Description

Key and keyboard
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a key and a keyboard, and more particularly, to a key and a keyboard using a base to clamp a hole edge of a thin film circuit board.
Background
In the current use habit of personal computers, a keyboard is one of the indispensable input devices for inputting characters, symbols or numbers. Moreover, in order to operate consumer electronic products and large processing equipment used in the industry, which are in contact with daily life, a key structure is required to be provided as an input device for operating the electronic products and the processing equipment.
In general, a keyboard uses a thin film circuit board (membrane) for triggering key signals, wherein the thin film circuit board is composed of an upper circuit film, an insulating film and a lower circuit film. In short, the user only needs to press the keys on the keyboard, and the corresponding contact points on the upper circuit membrane can be conducted with the corresponding contact points on the lower circuit membrane through the holes on the insulating membrane, so that corresponding key signals are generated.
In practical applications, the positions of the supporting mechanisms (such as the supporting mechanisms of the scissors pins) corresponding to the respective keys on the thin film circuit board generally need to form corresponding broken holes, so that the connecting structures on the base can pass through the broken holes to be connected to the supporting mechanisms. However, in this design, if a user inadvertently splashes liquid (such as water, beverage, etc.) onto the keyboard during use of the keyboard, the liquid flows into the membrane gap of the thin film circuit board through the perforated edge of the thin film circuit board, thereby causing short circuit damage.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is directed to a key and a keyboard, which uses a base to clamp the edge of a hole of a thin film circuit board, so as to solve the above-mentioned problems.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a key comprising:
a key cap;
the bottom plate is provided with a first broken hole;
the base is fixed on the first broken hole in a hot melt molding or embedded injection molding mode;
the thin film circuit board is provided with a second broken hole corresponding to the first broken hole, the second broken hole is provided with a broken hole edge part, and the broken hole edge part is clamped between the base and the bottom plate when the base is fixed on the first broken hole, so that the thin film circuit board is fixedly arranged on the bottom plate; and
the supporting mechanism is connected between the base and the keycap, so that the keycap can move up and down relative to the bottom plate along with the supporting mechanism.
As an alternative technical scheme, the thin film circuit board is arranged on the bottom plate and is positioned between the bottom plate and the keycap, the base is provided with an upper clamping skirt edge and a lower clamping skirt edge, and the upper clamping skirt edge and the lower clamping skirt edge press the edge part of the broken hole up and down when the base is fixed on the first broken hole.
As an optional technical scheme, the size of the second hole is smaller than that of the first hole, and when the upper clamping skirt edge and the lower clamping skirt edge clamp the edge part of the hole, the lower clamping skirt edge is positioned in the first hole.
As an optional technical scheme, the thin film circuit board is disposed below the bottom plate, the base has an upper clamping skirt edge and a lower clamping skirt edge, and when the base is fixed on the first hole, the upper clamping skirt edge clamps the bottom plate and the lower clamping skirt edge clamps the hole edge, so that the bottom plate and the lower clamping skirt edge clamp the hole edge up and down.
As an alternative solution, the size of the second hole is equal to the size of the first hole; or when the upper clamping skirt edge clamps the bottom plate and the lower clamping skirt edge clamps the edge part of the broken hole, the base is abutted against the inner side surfaces of the first broken hole and the second broken hole.
As an alternative technical scheme, the supporting mechanism is a scissor-leg lifting mechanism or a butterfly lifting mechanism.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is also provided a keyboard comprising:
a bottom plate having a plurality of first apertures;
the thin film circuit board is provided with a plurality of second broken holes corresponding to the first broken holes, and each second broken hole is provided with a broken hole edge part; and
a plurality of keys, each key comprising:
a key cap;
the base is fixed on the corresponding first broken hole in a hot melt molding or embedded injection molding mode and clamps the corresponding edge part of the broken hole together with the bottom plate, so that the thin film circuit board is fixedly arranged on the bottom plate; and
the supporting mechanism is connected between the base and the keycap, so that the keycap can move up and down relative to the bottom plate along with the supporting mechanism.
As an optional technical scheme, the thin film circuit board is disposed on the bottom plate and located between the bottom plate and the keycap, the base is provided with an upper clamping skirt edge and a lower clamping skirt edge, and the upper clamping skirt edge and the lower clamping skirt edge press the corresponding broken hole edge part up and down when the base is fixed on the first broken hole.
As an optional technical scheme, the thin film circuit board is disposed below the bottom plate, the base has an upper clamping skirt and a lower clamping skirt, and when the base is fixed on the first hole, the upper clamping skirt clamps the bottom plate and the lower clamping skirt clamps corresponding hole breaking edge portions, so that the bottom plate and the lower clamping skirt clamp corresponding hole breaking edge portions up and down.
As an alternative technical scheme, the supporting mechanism is a scissor-leg lifting mechanism or a butterfly lifting mechanism.
In summary, with the above design, if the user carelessly spills the liquid (such as water, beverage, etc.) on the keyboard during the operation of the keyboard, the liquid is prevented from flowing into the membrane gap of the thin film circuit board from the edge of the second hole due to the edge of the second hole being clamped between the base and the bottom plate, so that the short-circuit damage of the thin film circuit board is effectively avoided.
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawings and specific examples, which are not intended to limit the invention thereto.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1, a perspective view of a keyboard 10 according to an embodiment of the invention is shown. As shown in fig. 1, the keyboard 10 includes a base plate 12, a thin film circuit board 14, and a plurality of keys 16. The key 16 and the thin film circuit board 14 are disposed on the base plate 12, and the key 16 is used for being pressed by a user to perform a function desired to be input by the user. The base design proposed by the present invention can be applied to each key 16, and the following description will be made only for one key 16 having this design, and so on for the structural design of other keys 16.
