A drum unit for mounting in an image forming apparatus, the drum unit comprising: a drum housing; a photosensitive drum rotatably provided in the drum housing for forming an electrostatic latent image developable by a developer on a surface thereof; a cleaning scraper fixedly arranged in the drum shell and contacted with the photosensitive drum for removing waste developer on the surface of the photosensitive drum, wherein a waste developer bin capable of containing the waste developer is formed between the cleaning scraper and the drum shell; a sealing member for sealing between the photosensitive drum and the drum housing to prevent leakage of the waste developer, an opening communicating with the waste developer hopper being formed between the sealing member and the cleaning blade; an electrical contact for receiving power from the imaging device; the drum unit is provided with a conductive member connected to the electrical contact member; the conductive member is located on at least one of both sides of the opening in a direction non-parallel to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum.

As shown in fig. 1 to 6, the process cartridge 100 includes a drum unit 10, a developing unit 20, a first side cover 30, and a second side cover 40, and the drum unit 10 and the developing unit 20 are coupled to each other.
As shown in fig. 3, the developing unit 20 includes a developing housing, which further includes a bottom case 21 and a face cover 23, a developer cartridge 24 for containing developer is formed between the face cover 23 and the bottom case 21, and a developing roller 22 rotatably provided in the developing housing, the developing roller 22 for carrying the developer and supplying the developer to the drum unit 10.

The drum unit 10 is further provided with a seal member 15 for preventing leakage of the waste developer 17, the seal member 15 sealing between the photosensitive drum 11 and the drum housing 11, one end of the seal member 15 being mounted on the drum housing 11, the other end of the seal member 15 being for contact with the photosensitive drum 12, the seal member 15 having an opening 16 between the seal member 15 and the blade 132, the opening 16 communicating with the waste developer tank 14, the waste developer 17 entering the waste developer tank 14 through the opening 16, the seal member 15 being typically provided as a plastic sheet.
As shown in fig. 1 and 6, the drum housing 11 and the developing housing may be collectively referred to as a process cartridge housing in which the photosensitive drum 12 and the developing roller 22 are rotatably provided, and the first side cover 30 and the second side cover 40 are respectively located at both ends of the process cartridge housing, the rotation axis M of the photosensitive drum 12 and the rotation axis of the developing roller 22 being parallel to each other; as shown in fig. 1 and 6, the process cartridge 100 further includes at least one electrical contact 60, the electrical contact 60 being at least for electrically connecting the photosensitive drum 12 with the image forming apparatus, at least a portion of the electrical contact 60 being disposed at one end of the cartridge housing; as shown in fig. 7, the electrical contact 60 includes at least a first end 61 and a second end 62 connected to each other, the first end 61 being optionally used for electrical connection with an image forming apparatus, the second end 62 being electrically connected with a conductive member 83 described below, and the process cartridge 100 being optionally further provided with a handle 70 for taking and placing.
The direction parallel to the rotation axis M of the photosensitive drum 12 is the left-right direction, the gravity direction of the process cartridge 100 is the downward direction, the direction opposite to the downward direction is the upward direction, the up-down direction intersects the left-right direction, the direction intersecting the up-down direction, the left-right direction is the front-back direction, and preferably, the up-down direction, the left-right direction, the front-back direction are mutually perpendicular, based on the posture of the process cartridge 100 in fig. 1; in the front-rear direction, the photosensitive drum 12 and the handle 70 are located at the front end and the rear end of the process cartridge 100, respectively, the drum housing 11 and the developing housing are arranged in the up-down direction, and the drum housing 11 is located above the developing housing.
The process cartridge 100 is detachably mounted in the image forming apparatus, as shown in fig. 4, when the process cartridge 100 is used for image formation, the photosensitive drum rotates about the rotation direction K, the photosensitive drum 12 is charged by at least one of the conductive member 83, the cleaning blade 13, and the sealing member 15 through the electric contact member 60, and in some embodiments, the photosensitive drum 12 is negatively charged, and the developer can also be negatively charged; in some embodiments, the photoreceptor drum 12 may also be positively charged, as may the developer.

