Abstract

本发明提供一种高速记录时显示出充分优异的记录特性的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料。为了达到上述目的,本发明的光记录材料,是利用光的照射可以记录信息的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料,其特征是,该光记录媒体是以14m/秒以上的线速度记录信息的光记录媒体,光记录材料中所含有的色素成分含有1种以上的偶氮化合物与金属的螯合化合物,所述色素成分,在将该色素成分作为试样在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,在180~250℃时的所述试样的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。

光记录材料及光记录媒体
技术领域
本发明涉及利用光射照进行信息记录的光记录媒体及该光记录媒体所用的光记录材料。
背景技术
光记录媒体通常是向记录层照射激光等的光,利用记录层的形状变化、磁畴变化、相变化等记录信息。这类光记录媒体有例如具备含偶氮色素等有机色素的记录层的追记型光记录媒体,作为CD-R(追记型袖珍光盘)和DVD±R(追记型DVD)广泛普及。
上述追记型光记录媒体中的CD-R通常是在具有导向槽的圆形基板上依次层叠由以色素为主要构成成分的记录层、以金属为主要成分的反射层、紫外线固化树脂等构成的保护层而形成的。DVD±R与CD-R同样层叠各层而且还在保护层上层叠粘接层及基板而形成。
信息的记录-再现原理如下更详细地进行说明。首先,向光记录媒体照射激光等并在照射的交差方向上以规定速度使之移动,当照射该光记录媒体的记录层时,记录层的色素成分吸收该照射光的能量并被加热。因此,激光等照射领域及其附近领域的记录层等因分解、蒸发、溶解等而引起热变形,形成凹坑(以上为记录原理)。在CD-R或DVD-R的情况下,上述激光等的移动以激光相对于这些光盘的线速度为规定速度的方式使光盘转动进行。
在再现信息时,当向具有因热的变形而形成的凹坑的记录层照射光时,在凹坑的部分和除凹坑以外的部分上,光的反射率产生差异。光检测器读取该反射率的差,通过变换为电信号的强弱而再现信息(以上为再现原理)。因此,如果不能在期望的部分形成凹坑,即,如果不能得到良好的记录特性,就难以精密度高且正确地再现信息。
对记录特性造成影响的因素之一可举出记录层所含有的色素材料的种类。目前,评价记录层是否含有赋予良好记录特性的色素材料的方法之一是检查记录层的构成材料的一种或两种以上的色素材料(以下称为“色素成分”)的热重量分析(TG)和/或差示热分析(DTA)(参照日本专利文献1~6)。而且还提出了记录层含有满足在这样的TG和/或DTA中规定的评价标准的色素材料的光记录媒体。
例如,日本专利文献2的目的是提供一种适合于波长为600~700nm的短波长记录的光记录媒体,并公开了一种光记录媒体,其特征是,记录层因波长600~700nm的激光而产生光学变化,在有机色素的热重量分析中,在主减量过程(减量为18%以上的过程)中减量对温度的斜率为2%/℃以上,在有机色素的热重量分析中,在主减量过程中的总减量为25%以上。
再者,日本专利文献4的目的是提供一种可以高密度记录的光记录媒体,并公开了一种记录层由主成分色素A和化合物B的混合物构成的光记录媒体,在热重量分析中,该主成分色素A满足如下条件,即,在主减量过程(减量为15%以上的过程)中减量对温度上升的斜率为0.5%/℃~3%/℃,且在主减量过程中的减量为总重量的40%~55%,或者,在主减量过程中的减量的斜率为3%/℃~20%/℃且在主减量过程中的减量为总重量的30%以上而小于50%;该化合物B满足如下条件,即,在主减量过程中的减量的斜率为10%/℃以上且在主减量过程中的减量为总重量的55%以上,或者,在主减量过程的减量的斜率小于10%/℃且在主减量过程中的减量为总重量的75%以上。
而且,日本专利文献5的目的是得到一种适用于短波长记录的高反射率的高容量光记录媒体,并公开了一种光记录媒体,该光记录媒体均满足如下的条件,即,记录层含有有机色素,在由有机色素构成的记录层上具有金属反射层,该有机色素在热分析中,在比主减量开始温度低的温度下实质上没有减量而且在主减量过程中的减量的斜率为2%/℃以上,其总减量%为30%以上;该有机色素在差示热分析中的发热峰大小为-10μV/mg以上、10μV/mg以下且峰宽度为20℃以下,或者,在差示热分析中的发热峰大小为10μV/mg以上、30μV/mg以下;该金属反射层,在室温附近的比电阻值的倒数为0.20/μΩcm以上、0.30/μΩcm以下,再现光±5nm的折射率为0.1以上、0.2以下,衰减系数为3以上5以下。

