Abstract

Description

在第一型输入流中***第二型数据的方法
本发明涉及一种服务器,它能从第一型输入流及第二型数据,生成一个显著携带该第二型数据的第一型输出流。更具体地讲,本发明涉及一种服务器,它能够从一个MPEG-2传送输入流及MPEG-4数据,生成一个显著携带该MPEG-4数据的MPEG-2传送输出流。
本发明又涉及一种数据处理方法,该方法可以从第一型输入传送流和第二型数据,生成一个显著携带该第二型数据的第一型输出传送流。
本发明还涉及包括这种服务器的广播***,及实现这种方法的计算机程序。
人们知道,在第一型传送流中可以传送第二型数据。例如,由国际标准化组织(ISO)在2000年一月出版的标准化文献ISO/IECJTC1/SC29/WG11/N3050中,对MPEG2***传送MPEG4数据的技术进行了描述,文章的标题是“信息技术一动画和音频的通用编码:处理***;修订版7:在ISO/IEC 13818-1型***上传送ISO/IEC 14496型数据。
本发明的目的之一是要提出一种产生输出传送流的便利途径。借助于开头一段所讲的服务器,这一目的得到实现。这种服务器具有下列装置:
-第一装置,通过在输入传送流中创建可用带宽,生成一个中间体传送流,
-第二装置,将所述的第二型数据***到中间体传送流的可用带宽,从而生成所述的输出传送流。
本发明的一个优点是避免了对输入流进行完全的多路分解,从而降低了达到功能性要求的计算成本。
本发明的一个重要的,特别适合MPEG-2/MPEG-4标准的应用例子中,输入传送流携带着控制信息,而服务器具有第三种处理装置,它与第二种装置传送数据流相反,是要修正控制信息以便将所述第二型数据考虑进去。
当传送流的比特率可以增加的时候,可通过在输入传送流中***空包的办法创建可用带宽,因此中间体传送流比起输入传送流来说,具有较高的比特率。
参考下面的说明和附图,本发明的这些方面和其他方面将会清楚明了,解释明白。
图1示意性地表示本发明的一个广播***;
图2表示服务器生成输出传送流所执行操作的工作原理图;
图3示意性地表示本发明第一实施方案中创建带宽的操作;
图4描述本发明第二实施方案中创建带宽的操作。
在整个说明书中,第一型传送流是指MPEG-2传送流,而第二型数据是指MPEG-4数据。但这并非是限制性的。
图1示意性地表示本发明的一个广播***。这一广播***包括服务器1,它能够从一个MPEG-2输入传送流Tsin以及MPEG-4数据M4,生成一个其中显著携带数据M4的MPEG-2输出传送流TSout。该广播***还包括终端设备2,其中包含一个多路分解单元21、一个MPEG-4引擎22、和一个MPEG-2音频/视频解码器23,用以恢复MPEG-2和MPEG-4数据供客户应用单元24使用。
依照MPEG-2标准,***信息是以PSI表的形式进行传输的(PSI是Program System Information(程序***信息)的缩写词),这些表构成了本发明的控制信息,它们的作用是指出流是如何组成的:可能是由一个或多个视频流元所组成,可能是由一个或多个音频流元所组成,也可能是由MPEG-4数据流所组成。在传送流中,所有的数据(MPEG-2视频数据、MPEG-2音频数据、以及MPEG-4数据)是交错在一起的。在接收端使用PSI表,用以重新组构节目。
图2以方块图表示服务器1为了生成输出传送流TSout所要执行的操作。依照图2,输入传送流TSin是交给带宽生成块B1来完成的。带宽生成块B1产生一个具有可用带宽的中间体传输流TSm。该中间体传输流TSm被交付给刷新块B2来完成,它的作用是刷新中间体传输流TSm中所携带的PSI表,以便将出现的M4数据考虑进去。刷新后,该中间体传输流TSm被交付给***块B3。***块B3也接收M4数据,它的作用是将数据M4***中间体传输流TSm的可用带宽之中。
应当注意MPEG-4数据可以包含音频和视频数据,但也可以包含景物描述和物体描述。在M4数据含有景物描述和物体描述的情况下,为了遵守MPEG-2标准的修订版7,M4数据必须通过一个同步层,而Flex/Mux层就是一个可选的同步层,然后才能交付给刷新块B2和***块B3。同步层的功能是提供有关MPEG-4流元的计时、同步、存储片和随机存取信息。而Flex/Mux层的功能是把来源于多路的MPEG-4流交错***MPEG-4数据。为了达到这种目标,服务器1可选性地包括一个同步块B4和一个Flex/Mux块B5对数据M4进行处理,然后将其交付给刷新块B2和***块B3。图2中B4和B5块用点线表示。
考虑MPEG-2传送流中出现的MPEG-4数据,必须修正PSI表,有关的方法在MPEG-2标准的修订版7中做了规定。
实践中,MPEG-2传送流是由MPEG-2传送包组成的。***块B3包括一个映射块B31和一个置换块B32。映射块B31的作用是将数据M4映射到各MPEG-2传输包当中。置换块B32的作用是用含有数据M4的传送包来置换中间体传送流TSm中的空(null)传送包。举例来说,由Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.提交的国际专利申请WO99/21337中,就描述了映射操作是如何完成的。
按照增加传输流比特率的能力,本发明提出了两种途径来生成可用带宽。
图3说明带宽生成块B1的第一种实施方案,此时有可能增加传送流的比特率。本例中,输入传送流TSin的比特率等于R,它包括MPEG-2视频传送包V、MPEG-2音频传送包A、和空传送包N。输入传送流TSin的每一个传送包之后都***了以斜线表示的两个空传送包N。本例中,所生成的中间体传送流TSm具有的比特率等于3R。图3中t轴表示时间。
图4表示带宽生成块B1的第二种实施方案,此时不可能增加传送流的比特率。本例中,带宽生成块B1包括一个多路分解块B11、一个代码转换块B12、以及一个多路重组块(remultiplexing block)B13。多路分解块B11接收输入传送流TSin,其功能是将输入传送流TSin中所携带的一个或多个视频流元进行多路分解。为达此目标,多路分解块B11包括一个视频包提取块B111和一个传送层清除块B112。其中B111的功能是从输入传送流TSin之中提取出相应于所讲的各个视频流元的传送包。而B112的功能是为了检索视频数据而对传送层执行清除操作。检索到的视频数据接着交给代码转换块B12,它的功能是将视频数据首先进行解码,接着又以较低的精度重新编码,以减小它们所占的带宽。进而将重新编码的视频数据交给多路重组块B13。多路重组块B13包括一个映射块B131和一个置换块B132。映射块B131的功能是将重新编码的视频数据映射到MPEG-2传送包之中。而置换块B132的功能是使用包含重新编码视频数据的传送包和空传送包N来置换所检索到的视频传送包。这一个例子中,置换块B132给出一个中间体传送流TSm,它的比特率等于输入传送流的比特率。
回到图2,应该注意到要***到MPEG-2传送流中的数据M4可以存储在当地的服务器1,但也可以譬如通过IP联结从另一个远处的服务器上进行传输。

