用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的装置和方法。
背景技术
一般而言,移动终端使用诸如液晶显示(LCD)设备、场致发射显示(FED)设备、等离子显示面板(PDP)、电荧光(EL)显示面板等平板显示器。
在这些平板显示设备之中,EL显示面板指的是包括响应于电子和空穴(具有对应于电子的正电荷的粒子)的重组而发光的荧光物质的发光二极管。EL面板可被分类成使用无机化合物作为荧光材料的无机EL,以及使用有机化合物作为荧光材料的有机EL(或有机发光二极管(OLED))。
与其它显示设备不同,EL显示面板可使用10V的低电压来驱动。与LCD形成对比,EL显示面板不需要背光,且因此可被制造得更薄。
另外,EL显示面板具有若干优点,包括更宽的视角、与LCD设备相比更快的相应速度,因此期望将其用作下一代显示设备。
有机EL二极管通常具有电子注入层、电子透过层、发光层、空穴透过层以及空穴注入层,所有这些层都堆叠在阴极和阳极之间。当在阳极和阴极之间施加某一电压时,从阴极产生的电子经由电子注入层和电子透过层移向发光层,而从阳极产生的空穴经由空穴注入层和空穴透过层移向发光层。然后,发光层借助分别从电子透过层和空穴透过层提供的电子和空穴的重组来发光。
有机EL二极管使用了分别从阴极和阳极注入的电子和空穴在有机化合物内组合以自发光的这一现象。
采用有机EL作为显示器的移动终端与采用薄膜晶体管(TFT)LCD或超扭曲向列(STN)LCD的移动终端相比会不利地消耗相对较高的功率。因此,采用有机EL的移动终端的功耗在显示亮色时会增加,而在显示暗色时会减少。由于具有有机EL的移动终端的功耗取决于所显示的颜色,因此当显示白色调的颜色时功耗尤其会增加。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供一种用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的装置和方法,其中当显示该待机屏幕时,使用颜色反转来降低所消耗的功率。
为实现这一和其它优点,且根据本发明的目的,如此处所具体化并宽泛地描述的,提供了一种用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的装置,包括用于显示图像的显示器,以及用于当终端处于终端模式时测量图像内的至少一种颜色的比例、当该至少一种颜色的比例大于预定量时反转图像颜色、并显示所反转的图像的控制器。
较佳地,当终端处于终端模式时,一控制器测量图像内至少一种颜色的比例。
较佳地,终端模式是从待机模式、空闲模式、菜单模式和特定功能模式中选择的。
较佳地,显示器是电荧光(EL)显示面板。
较佳地,预定量是50%。
较佳地,移动量是用户选择的。
较佳地,当终端不再处于终端模式时,控制器重新显示原始图像。
较佳地,当至少一种颜色少于预定量时,控制器根据用户输入调整图像的灰度级,并显示灰度级图像。
为实现这些和其它优点并根据本发明的目的,一种用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的方法包括:检查终端的状态;当终端的模式被转换成待机模式时测量显示在显示器上的图像的颜色分布程度;当某一颜色的分布大于预定量时反转该图像的某一颜色;以及当释放终端的待机模式时恢复该图像的经转换的颜色。