近年来,为了在光记录媒体上记录更大量的信息,要求记录层的凹坑高密度化,而且,为了缩短记录时间,要求记录信息时的线速度(记录速度)高速化。
但是,本发明人等详细研究以上述日本专利文献1~6所述的光记录媒体为代表的现有光记录媒体后,结果发现:即使在光记录媒体中使用满足这样的现有的评价标准的色素成分,在进行高速记录时,也难以确保充分的记录特性。即,发现:在记录层的构成材料中使用满足日本专利文献1~6所述的评价标准的色素成分且以更高速记录时,难以得到所期望的凹坑长,其结果是有颤动增加、差错率上升的倾向。而且判明:这样的倾向特别是在想得到凹坑间的间隔比较短的记录图案的情况下显著,在这样的记录图案连续的情况下,即,在进行高密度记录的情况下,特别明显。
发明内容
因此,本发明就是鉴于上述问题点而完成的,其目的是提供一种在高速记录时显示出充分优异的记录特性的光记录媒体及这样的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料。
本发明人等为了达到上述目的而专心研究,结果发现:记录层中所使用的色素成分的热履历若是与作为现有赋予媒体优异的记录特性的色素成分所显示的热履历而已知的热履历所不同的特定热履历,则使用该色素成分的光记录媒体显示出充分优异的记录特性,从而完成了本发明。
即,本发明的光记录材料是利用光的照射可以记录信息的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料,其特征在于,上述光记录媒体是以14m/秒以上的线速度记录信息的光记录媒体,光记录材料中所含有的色素成分含有1种以上的偶氮化合物与金属的螯合化合物,色素成分是,在将该色素成分作为试样、在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,在180~250℃时的上述试样的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。
再者,本发明的光记录媒体,是利用光的照射以14m/秒以上的线速度可以记录信息的光记录媒体,其特征在于,该光记录媒体所具有的记录层将含有1种以上的偶氮化合物和金属的螯合化合物的色素成分作为构成材料,色素成分是,在将该色素成分作为试样、在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,在180~250℃时的上述试样的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。
在本发明中,所谓“质量减少率”是指在通过在一定的升温程序下所进行的热重量分析(thermogravimetry;TG)而得到的曲线(以下称为“TG曲线”)中、某温度时的平均质量减少率的极限值。对此,参照图1详细地说明。这里,上下左右等位置关系如无特殊声明,以图1所示的位置关系为准。
图1是表示TG曲线及质量减少率的温度依存性的图。横轴表示试样的周围温度。纵轴的左侧表示将分析开始时作为100%时的试样质量(%),右侧表示质量减少率(%/℃)。在本发明的TG中,因为使试样周围的温度上升的同时,测定试样的质量变化,所以在图1所示的图中,随着时间的推移,从左侧向右侧移动。将该TG曲线表示为函数y=f(x)。这里,y为质量(%),x为试样周围的温度(℃)。
首先,在TG中,通常认为:当使作为试样的色素成分的周围温度上升时,因色素成分的分解等,试样的质量变化(质量减少)。例如,当使试样周围的温度从某温度a℃只上升微少量h℃而为(a+h)℃时,这时的质量变化为(f(a+h)-f(a))%,其质量变化为正的情况下,质量减少为-(f(a+h)-f(a))%;质量变化为负的情况下,质量减少为(f(a+h)-f(a))%。因此,质量变化为正的情况下,a℃时的平均质量减少率为-(f(a+h)-f(a))/h(单位:%/℃);质量变化为负的情况下,a℃时的平均质量减少率为(f(a+h)-f(a))/h(单位:%/℃)。而且,这时的微少量h接近0时的平均质量减少率的极限值为本发明的质量减少率(单位:%/℃),当质量变化为正的情况下,可表示为数学函数-f’(a);当质量变化为负的情况下,可表示为数学函数f’(a)。在图1的情况下,因为质量变化为负,所以质量减少率为f’(a)。某温度a℃的该质量减少率,通常在TG曲线的a℃的切线的斜率显示为负值。如以上说明的那样,质量减少率可由TG曲线算出。
本发明的光记录材料可以形成显示出优异的记录特性的光记录媒体的主要原因现在并不清楚,但本发明人等认为其主要原因之一如下。但是,主要原因并不限定于此。
目前,作为用于得到记录特性优异的光记录媒体的记录层的色素成分而言,如日本专利文献1~6所公开的那样,在TG中,一般说来,随着温度的上升质量急剧减少的色素成分是良好的。显示出这样热履历的色素成分,因为发生其质量减少的温度比较高,所以需要照射具有高能量的激光以形成凹坑。例如在记录速度为2倍速即线速度为7m/秒以下的低速度的情况下,即使照射这样高能量的激光,也难以产生有关记录特性的课题。
但是,本发明人等认为:当向记录凹坑间的间隔短的记录图案的部分照射高能量的激光时,记录速度越高,因激光照射而产生的热越容易传导到邻接的凹坑,凹坑间的热干涉有频繁发生的倾向。于是,推测:当以4倍速以上即线速度为14m/秒以上的高速记录信息时,这样的凹坑间的热干涉引起颤动增加、差错率上升。
另一方面,本发明的光记录材料的色素成分,在TG中,伴随着温度上升的质量减少,在比较低的温度下即规定的温度范围内小。因为这样的色素成分不需要那么提高形成急剧的凹坑所用激光的能量,所以认为,即使在高速记录时也难以产生上述那样的凹坑间的热干涉。起因于此,当本发明的光记录材料具有含有显示出这样热履历的色素成分的记录层时,无论记录速度的高低,都可以提供具有充分优异记录特性的光记录媒体。
本发明的光记录材料,在上述TG中、在180~250℃时的上述质量减少率优选为0.2~3.0%/℃的范围内。使用这样光记录材料的光记录媒体的记录特性更进一步优异。
当上述偶氮化合物含有用下述通式(1)表示的偶氮化合物时,可以更进一步提高本发明的光记录材料的记录特性或光稳定性,所以是优选的。