Claims (7)

1.一种服务器,意于从由传送包组成的第一型输入传送流以及从第二型数据,生成一个显著携带所述第二型数据的第一型输出传送流,该服务器具有:
-带宽生成块,通过在所述输入传送流中创建可用带宽来生成中间传送流,可用带宽的创建通过向该输入传送流中***空包来实现,所以所述中间传送流具有比该输入传送流更高的比特率;
-***块,用于将所述的第二型数据***到所述中间传送流的可用带宽中,从而生成所述的输出传送流;
-刷新块,耦合在所述带宽生成块和所述***块之间,用于根据所述第二型数据刷新该中间传送流中携带的控制信息。
2.权利要求1的服务器,其中,所述第二型数据为MPEG-4的包含场景描述和对象描述的数据,而所述服务器具有一个MPEG-4的同步块和一个MPEG-4的交织块,用于在将MPEG-4的数据递送给所述***块之前处理该MPEG-4的数据。
3.权利要求2的服务器,其中,所述刷新块接收由所述MPEG-4的同步块和MPEG-4的交织块送来的数据。
4.一种广播***,至少包括如权利要求1到3之一的服务器,以及客户终端,该客户终端意于接收该传送流所携带的数据,以便在客户应用程序中使用。
5.一种从第一型的输入传送流和第二型数据  生成明显携带所述第二型数据的第一型输出传送流的方法,所述方法包括如下步骤:
-第一步骤,通过在所述输入传送流中创建可用带宽来生成中间传送流,可用带宽的创建通过向该输入传送流中***空包来实现,所以所述中间传送流具有比该输入传送流更高的比特率;
-第二步骤,根据所述第二型数据更新该中间传送流中携带的控制信息;
-第三步骤,将所述第二型数据***到所述中间传送流的可用带宽中,从而生成所述输出传送流。
6.权利要求5的方法,其中,所说的第二型数据是MPEG-4的包含场景描述和对象描述的数据,而所述服务器具备MPEG-4的同步步骤和MPEG-4的交织步骤,用于在将所述MPEG-4的数据递送给所述***块之前处理所述MPEG-4的数据。
7.权利要求6的方法,其中,通过处理由MPEG-4的同步步骤和MPEG-4的交织步骤送来的数据来执行所述第二步骤。