As shown in fig. 5, 6 and 7, the drum unit 10 is further provided therein with a conductive member 83, one end of the conductive member 83 being electrically connected to the electric contact 60, alternatively, the conductive member 83 being electrically connected to the second end 62 of the electric contact 60, the other end of the conductive member 83 being electrically connected to the wiper 132 or the blade holder 131, or the other end of the conductive member 83 being provided as a part of the wiper 132 or the blade holder 131; when the conductive member 83 is provided on the blade 132, the action of charging the photosensitive drum 12 by the conductive member 83 is thus provided simultaneously with the action of cleaning the waste developer 17 by the blade 132, and at this time, the blade 132 has conductivity, alternatively, the blade holder 131 may not necessarily be made of a conductive material; when the conductive member 83 is electrically connected to the blade holder 131, both the blade 132 and the blade holder 131 have conductivity.
When the conductive member 83 is directly connected to the wiper 132 or the conductive member 83 is provided on the wiper 132, loss during power transmission can be reduced.
The material and shape of the conductive member 83 should not be limited as long as the conductive member 83 can transmit electric power from the electric contact 60 to the cleaning blade 13, or the conductive member 83 can transmit electric power from the electric contact 60 directly to the photosensitive drum 12, and preferably, the conductive member 83 is provided as a conductive metal sheet.
As shown in fig. 5 and 7, the blade 132 is provided as a conductive rubber strip, and when the conductive member 83 is provided on the blade holder 131, the electric power of the image forming apparatus is transmitted to the photosensitive drum 12 through the electric contact member 60, the conductive member 83, the blade holder 131, and the blade 132; alternatively, as shown in fig. 5, the conductive member 83 is located in the middle of the blade holder 131 in the front-rear direction and extends in the left-right direction, in other words, in the left-right direction, the conductive member 83 makes more point/surface contact with the blade holder 131 as much as possible, so that the resistance of the conductive member 83 is set smaller, and the charging of the photosensitive drum 12 can be more sufficient; when the conductive member 83 is provided on the wiper 132, the conductive member 83 may also make as much point/surface contact with the wiper 132 as possible.
As shown in fig. 5 and 7, the cleaning blade 13 further includes a mounting portion 133, and the conductive member 83 and the blade holder 131 can be fixed together to the drum housing 11 by the mounting portion 133, so that the cleaning blade 13 provided can reduce the mounting steps and also ensure stable mounting of the conductive member 83.

As shown in fig. 2 and 4, during image formation, the developer is transferred from the surface of the photosensitive drum 12 to the surface of the image forming medium by the electric field force formed between the photosensitive drum 12 and the transfer roller in the image forming apparatus, but a part of the untransferred developer, i.e., the waste developer 17, remains on the surface of the photosensitive drum 12.
As shown in fig. 8, 9, 10 and 11, in the present embodiment, one end of the conductive member 83 is electrically connected to the electric contact 60/the first end 61, the other end of the conductive member 83 is electrically connected to the sealing member 15, and optionally, the conductive member 83 is connected to the electric contact 60 at the first end 61; the conductive member 83 and the cleaning blade 13 are located upstream and downstream of the opening, respectively, in the rotational direction of the photosensitive drum 12; as shown in fig. 4, the conductive member 83 is located on the front side of the opening 16 in the front-rear direction, so that the charging operation of the conductive member 83 to the photosensitive drum 12 is performed separately from the cleaning operation of the blade 132 to remove the waste developer 17, the charging operation of the conductive member 83 to the photosensitive drum 12 is performed first, and the cleaning operation of the blade 132 to remove the waste developer 17 is performed later; an electric field force F is formed between the photosensitive drum 12 and the waste developer 17, under which force F the waste developer 17 enters the waste developer hopper 14 through the opening 16, and then the surface of the photosensitive drum 12 is cleaned once more by the cleaning blade 13, so that the photosensitive drum 12 can be cleaned more thoroughly.
In the present embodiment, the electric power of the image forming apparatus is transmitted to the photosensitive drum 12 through the electric contact connecting portion 60, the conductive member 83, the sealing member 15; the sealing member 15 is made of a conductive material and has conductivity.

A cleaning scraper fixedly arranged in the drum shell and contacted with the photosensitive drum for removing waste developer on the surface of the photosensitive drum, wherein a waste developer bin capable of containing the waste developer is formed between the cleaning scraper and the drum shell;
a sealing member for sealing between the photosensitive drum and the drum housing to prevent leakage of the waste developer, an opening communicating with the waste developer hopper being formed between the sealing member and the cleaning blade;
An electrical contact for receiving power from the imaging device;
the drum unit is provided with a conductive member connected with the electric contact member; the conductive member is located on at least one of both sides of the opening in a direction non-parallel to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum.

7. Drum unit according to claim 6, wherein the conductive element is integrally formed with the sealing element.
8. A drum unit according to claim 7, wherein the conductive member and the cleaning blade are located upstream and downstream of the opening, respectively, in a rotational direction of the photosensitive drum.
9. Drum unit according to any one of claims 1-8, wherein the conductive member is provided as a conductive rubber or conductive metal member.
10. A process cartridge detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus, comprising a developing unit and the drum unit according to any one of claims 1 to 9, the developing unit and the drum unit being connected to each other, the developing unit being for accommodating a developer.