这里,式(1)中,Q1表示分别与氮原子及结合于该氮原子的碳原子各自结合而形成杂环或含有该杂环的缩合环的二价残基,Q2表示分别与相互结合的2个碳原子各自结合而形成缩合环的二价残基,X1表示具有一个以上的活性氢原子的官能基。
再者,上述色素成分更优选含有菁色素,当该菁色素具有用下述通式(2)或(3)表示的基时,则更优选。

此处,在式(2)、(3)中,Q3表示可以具有取代基的苯环或可以具有取代基的萘环,R1及R2分别独立地表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、苯基或可以具有取代基的苄基、或相互连接而形成3~6元环的基,R3表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、烷氧基、苯基或可以具有取代基的苄基,上述R1、R2及R3所示的基也可以具有取代基。
本发明的光记录媒体更优选为将以上说明的光记录材料作为记录层的构成成分。
发明的效果
根据本发明,可以提供在高速记录时显示出充分优异的记录特性的光记录媒体及这样的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料。

具体实施方式
以下,根据需要,参照附图,同时详细地说明本发明优选的实施方式。另外,在附图中,对同一要素标记同一符号,省略重复说明。再者,上下左右的位置关系没有特别声明,以附图所示的位置关系为准。而且,附图的尺寸比率并不限于图示的比率。
首先,说明本发明的优选实施方式的光记录材料。本实施方式的光记录材料具有含有1种以上的偶氮化合物的色素成分,将该色素成分作为试样并在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,该色素成分在180~250℃的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。对于在记录层含有这类色素成分,虽然将利用公知的方法合成或调制色素成分而得到的色素材料或已知存在(市售)的色素材料单独作为色素成分,但是需要将含有多种色素材料的色素成分利用热重量分析(以下根据需要称为“TG”)法反复进行分析-测定处理而得到满足上述质量减少率条件的色素成分。
这类色素成分具有上述质量减少率,只要是含有1种以上的偶氮化合物与金属的螯合化合物的色素成分,除此之外的色素材料的种类或各色素材料的含有比率等没有特别限定,既可以单独使用上述螯合化合物,也可以组合使用两种以上不同的上述螯合化合物,也可以将不同于上述螯合化合物的色素材料添加到该螯合化合物中使用之。
上述偶氮化合物只要是含有用-N=N-表示的官能基的化合物就没有特别限定,例如可举出芳香族环结合在上述两个氮原子上的偶氮化合物,更具体地可例示用上述通式(1)表示的偶氮化合物。式(1)中,Q1表示分别与氮原子及结合于该氮原子的碳原子各自结合而形成杂环或含有该杂环的缩合环的二价残基,Q2表示分别与相互结合的2个碳原子结合而形成缩合环的二价残基。
X1表示具有1个以上的活性氢原子的官能基,例如可举出羟基(-OH)、硫醇基(-SH)、氨基(-NH2)、羧基(-COOH)、酰胺基(-CONH2)、磺胺基(-SO2NH2)、磺基(-SO3H)、-NSO2CF3等。
就这类偶氮化合物而言,例如可举出用下述通式(4)~(7)表示的化合物。
这里,式(4)中,R7及R8既可以相同也可以不同,分别独立地表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基;R9及R10既可以相同也可以不同,分别独立地表示腈基或羧酸酯基,X1与上述同义。另外,就上述羧酸酯基而言,优选为-COOCH3、-COOC2H5或-COOC3H7
这里,式(5)中,R11表示氢原子或碳原子数为1~3的烷氧基;R12、R7及R8既可以相互相同也可以相互不同,分别独立地表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基,X1与上述同义。

