技术领域
本发明一般涉及用于同轴电缆的连接器或更具体地涉及简化的同轴连接器和固定电缆到简化连接器的方法。
背景技术
当前在市场上的连接器由一定数量的活动零件组成,典型地为由内部接线端、外部接线端、绝缘件和活动后部螺帽的标准前端,而螺帽封装一定数量的密封件、保持环等等。在后部螺帽部分中大量活动件使同轴电缆的配合变得复杂并且通常需要多种专用工具。这也增加连接器发生故障的风险或者在安装中由于大量零件而产生的问题,这些零件可能有缺陷、丢失或者不正确地固定。
外部连接器必须彻底地清除可能在安装和上紧中阻碍零件封装在后部螺帽中(或者导致不良的电气连接)的胶水或黏结材料。这在实际操作中证实是十分困难的,并且肯定非常耗费时间。
1.由于封装在后部螺帽中的零件数量,当前连接器的制造和装配在花费的时间和材料成本方面也很昂贵,它们必须制造然后装配。
美国专利NO.6,133,532显示一种上面讨论类型的连接器,其中后部螺帽封装三个不同的活动件(锁紧装置,引导表面和内部套管)以及三个单独的O-形密封件。
发明内容
本发明目的是提供一种简单而有效的装置,可以牢固地使同轴电缆通过或者不通过波纹导体或非波纹导体连接到同轴连接器。
按照本发明的连接器可以由四个零件组成,远较当前连接器中的零件数量为少。后部螺帽由一个单独的管状件制成并且不包括任何其它零件。这意味着在连接同轴电缆到连接器时,只有一个零件需要调整与前端的关系,使其安装过程非常简单,容易在现场实施并且很难不正确地安装和装配。
减少零件数量也意味着只有与连接器接触的外部导体端部需要剥去胶水和黏结材料。这与以前导体所需要的面积相比要小得多。
安装连接器到电缆的过程也非常简单并且由下列步骤组成:
●从要求连接的电缆端部除去绝缘护套。
●从要求连接的电缆端部除去介电材料。
●将电缆通过后部螺帽***。
●从电缆的将与前端外部接线端接触的外部导体部分上清除黏结
  材料。
●电缆外部导体形成在后部螺帽的内部圆周上。
●外部导体的剥除端部放置在形成于外部接线端接触面和后部螺
  帽邻接面之间的空隙中。
●后部螺帽纵向地相对于前端移动,一直到外部导体的端部夹持在
  外部接线端和后部螺帽相应表面之间。
本发明还有目的是提供一种经济而有效的同轴电缆连接器。这是通过连接器的简单设计而获得,并且它仅包括有限数量的零件,因此要求制造的零件数量较少并且需要较少时间用于装配。

具体实施方式
图1阐明一种按照本发明实施例在其开放状态下的连接器,其中外部接线端4,绝缘件2和内部接线端1均牢固地互相固定,并且后部螺帽3可以旋转并且纵向地沿外部接线端4移动。
图2阐明一种按照本发明实施例其接近闭合状态下的连接器,其中装上电缆5并且与内部接线端1接触,而电缆剥除和清除的外部导体7处于外部接线端4和后部螺帽3之间的空隙中。在该实施例中,外部导体7已经利用专用工具扩口,该工具止住后部螺帽3从电缆5端部滑出,并且使外部导体7夹住在前端4和后部螺帽3之间,不过应该指出,只要外部导体7具有与外部接线端4和/或后部螺帽3牢固的传导接触,扩口不一定是必要的。也应该注意O-形圈6的存在。该O-形圈可保证水分不通过外部接线端4和后部螺帽3之间的连接进入并妨碍接触。
图3为外部接线端4和后部螺帽3之间连接的放大图,其中O-形圈未显示。在此可以看到,外部导体7的端部L已剥去护套和足够长度的介电材料,并且已经扩口以便保证其***由相应接触面8、9建立的空隙。该图显示外部导体的端部L如何夹住在后部螺帽3和外部接线端4之间,其中沿相应面8、9的接触保证良好的机械连接,并且也保证与外部接线端接触面8的电气连接。
电缆安装的较佳简化过程实施如下:剥去需要连接的电缆5端部护套和介电材料以便进行导电连接。电缆5通过后部螺帽3***而电缆外部导体扩口并且利用专用工具沿后部螺帽3内部圆周成型,同时挤出部分被清除胶水等物质。外部接线端4然后固定在后部螺帽3上并且一直旋入到机械阻挡为止。现在连接器和电缆已经固定。
在还有的实施例中,无论护套或介电材料均从需要连接的电缆端部上除去,只要在外部连接器7和外部接线端4之间具有足够的接触位置。电缆端部L通过后部螺帽3***。然后使用工具从介电件撬开外部导体7的端部L并且如以前所述地使其扩口。如此,将与外部接线端的接触面8接触的扩口端部L可以清除以便保证稳定的连接,而夹住在相应面8、9之间的扩口可以保证并且固定机械连接。
另外还有的实施例为以上两实施例的组合。在此,从电缆端部L除去足够长度的介电材料,而外部导体7的接触表面如以上所述地清理和扩口,此时后部螺帽3已经滑上端部L。后部螺帽3然后纵向地移动,使扩口的外部导体7和邻接的绝缘护套牢固地夹紧在外部接线端接触面8和紧接的后部螺帽面9之间。

Claims (8)

1.一种同轴电缆和同轴连接器的固定方法,包括下列步骤:
(a)电缆(5)的端部(L)通过后部螺帽(3)***。
(b)相应于外部接线端的接触面(8)和后部螺帽的紧邻面(9)形成外部导体的端部(L)。
(c)使前端(1、2、4)和后部螺帽(3)互相靠近,一直到端部(L)固定在相应面(8、9)之间并且上紧。
2.按照权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括清除至少外部导体(7)的所述端部(L)表面的步骤。
3.按照权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括从端部(L)除去足够长度绝缘护套的步骤。
4.按照权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括除去足够长度介电材料的步骤。
5.一种同轴连接器装置,包括前端(4)和在其电缆接受端上纵向可以移动的后部螺帽(3),其特征为,所述前端(4)和后部螺帽(3)包括相应面(8、9),当后部螺帽(3)处于其闭合位置时,使电缆(5)外部导体的端部(7)变成夹紧在形成于所述面(8、9)之间的空隙内。
6.按照权利要求3所述的连接器装置,其特征在于,所述机械连接是通过端部(7)在形成于所述面(8、9)之间的空隙内的所述夹紧而单独地建立。
7.按照权利要求3所述的连接器装置,其特征在于,电缆为波纹电缆。
8.按照权利要求3所述的连接器装置,其特征在于,电缆为非波纹电缆。
