发明领域
本发明涉及含有有机溶剂且特别适用于洗涤硬表面如玻璃,陶瓷砖等的含水洗涤组合物。
发明背景
在文献中已经公开了许多种硬表面洗涤组合物,并有大量种类的洗涤组合物已经进行了商业销售。典型地,这些组合物含有表面活性剂,有机溶剂或溶剂体系和水,以及多种可由熟练配方技师选择的其他成分。
众所周知,需要在水基洗涤组合物中加入有机溶剂以获得满意的洗涤硬表面如玻璃的结果。合适的具有优异的洗涤功效的有机溶剂提高了含水洗涤组合物不留斑迹和残余物地从待洗涤硬表面祛除可能含有有机物质的泥土和污垢的能力。最近努力减轻挥发性有机化合物的使用的规章迫使洗涤工业寻求用于洗涤组合物的更有效的溶剂体系。
单独使用或与其它有机溶剂组合使用的多种二醇醚被认为是有效的用于含水洗涤组合物的溶剂成分。例如,美国专利3,882,038公开了含有如下式所示的某些二醇醚组合物的硬表面洗涤组合物:
                   RO(C2H4O)μH其中R为含有5到8个碳原子的烷基,μ值为1到6,优选为1到3,条件是当R含有5个碳原子时,μ值为1到4,当R含有6到8个碳原子时,μ值为3到6。其它公开了具有单独或与其它有机溶剂组合含有二醇醚的溶剂体系的洗涤组合物的专利包括美国专利3,463,735;4,540,505;4,749,509;4,863,629;4,983,317;5,437,807;5,538,664和5,750,482。发明概述
根据本发明,申请人发现了一种具体的乙二醇戊醚产品是一种有效的用于水基洗涤组合物的组分。更具体地,本发明涉及水基洗涤组合物,包含表面活性剂组分,水和有机溶剂组分,该有机溶剂组分包括含有至少大约90重量%(基于乙二醇戊醚产品的总重)单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物的正链或直链占主导的乙二醇戊醚产品。
发明详述
本发明的水基洗涤组合物包含a)表面活性剂组分,b)水和c)包括含有至少大约90重量%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚的乙二醇戊醚产品的溶剂组分。此具体的乙二醇戊醚产品在水基洗涤组合物中使用时具有独特的洗涤性质,迄今在本领域还未被认识。申请人发现的该特殊乙二醇戊醚产品当用于洗涤组合物时表现出出乎意料好的洗涤效率,同时也表现出其它有利的性质,例如高水溶性和低蒸汽压,其在特殊的水基硬表面洗涤组合物中,为含有至少大约90重量%(基于产品的总重)单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚的正链或直链占主导的乙二醇戊醚产品。特别地,发现用于本发明洗涤组合物的乙二醇戊醚产品的水溶性比预期的高,同时惊奇地发现随着其在水基洗涤组合物中浓度的上升,其洗涤能力持续增长。这种效果在已知的洗涤组合物溶剂,例如乙二醇丁醚或乙二醇己醚中未曾发现,后二者的洗涤效率随浓度上升迅速通过最大值后下降。本发明的乙二醇戊醚产品的这种有利的特性允许配方技师可以通过改变溶剂浓度调节本发明洗涤组合物的洗涤性能,并更容易地平衡洗涤性能和其它所需的性能。在本发明洗涤组合物中所用乙二醇戊醚产品中使用更多的正戊醚,除了改善洗涤效率外,也发现提供了其它益处,例如更好的气味特征。当乙二醇戊醚产品含有至少大约95重量%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物时,得到了特别好的结果。
含有至少大约90重量%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚的乙二醇戊醚产品可由已知的方法和技术制备。这些产品优选由含有至少大约90%的正戊醇的戊醇与环氧乙烷在碱性或酸性催化剂的存在下反应制备,直至得到所需分子量的产品。含有至少大约90%的正戊醇的戊醇可以直接利用美国专利3,527,809;4,283,562;4,593,011;4,762,817;4,769,498;5,113,022;5,180,854和5,364,950中公开的氧合技术(oxo technology)或通过精制含有大于10%异构体的戊醇产品制备。本发明水基洗涤组合物中使用的乙二醇戊醚产品含有少量,即低于10%的2-甲基丁醚异构体,但基本不含包括高毒性种类,例如3-甲基丁醚在内的异构体。