再者,就构成上述螯合化合物的金属(中心金属)而言,可举出钛(Ti)、钒(V)、铬(Cr)、锰(Mn)、铁(Fe)、钴(Co)、镍(Ni)、铜(Cu)、锆(Zr)、铌(Nb)、钼(Mo)、钌(Ru)、铑(Rh)、钯(Pd)、银(Ag)、镉(Cd)、铟(In)、锡(Sn)、锑(Sb)、钨(W)、铼(Re)、锇(Os)、铱(Ir)、铂(Pt)、金(Au)等。或V、Mo、W它们的氧化物离子,也可以为VO2+、VO3+、MoO2+、MoO3+、WO3+等。
就上述螯合化合物而言,例如可举出用下述通式(8)、(9)、(10)表示的化合物、下述表1~6所示的化合物(No.A1~A49)等。这些螯合化合物可单独使用或组合使用。另外,关于No.A1~A49所示的螯合化合物对1个中心金属的元素配位2个偶氮化合物。另外,分别出现两种偶氮化合物及中心金属的螯合化合物表示以1∶1的摩尔比含有它们,用[V=O]表示中心金属,使偶氮化合物配位于乙酰丙酮钒。

其中优选为用A13~A31表示的螯合化合物。或可以是具有从用化合物A49表示的分子中除去硝基及二乙基氨基的构造的化合物。
另外,根据X1的种类,该X1所具有的活性氢在解离的状态下也可以形成螯合化合物。
上述色素成分中可以含有上述螯合化合物作为阴离子存在时的平衡阳离子(对阳离子)或上述螯合化合物作为阳离子存在时的平衡阴离子(对阴离子)。就平衡阳离子而言,优选使用Na+、Li+、K+等碱金属离子、铵离子等。再者,可以将后述的菁色素作为平衡阳离子成盐。就平衡阴离子而言,优选使用PF6 -、I-、BF4 -、用下述式(11)表示的阴离子。

这样的螯合化合物可依据公知的方法合成(例如参照“古川、Anal.Chem.Acta.,140,289(1982)”)。
就色素成分所含有的色素材料中除上述螯合化合物以外的色素材料而言,既可以是公知的色素材料也可以是利用公知的方法或依据公知的方法可以合成的色素材料,没有特别限定,可举出菁色素、Squarylium色素、Croconium色素、Azulenium色素、氧杂蒽色素、份菁色素、三芳基胺色素、蒽醌醇色素、靛苯胺金属配位化合物色素、偶氮甲碱色素、Oxonol色素和分子间型CT色素等。其中优选为菁色素,更进一步优选为具有用上述通式(2)或(3)表示的基的菁色素。另外,在式(2)、(3)中,Q3表示构成可以具有取代基的苯环或可以具有取代基的萘环的原子群,R1及R2分别独立地表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、苯基或具有取代基的苄基、或相互连接并形成3~6元环的基,R3表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、烷氧基、苯基或可以具有取代基的苄基,上述R1、R2及R3所示的基也可以具有取代基。
就这样的菁色素而言,可举出用下述通式(12)表示的菁色素等。

