Abstract
A cleaning appliance, such as a cylinder-type vacuum cleaner (7), comprises a main body (8) having a rear portion (17) and side wheels (12) arranged to allow the main body to travel across a floor surface (11). In normal use, the rear portion is spaced from the floor surface. The rear portion carries a wheel (23) arranged so that, if the main body is tilted so that the rear portion is brought towards the floor, the wheel contacts the floor surface. Thus, the cleaner may be used in a tipped-back position without causing damage to the floor surface as the cleaner is dragged along by the user by means of a hose attached to the main body. The size and position of the wheel is determined so that, when the cleaner is tipped back, the centre of gravity of the main body acts to return the main body to its righted position.
Description
The present invention relates to a kind of cleaning appliance, for example vacuum cleaner.
Majority of vacuum cleaners is not " tube " formula of " standing " formula.Cylinder appliances is called as pot type or cylinder dust catcher in some countries. The example of the cylinder vacuum cleaner of a Dai Sen company manufacturing is represented by Reference numeral 1 as shown in fig. 1 usually.
Typical cylinder vacuum cleaner 1 comprises a main body 2, and main body 2 comprises the separator 3 of cyclone separator for example or separation bag, is used for foul is separated from the visceral-qi stream that enters with dust.Visceral-qi stream enters main body 2 by inhaling hose 4 and rod assembly 5.Burnisher 6 links to each other with the far-end of flexible pipe and rod assembly 4,5.When the user is mobile in the room, by flexible pipe 4 in tow the main body 2 of dust catcher 1 move.
The problem that vacuum cleaner commonly used may run into is that in some cases, the main body of vacuum cleaner may be from the normal upright position overturning shown in Fig. 1.For example, when using dust catcher, if the user upwards draws flexible pipe, main body of dust collector may recede, and makes back body close to floor surface. If user's continuation at this sweptback position towing dust catcher, because the rear portion of dust catcher is pressed to the floor and dragged along the floor, therefore may make floor surface damage by flexible pipe. And the user who is in the dust catcher of the position that recedes may come to harm owing to the running of utensil.
The invention provides a kind of cleaning appliance, this cleaning appliance comprises a main body, wherein main body has rear portion and the device that is arranged to allow main body to move along floor surface, the rear portion is built on stilts during normal use, and has a wheel, if this wheel arrangement becomes main body to tilt, make the rear portion close to floor surface, then wheel contacts with floor surface.
Provide wheel to make that dust catcher can drag along floor surface, prevents that simultaneously the rear portion from scratching the floor when main body is in sweptback position at the rear portion.Thereby, prevent to damage floor surface.
Advantageously, wheel is arranged at the rear portion when being in when receding the position, and the center of gravity of main body makes main body return its normal upright position. This can realize by size, position and the outstanding situation of selecting wheel. This feature guarantees that main body can not rest on the position that the performance that makes separation equipment affects adversely.