图1是示出根据本发明的一个实施例的移动终端的构造的框图。根据本发明的一个实施例的移动终端可包括用于储存构成屏幕的多个图像的存储器30、用于显示储存在存储器30中的图像或从终端提供的图像的显示器20、以及用于测量显示在显示器20上的图像的颜色分布程度,且当颜色分布大于或等于预定量(例如,50%)时反转图像的某一颜色(例如,白色或白色调的颜色)的控制器10。
当某一颜色的分布少于预定量(例如,50%)时,控制器10可将图像的灰度级降低到由用户或***设置的级别,并显示该图像。之后,当终端结束待机模式时,控制器10将图像的经反转的颜色恢复到原始的颜色。
图2是根据本发明的一个实施例在操作模式中所显示的菜单屏幕的示例性视图。
图2所示的菜单屏幕是移动终端的图形用户界面(GUI)之一,GUI以较低的灰度级显示。
对于具有有机EL的移动终端,在白色的功耗大约为100%的假设下,诸如黑色等深色的功耗大约为0%。因此,具有有机EL的移动终端通过以显示更深的颜色来构造终端GUI可具有较低功耗的优点。
如图2所示,本发明可通过使用较低的灰度级显示终端GUI来降低功耗。具体地,在显示GUI(例如,待机屏幕、菜单屏幕等)时,在终端的操作模式下,控制器10可将图像的灰度级降低到用户或***设置的级别并显示它。
以下将详细说明根据本发明的一个实施例用于显示待机屏幕的方法。
图3是示出根据本发明的一个实施例用于显示待机屏幕的方法的流程图,图4是示出根据本发明的颜色反转的示例性视图。
图4所示的图像是从服务网络或其它设备(例如,个人计算机等)提供的,且图4的图像当前显示在显示器20上。
首先,控制器10监视终端以检查终端是否处于待机模式(S10)。此处,当用户在某一时间内未提供任何内容或者未生成外部事件时,终端处于待机模式。
当终端处于待机模式时,控制器10测量包含在图像中的所选颜色(例如,白色)的分布程度(S20和S30)。如果根据测量所选颜色分布大于预定的量(例如,50%),则如图4所示,控制器10反转图像的颜色(S40和S50)。如果所选颜色分布小于预定的量(50%),则控制器10可将图像的灰度级降低到用户或***设置的级别并显示它(S60)。
之后,当终端处于操作模式时,控制器10将恢复图像的经反转的颜色(S70)。
本发明,即用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的装置和方法不限于上述实施例,而是可在不脱离其精神或本质特征的情况下用若干中形式来实施。
根据本发明,一种移动终端包括用于显示图像的显示单元,以及与显示屏幕共同操作以在移动终端处于待机模式时测量图像的颜色分布、并在图像的某一颜色分布大于或等于预定值时反转该颜色的控制器。显示单元可以是电荧光(EL)显示面板,而预定值可以是50%。控制器可被配置成当终端处于操作模式时恢复图像的经反转的颜色。此外,控制器可被配置成如果颜色分布少于预定值则降低图像的灰度级来控制图像的灰度级。控制器还可被配置成当终端处于操作模式时降低图像的灰度级。
根据本发明,一种用于在移动终端上显示图像的方法可包括监视终端的状态,当终端进入待机模式时测量显示图像的颜色分布级别,当颜色分布级别大于或等于预定值时反转图像的某一颜色,以及当终端处于操作模式时恢复该图像的经反转的颜色。
根据本发明,一种移动通信终端包括用于显示图像的显示设备,以及与该显示设备共同操作的处理器,用于监视显示设备的发光效率;当终端进入待机模式时测量所显示的图像的颜色分布级别;并基于所测量的颜色分布级别和亮度效率用控制信号控制显示设备以减少功率的使用。控制显示设备还包括当颜色分布级别大于或等于预定量时反转图像的某一颜色,并且当颜色分布级别小于预定量时降低图像的灰度级。
如上所述,通过利用根据本发明的用于显示移动终端的待机屏幕的装置和方法,可通过降低图像的灰度级或反转图像的颜色来有效地降低显示待机屏幕的功耗。
由于可在本发明的范围内作出许多不同的实施例,且可在各实施例中进行多种修改,因此可以理解,此处的细节应被解释为仅是说明性的,而非在限制的意义上。

Claims (12)

1.一种用于显示移动终端图像的装置,所述装置包括:
在所述终端处于待机模式时测量所述图像内的至少一种颜色的颜色分布的装置;
当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布高于预定量时反转所述图像颜色的装置;以及
显示反转后的图像的装置,
其中所述至少一种颜色为白色调的颜色,
其中所述预定量为50%。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于还包括在电致发光显示面板上显示反转后的图像的装置。
3.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于还包括当所述终端不再处于待机模式时重新显示原始图像的装置。
4.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于还包括当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布少于预定量时根据用户输入调整所述图像的灰度级,并显示所述灰度级图像的装置。
5.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于还包括当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布少于预定量时根据预定灰度级调整所述图像灰度级,并显示所述图像的灰度级的装置。
6.一种用于显示移动终端图像的方法,所述方法包括:
当所述终端处于待机模式时,测量所述图像中的至少一种颜色的颜色分布;
当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布大于预定量时,反转所述图像颜色;以及
显示反转后的图像,
其中所述至少一种颜色为白色调的颜色,
其中所述预定量为50%。
7.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括在电致发光显示面板上显示反转后的图像。
8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括当所述终端不再处于所述待机模式时重新显示原始图像。
9.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布少于预定量时根据用户输入调整所述图像的灰度级,并显示所述图像灰度级。
10.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括当所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布少于预定量时根据预定灰度级调整所述图像灰度级,并显示所述图像的灰度级。
11.一种用于显示移动终端图像的方法,所述方法包括:
当所述终端处于待机模式时,测量所述图像中的至少一种颜色的颜色分布;
判断至少一种颜色的颜色分布是否大于或等于预定量;
当判断出所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布大于或等于预定量时,反转所述图像颜色并显示反转后的图像;以及
当判断出所述至少一种颜色的颜色分布小于所述预定量时,则将图像的灰度级降低到用户设置的级别并显示所述灰度级图像,
其中所述至少一种颜色为白色调的颜色,
其中所述预定量为50%。
12.如权利要求11所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括在电致发光显示面板上显示反转后的图像。