当测定上述色素成分的质量减少率时,热重量分析所使用的装置没有特别限定,可以采用目前公知的装置。试样(色素成分)量,只要是在装置的允许范围内可以测定试样的质量减少的程度就没有特别限定。再者,就在环境中的不活性气体而言,例如可使用氮气或Ar、He、Ne等稀有气体。不活性气体的流量,只要是从试样周围可快速清除因试样分解等而产生的气体的程度就没有特别限定。
为了得到本实施方式的色素成分,TG通过使试样周围的温度慢慢上升进行,就其升温程度而言,优选为单位时间以一定比率升温。这时的升温速度(℃/分)没有特别限定,从测定稳定性的观点出发,优选为5~20℃/分左右。
图2(a)至图2(c)示意性地列示了表示上述TG的结果、由得到的TG曲线可算出的质量减少率中本发明所涉及的曲线,即在180~250℃的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃的质量减少率的温度依存性的曲线,图3(a)至图3(c)示意性地列示了不涉及本发明的曲线。当在180~250℃的质量减少率的极大值小于0.2%/℃时,因为形成凹坑所需要的激光能量有变高的倾向,所以有不稳定性增加、差错率频繁上升的倾向。当在180~250℃的质量减少率的极大值大于等于3.0%/℃时,因为伴随着质量减少(分解等)的发热量增加,所以有容易产生凹坑间的热干涉的倾向。
其中,如图2(b)所示,从可以形成更进一步显示出良好记录特性的光记录媒体的观点出发,优选为具有在180~250℃的质量减少率保持在0.2~3.0%/℃的热履历的色素成分。
再者,本实施方式的光记录材料所含有的色素成分更优选为在TG曲线中、在小于180℃的区域内没有质量减少率的极大值的色素成分。在小于180℃的区域内具有质量减少率的极大值的色素成分有可能引起再现恶化。
接着,说明本实施方式的光记录媒体。图5是表示本发明的光记录媒体的光记录光盘所优选的一实施方式的部分剖面图。图5所示的光记录光盘1具有在基板2上依次紧密贴合记录层3、反射层4、保护层5、基板6而设计的层叠构造。光记录光盘1是追记型光记录光盘,利用630~685nm的短波长的光可以记录、再现。
基板2及基板6是直径为64~200mm左右、厚度各为0.6mm左右的光盘状的基板。从基板2的背面侧(基板6的一侧)可以进行记录及再现。因此,实质上至少基板2优选为对记录光及再现光是透明的,更具体地,对基板2的记录光及再现光的透过率优选为88%以上。就这样的基板2的材料而言,优选为透过率满足上述条件的树脂或玻璃,其中,特别优选为聚碳酸酯树脂、丙烯酸酯树脂、非晶态聚乙烯、TPX、聚苯乙烯系树脂等热可塑性树脂。另一方面,基板6的材料没有特别限制,例如可使用与基板2相同的材料。
再者,在基板2的记录层3的形成面上形成跟踪用的槽23作为凹部。槽23优选为螺旋状的连续型槽,优选为:其深度为0.1~0.25μm、宽为0.20~0.50μm、槽节距为0.6~1.0μm。通过使槽为这样的构成,不仅不会降低槽的反射水平而且可得到良好的跟踪信号。使用上述树脂通过射出成形等在成形基板2的同时可形成槽23,在制造基板2后,利用2P法等形成具有槽23的树脂层,可作为基板2和该树脂层的复合基板。
记录层3是使用上述本实施方式的光记录材料而形成的层。记录层3通过将使上述本发明的光记录材料溶解或分散到溶剂中的混合液涂敷在基板2上、从涂膜中除去溶剂等而可以形成。就混合液的溶剂而言,可举出醇系溶剂(包括酮醇系、乙二醇单烷基醚等烷氧基醇系)、脂肪族烃系溶剂、酮系溶剂、酯系溶剂、醚系溶剂、芳香族系溶剂、卤化烷基系溶剂等,其中优选为醇系溶剂及脂肪族烃系溶剂。
就醇系溶剂而言,优选为烷氧基醇系、酮醇系等。烷氧基醇系溶剂优选为:烷氧基部分的碳原子数优选为1~4,且醇部分的碳原子数为1~5、更优选为2~5,总碳原子数优选为3~7。具体地可举出乙二醇单甲基醚(甲基溶纤剂)或乙二醇单乙基醚(也称为乙基溶纤剂、乙氧基乙醇)或丁基溶纤剂、2-异丙氧基-1-乙醇等乙二醇单烷基醚(溶纤剂)系或1-甲氧基-2-丙醇、1-甲氧基-2-丁醇、3-甲氧基-1-丁醇、4-甲氧基-1-丁醇、1-乙氧基-2-丙醇等。就酮醇系而言,可举出二乙酰醇等。而且也可使用2,2,3,3-四氟丙醇等氟代醇。
就脂肪族烃系溶剂而言,优选为正己烷、环己烷、甲基环己烷、乙基环己烷、环辛烷、二甲基环己烷、正辛烷、异丙基环己烷、叔丁基环己烷等,其中优选为乙基环己烷、二甲基环己烷等。
再者,就酮系溶剂而言,可举出环己酮。
在本实施方式中,特别优选为乙二醇单烷基醚系等烷氧基醇系,其中优选为乙二醇单乙基醚、1-甲氧基-2-丙醇、1-甲氧基-2-丁醇等。溶剂可单独使用一种,也可以使用两种以上的混合溶剂。例如优选使用乙二醇单乙基醚和1-甲氧基-2-丁醇的混合溶剂。