本发明水基洗涤组合物中乙二醇戊醚产品的用量依所存在的其它成分的种类和用量而改变。为得到洗涤效率与其它性质如浊点之间的最佳平衡,同时使所存在的挥发性有机化合物的总量最小化,所使用的乙二醇戊醚的用量可容易地由熟练配方技师决定。典型地,乙二醇戊醚产品的用量为大约0.05到大约10.0重量%(基于洗涤组合物的总重量)。在本发明的洗涤组合物中单独或与其他溶剂组合使用至多大约3.0重量%的单甘醇正戊醚产品将得到特别好的结果。
本发明水基洗涤组合物可以含有除乙二醇戊醚产品以外的其它有机溶剂。可用作共溶剂的合适的化合物已被熟知,并可从醇、二醇、二醇醚、二醇醚酯、酮、酯等中选择。这些化合物的非限定性例子包括乙醇、丙醇、异丙醇、丁醇、乙二醇、乙二醇***、乙二醇丙醚、乙二醇丁醚、乙二醇己醚、二甘醇***、二甘醇丁醚、丙二醇叔丁醚及其混合物。
本发明水基洗涤组合物所用的表面活性剂已被熟知,并包括阴离子、非离子和两性化合物。这些化合物的例子在美国专利5,780,482和5,437,807中公开,并引入本文作参考。本发明的洗涤组合物可使用多于一种的这些表面活性剂化合物的组合。典型地,本发明洗涤组合物中存在的表面活性剂的总量在大约0.01到大约5.0重量%的范围内(基于组合物的总重)。
本发明水基洗涤组合物可以包含任何这类组合物中熟知的并通常使用的组分。这些组分包括,例如,但不局限于,pH值改性剂、增稠剂、抗条纹剂(anti-streaking agent)、缓冲剂、助洗剂、螯合或多价螯合剂、水溶助长剂(hydrotope)、杀菌剂、着色剂和香料。这些组分的选择与使用可依据熟练配方技师的能力而定。
本发明水基洗涤组合物中水的用量取决于所存在的其它组分的种类与用量。典型地,这些组合物中水的用量范围为大约50到大约99重量%(基于组合物的总重量)。本发明中水的合适用量的选择以及组合不同组分制备本发明洗涤组合物的方式可依据熟练配方技师的能力而定。
实施例
制备了一系列含有表面活性剂组分、溶剂组分和水的硬表面洗涤组合物,并测定了它们的洗涤性能和浊点。所有测试组合物的表面活性剂组分均为Union carbide公司生产的0.5重量%TRITONX-100表面活性剂。所测试的组合物含有如表1所示的不同用量的溶剂组分。本发明的组合物中的溶剂组分为乙二醇戊醚(EGPE),其含有99重量%的乙二醇正戊醚。在表1中这些组合物与使用乙二醇丁醚(EGBE)和乙二醇己醚(EGHE)为溶剂组分的组合物进行比较。
表1中不同组合物的洗涤性能由欧洲专利申请506087中描述的方法测定。表1中不同组合物的浊点由测定温度转变的Mettler ToledoFP900体系(FP90中央处理器和FP81测量室)测定。对照标准为含有2.5重量%的乙二醇丁醚(Butyl CELLOSOLVE),0.5%TERGITOL非离子表面活性剂NP-9和水的洗涤组合物。

Claims (8)

1.一种含水洗涤组合物,包括:
(a)表面活性剂组分,
(b)包含含有至少大约90重量%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物的乙二醇戊醚的溶剂组分,和
(c)水。
2.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中所述的表面活性剂组分为阴离子、非离子和两性化合物或其混合物。
3.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中所述的乙二醇戊醚含有至少大约95%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物。
4.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中所述的乙二醇戊醚含有至少大约99%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物。
5.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中表面活性剂组分的用量基于组合物的总重量为大约0.01到大约5.0重量%。
6.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中所述的乙二醇戊醚的用量为大约0.05到大约10.0重量%。
7.权利要求1中所述组合物,其中所述的乙二醇戊醚含有至少大约90%的单甘醇正戊醚。
8.一种改善硬表面洗涤组合物洗涤性能的方法,包括向其中加入有效用量的含有至少大约90重量%的单甘醇、二甘醇或三甘醇正戊醚或其混合物的乙二醇戊醚。
