本发明涉及一种元件,该元件包括一由相对较硬材料制成的基体和一由相对较软材料制成的覆盖层,其中主表面区由一外周边限定,覆盖层的一边缘部分从该周边延伸并包括一加强件,该加强件由相对较硬的材料制成并与上述基体配合。
诸如车辆调整元件、控制元件以及用于起动电子开关的按钮之类的元件通常涂履一层触觉上令人舒适的材料,特别是类橡胶材料。如果不能或不想在包含相对较硬材料(特别是塑料)的元件基体与覆盖层材料之间形成紧密联接,那么覆盖层就需要机械固定到基体上。为此,基体和覆盖层可设计成确实(positively)互锁。但尽管如此,覆盖层还是会脱离或变形。
本发明提供一种前述种类的元件,其中由相对较软材料制成的覆盖层由基体可靠地固定,而不会脱离或变形。根据本发明的元件具有一由相对较硬材料制成的基体和一覆盖基体主表面区的由相对较软材料制成的覆盖层。基体具有一支承结构,该支承结构从周边延伸并相对于上述主表面区成一定角度,该覆盖层最好至少在部分支承结构上延伸。覆盖层的相应边缘部分包括一加强件,该加强件由相对较硬材料制成,并最好与基体确实配合,但也可以与之拧在一起。由于设置在边缘部分中的该加强件,可获得一个坚固的结构,允许牢固地固定到基体上。在优选实施例中,该加强件与基体锁定就位。当通常的制造方法(如注模制造几个塑料元件)不能在基体与覆盖层之间获得坚固的组合时,这种联接就特别有用。
在一优选实施例中,覆盖层还通过该加强件而在基体上保持一张紧状态,由此,确保了一个平滑的覆盖层表面。
本发明的其它特征和优点可从下面参照附图对一示例性实施例所作的描述中看出,其中仅有的附图是穿过本发明元件的一示例性实施例的剖面图。
现在参照该仅有的附图,该图中示出了呈按钮帽形式的元件,该按钮帽用于起动一电子开关,更特别用于一多功能方向盘。
该元件包括一由相对较硬的塑料材料制成的帽形基体10以及一由相对较软的类橡胶材料制成的覆盖层12。基体10具有一主表面区和成角度的侧边缘部分。覆盖层12覆盖基体10的主表面区,并延伸到其边缘部分之上。一由刚度较大材料制成的呈加强环14形式的加强件埋在覆盖层12的相应边缘部分中。至少一个由加强环14的一个锁紧边缘扣住的锁紧栓10a模制到该基体10上。另外,由基体10的一锁紧边缘扣住的锁紧栓14a模制到加强环14上。由于基体10与覆盖层12之间的锁紧联接,即使基体和覆盖层的材料没有形成一合成物,也能够确保部件之间的可靠联接。覆盖层12最好通过该锁紧联接而在基体10上保持张紧状态,从而使覆盖层12总是向使用者呈现出一个光滑表面。由于覆盖层12在基体10上的张紧状态,由于温度而引起的制造公差和波动也得到了补偿。

Claims (11)

1.一种元件,包括一由相对较硬材料制成的基体(10)和一由相对较软材料制成的覆盖层(12),所述覆盖层(12)至少覆盖着所述基体(10)的一主表面区,所述主表面区由一外周边限定,所述覆盖层(12)的一边缘部分从所述周边延伸并包括一加强件,该加强件由相对较硬材料制成并与所述基体(10)配合。
2.如权利要求1所述的元件,其特征在于,所述基体(10)具有一支承结构,该支承结构从所述主表面区的周边延伸,并相对于所述主表面区而成一角度。
3.如权利要求2所述的元件,其特征在于,所述覆盖层(12)至少在部分所述支承结构上延伸。
4.如权利要求1所述的元件,其特征在于,所述加强件锁紧到所述基体(10)上。
5.如权利要求1所述的元件,其特征在于,将所述加强件拧到所述基体(10)上。
6.如权利要求2至5所述的元件,其特征在于,所述加强件由一埋在所述覆盖层(12)的所述边缘部分中的加强环(14)形成。
7.如前述权利要求中的一项所述的元件,其特征在于,所述基体(10)和所述加强件包括相互配合的锁紧栓和锁紧边缘。
8.如前述权利要求中的一项所述的元件,其特征在于,所述覆盖层(12)由一种类橡胶材料制成。
9.如前述权利要求中的一项所述的元件,其特征在于,所述覆盖层(12)通过所述加强件而在所述基体(10)上保持张紧状态。