再者,混合液除上述成分以外还可适当含有粘合剂、分散剂、稳定剂等。
就混合液的涂敷方法而言,可举出旋涂法、凹版涂敷法、喷镀法、浸涂法等,其中优选为旋涂法。
这样形成的记录层3的厚度优选为50~300nm。当在该范围以外时,反射率降低,难以进行对应于DVD规格的再现。再者,位于槽23上部的记录层3的膜厚为100nm以上、特别是为130~300nm以上时,转调度变得极大。
相对于记录层3的记录光及再现光的衰减系数(复折射率的虚部k)优选为0~0.20。当衰减系数大于等于0.20时,有得不到充分的反射率的倾向。再者,记录层3的折射率(复折射率的实部n)优选为1.8以上。当折射率小于1.8时,信号的转调度有变小的倾向。另外,折射率的上限没有特别限制,但从方便合成有机色素上出发,通常为2.6左右。
根据以下的顺序可以求出记录层3的衰减系数及折射率。首先,在规定基板上设计记录层40~100nm左右并制作测定用样品,接着,通过测定通过该测定用样品的基板的反射率或来自记录层侧的反射率来求得。这时,反射率使用记录、再现光的波长并用镜面反射(5°左右)测定。而且,测定样品的透过率。然后,由这些测定值例如根据共立全书《光学》、石黑浩三、第168~178页所记载的方法可以算出衰减系数及折射率。
在记录层3上,反射层4紧密贴合记录层3设计。使用高反射率的金属或合金进行蒸镀、喷射等可以形成反射层4。就金属或合金而言,例如可举出金(Au)、铜(Cu)、铝(Al)、银(Ag)、AgCu等。这样形成的反射层4的厚度优选为10~300nm。
在反射层4上,保护层5紧密贴合反射层4设计。保护层5既可以为层状也可以为薄片状,例如将含有紫外线固化树脂等材料的涂敷液涂敷上反射层4上,根据需要,通过使涂膜干燥可以形成保护层5。在涂敷时,可适用旋涂法、凹版涂敷法、喷镀法、浸涂法等。这样形成的保护层5的厚度优选为0.5~100μm。
在保护层5上,基板6紧密贴合保护层5设计。基板6可以是与基板2相同的材质和厚度,既可以形成槽也可以不形成槽。另外,为了更进一步提高基板6及保护层5的粘接性,在保护层5上设计与后述的粘接剂层同样的粘接剂层,而且还可以在其上面设计基板6。
在具有上述构成的光记录光盘1上进行记录或追记时,从基板2的里面以照射为脉冲状照射具有规定波长的记录光,使照射部的光反射率变化。这时,利用设计含有本发明的色素成分的记录层3的光记录光盘1,即使在进行4倍速即14m/秒以上的线速度的高速记录的情况下,也可以充分抑制在凹坑间的间隔比较狭的高密度记录模式部分的不稳定性,可充分防止差错率的上升。
另外,在上述实施方式中,说明了具备一层记录层3作为记录层的光记录光盘,也可以设计多层记录层且各层含有不同的色素。由此,通过波长相同或不同的多种记录、再现光可以进行信息的记录、再现。
这样得到的光记录光盘1是,于将2枚光记录盘1彼此、或者将1枚光记录盘1与和光记录盘1层结构不同的另一枚光记录盘,使光入射面向外侧而贴合,从而可以使用。
图4是表示上述贴合状态的光记录光盘的优选的实施方式的部分剖面图。图4所示的光记录光盘10具有依次层叠基板12、记录层13、反射层14、保护层15、粘接剂层50、保护层25、反射层24、记录层23、基板22的构造。即,光记录光盘10具有使2张与图5所示的光记录光盘1同样构造的光记录光盘以各自的保护层相互之间以对向夹住粘接剂层50的方式贴合的构成。该光记录光盘10是对应于DVD规格的追记型数字影像带,用波长650nm的短波长的光进行记录、再现。
粘接剂层50使用热熔融粘接剂、紫外线固化型粘接剂、加热固化型粘接剂、粘接型粘接剂等,它们的涂敷方法例如可举出辊涂法、筛网印刷法、旋涂法等。在DVD±R的情况下,从作业性、生产性、光盘特性等综合判断,使用紫外线固化粘接剂,使用筛网印刷法或旋涂法。粘接剂层50的厚度优选为10~200μm左右。
基板12及22、记录层13及23、反射层14及24,保护层15及25用与图5所法的光记录光盘1同样的材料、方法形成。基板12及22的各自的厚度优选为0.6mm左右。在基板12的记录层13形成面及基板22的记录层24形成面上分别形成槽123及223。该槽123及223优选为:其深度为60~200nm、宽为0.2~0.5μm、槽节距为0.6~1.0μm。再者,记录层13及23的厚度分别优选为50~300nm,相对于该650nm的光的复折射率优选为n=1.8~2.6、k=0.02~0.20。
实施例
以下,通过实施例更详细地说明本发明,但本发明并不限定于这些实施例。
(色素成分的热重量分析)
通过常法合成用以下的S1~S9表示的色素材料。将得到的色素材料或混合这些色素材料中的两种而调制的色素成分作为试样并进行热重量分析。试样使用表13所示的试样No.1~9。另外,在表13的括号内分别以摩尔标准表示各色素材料的混合比率。

热重量分析(及差示热分析)装置使用SEIKO电子社制、使用TG/DTA22,采取2mg试样并装在试样固定器内,将参照试样装在参照固定器内,以流量300mL/分使He气体作为试样周围的环境气体开始流通到装置内后,在升温速度10℃/分的升温程序下,从室温开始升温,测定这时试样的质量变化。从得到的TG曲线算出的在180~250℃的质量减少率(%/℃)的极大值如表14所示。

根据该TG的结果及所使用的色素材料的种类,将试样No.1~5分别作为实施例1~5的色素成分,将试样No.6~9分别作为比较例1~4的色素成分。
(实施例1)
首先,准备一侧具有预槽(深度0.12μm、宽为0.30μm、槽节距为0.74μm。)的直径120mm、厚度0.6mm的聚碳酸酯树脂基板。另一方面,将由与试样No.1同样的构成材料构成的色素成分添加到2,2,3,3-四氟丙醇中,使其含量为1.0质量%,调制了记录层用涂敷液。在形成上述聚碳酸酯树脂基板的预槽的面上涂敷得到的涂敷液,在80℃下干燥1小时,形成记录层(厚度为150nm)。接着,利用溅射法在该记录层上形成Ag反射层(厚度为100nm),而且利用旋涂法在Ag反射层上涂敷紫外线固化树脂SD-1700(大日本油墨化学工业社制、商品名)后,照射紫外线,形成由丙烯酸树脂形成的透明保护层(厚度8μm)。而且还在保护层上涂敷紫外线固化树脂SD-301(大日本油墨化学工业社制、商品名)。接着,从其上面重叠与上述同样厚度为0.6mm的透明基板,高速转动除去多余的紫外线固化树脂。然后,隔着重叠的透明基板照射紫外线,使上述紫外线固化树脂固化并作为粘接层,通过该粘接层使保护层和透明基板贴合在一起,制作成实施例1的光记录媒体(光记录盘)。
(实施例2~5、比较例1~4)
作为色素成分,除了代替由与试样No.1同样的构成材料构成的色素成分而使用分别由与试样No.2~9同样的构成材料构成的色素成分以外,其它与实施例1同样,得到实施例2~5及比较例1~4的光记录媒体(光记录盘)。
(记录、再现特性的评价)
相对于实施例1~5及比较例1~4的光记录媒体,使用パルステツク工业社制光盘评价装置(商品名:DDU-1000),照射波长650nm的激光,以线速度28m/秒记录信号。另外,上述装置所具备的光头的透镜孔直径NA为0.60。再者,记录是在得到眼孔的中心位于14T波形的中心的眼孔图样那样的记录功率下进行的(参照表15)。记录后,测定PI(Inner-code-Parity)差错(每1ECC块的差错数)。再者,在10万勒克司的耐光试验器内设置各光记录媒体,在60℃下进行40小时的光照射试验(积算照度:4Mlux·小时),测定光照射试验后的PI差错。结果如表15所示。
另外,PI差错若在280以下,可满足DVD制品标准。此外,表中所谓“不可记录”意味着即使装置的记录功率在上限也不能记录。所谓“不能测定”意味着PI差错的数值太大超过了装置的测定界限。

根据记录、再现特性的评价结果,得知以下事实:使用了180~250℃的质量减少率(%/℃)的极大值在0.2~3.0%/℃的范围的色素成分的光记录媒体,即使是在高速记录也可充分抑制PI差错,得到非常良好的记录特性。通过比较实施例5和比较例4可知,含有偶氮化合物和金属的鳌合物的色素成分,可以进一步抑制光照射试验后记录特性的劣化。

Claims (10)

1.一种光记录材料,它是利用光的照射可以记录信息的光记录媒体中所使用的光记录材料,其特征在于:
所述光记录媒体是以14m/秒以上的线速度记录信息的光记录媒体,
所述光记录材料中所含的色素成分含有1种以上的偶氮化合物与金属的螯合化合物,
所述色素成分在将该色素成分作为试样在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,在180~250℃时的所述试样的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。
2.根据权利要求1所述的光记录材料,其特征在于:在所述热重量分析中,在180~250℃时的所述质量减少率在0.2~3.0%/℃的范围内。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的光记录材料,其特征在于:
所述偶氮化合物含有用下述通式(1)表示的偶氮化合物,
式中,Q1表示分别与氮原子及结合于该氮原子的碳原子各自结合而形成杂环或含有该杂环的缩合环的二价残基,Q2表示分别与相互结合的2个碳原子各自结合而形成缩合环的二价残基,X1表示具有1个以上的活性氢原子的官能基。
4.根据权利要求1~3中任一项所述的光记录材料,其特征在于:所述色素成分含有菁色素。
5.根据权利要求4所述的光记录材料,其特征在于:所述菁色素具有用下述通式(2)或(3)表示的基。

式中,Q3表示构成可以具有取代基的苯环或可以具有取代基的萘环的原子群,R1及R2分别独立地表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、苯基或具有取代基的苄基、或相互连接而形成3~6元环的基,R3表示碳原子数为1~4的烷基、环烷基、烷氧基、苯基或可以具有取代基的苄基,所述R1、R2及R3所示的基也可以具有取代基。
6.一种光记录媒体,它是利用光的照射可以以14m/秒以上的线速度记录信息的光记录媒体,其特征在于:
该光记录媒体中所具备的记录层,将含有1种以上的偶氮化合物与金属的螯合化合物的色素成分作为构成材料,
所述色素成分,在将该色素成分作为试样在不活性气体环境下进行热重量分析时,在180~250℃时的所述试样的质量减少率的极大值为0.2~3.0%/℃。
7.根据权利要求6所述的光记录媒体,其特征在于:在所述热重量分析中,在180~250℃时的所述质量减少率在0.2~3.0%/℃的范围内。
8.根据权利要求6或7所述的光记录媒体,其特征在于:所述偶氮化合物是含有用下述通式(1)表示的偶氮化合物,
式中,Q1表示分别与氮原子及结合于该氮原子的碳原子各自结合而形成杂环或含有该杂环的缩合环的二价残基,Q2表示分别与相互结合的2个碳原子各自结合而形成缩合环的二价残基,X1表示具有1个以上的活性氢原子的官能基。
9.根据权利要求6~8中任一项所述的光记录媒体,其特征在于:所述色素成分含有菁色素。
10.根据权利要求9所述的光记录媒体,其特征在于:
所述菁色素具有用下述通式(2)或(3)表示的基,