Referring to fig. 1, 2 and 3, fig. 2 is an enlarged schematic view of the key 16 in fig. 1, and fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the key 16 along the section line A-A in fig. 2, wherein other elements (such as the key cap 22) of the key 16 are omitted in fig. 2 for clearly showing the arrangement relationship between the base 24 and the supporting mechanism 26, the thin film circuit board 14 and the base plate 12. As shown in fig. 1, 2 and 3, the base plate 12 has a plurality of first through holes 18 (only one is shown in fig. 3, and so on for the relevant description of the remaining first through holes 18), the thin film circuit board 14 has a plurality of second through holes 20 (only one is shown in fig. 3, and so on for the relevant description of the remaining second through holes 20) corresponding to the plurality of first through holes 18, and each second through hole 20 has a through hole edge portion 21. The key 16 includes a key cap 22, at least one base 24 (four are shown in fig. 2, but not limited thereto), and a supporting mechanism 26. In this embodiment, the supporting mechanism 26 may preferably be a scissors-foot lifting mechanism (but not limited thereto, it may also be other common key lifting mechanisms, such as a butterfly lifting mechanism) and is connected between the base 24 and the key cap 22, so that the key cap 22 can move up and down with the supporting mechanism 26 relative to the base plate 12 for being pressed by a user to perform a function desired by the user. As for the connection design of the support mechanism 26 and the key cap 22 and the base 24, it is common in the prior art and will not be described herein.
In this embodiment, the thin film circuit board 14 is disposed on the base plate 12 and between the base plate 12 and the key cap 22, and the base plate 24 may be fixed to the first hole 18 by hot melt molding (hot melt molding) or insert injection molding (insert molding) and clamp the hole edge portion 21 of the second hole 20 together with the base plate 12 to fix the thin film circuit board 14 to the base plate 12, and in brief, the base plate 12 and the thin film circuit board 14 may be simultaneously placed in the molding mold during the molding process to fix the base plate 24 to the base plate 12, so that the hole edge portion 21 of the second hole 20 is clamped between the base plate 24 and the base plate 12 when the base plate 24 is fixed to the first hole 18 through the molding process, thereby fixing the thin film circuit board 14 to the base plate 12. In more detail, in this embodiment, the base 24 has an upper clamping skirt 23 and a lower clamping skirt 25 corresponding to the first hole 18, so that, as shown in fig. 3, when the base 24 is fixed to the first hole 18 through the molding process, the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 clamp the hole edge portion 21 up and down, thereby fixing the thin film circuit board 14 to the bottom plate 12.
In this embodiment, the vertical projection of the second hole 20 on the bottom plate 12 is located in the vertical projection of the first hole 18 on the bottom plate 12, that is, the size of the second hole 20 is smaller than that of the first hole 18, and when the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 clamp the hole edge portion 21 up and down, the lower clamping skirt 25 can be located in the first hole 18. Meanwhile, the cross section of the base 24 between the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 is equal to the size of the second broken hole 20, so that the base 24 between the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 can be abutted against the inner side surface of the second broken hole 20. In practice, the size of the second hole 20 may be the same as the size of the first hole 18, and the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 clamp the thin film circuit board 14 and the bottom plate 12 therebetween.
Through the above design, if the user carelessly spills the liquid (such as water, beverage, etc.) on the keyboard 10 during the operation of the keyboard 10, the liquid is prevented from flowing into the membrane gap of the thin film circuit board 14 from the hole-breaking edge portion 21 of the second hole-breaking portion 20 because the hole-breaking edge portion 21 of the thin film circuit board 14 is clamped by the upper clamping skirt 23 and the lower clamping skirt 25 of the base 24, thereby effectively avoiding the occurrence of short-circuit damage of the thin film circuit board 14.
It should be noted that the configuration of the thin film circuit board adopted in the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, for example, please refer to fig. 4, which is a schematic cross-sectional view of the key 16 'of the keyboard 10' according to another embodiment of the present invention, wherein the elements in the embodiment have the same numbers as those in the above embodiment, and the elements have the same structure or function, and their description is omitted herein. In this embodiment, the keyboard 10 'includes a bottom plate 12', a thin film circuit board 14', and a plurality of keys 16', the keys 16 'including a keycap 22 (not shown in FIG. 4), a base 24', and a support mechanism 26. The supporting mechanism 26 is connected between the base 24 'and the keycap 22, so that the keycap 22 can move up and down with the supporting mechanism 26 relative to the bottom plate 12' for being pressed by a user to perform a function desired by the user. The thin film circuit board 14 'is disposed under the bottom plate 12', and the base 24 'may be fixed to the first hole 18 by hot melt molding or insert injection molding, and the hole edge 21 of the second hole 20 is clamped together with the bottom plate 12', so that the thin film circuit board 14 'is fixed to the bottom plate 12'. In more detail, in this embodiment, the base 24' has an upper clamping skirt 23' and a lower clamping skirt 25' corresponding to the first hole 18, so that, as shown in fig. 4, when the base 24' is fixed to the first hole 18 through the above-mentioned molding process, the upper clamping skirt 23' and the lower clamping skirt 25' clamp the bottom plate 12' and the hole edge 21, respectively, so that the bottom plate 12' and the lower clamping skirt 25' clamp the hole edge 21 up and down, thereby fixing the thin film circuit board 14' to the bottom plate 12'.
In this embodiment, the vertical projection of the second hole 20 on the bottom plate 12 overlaps with the vertical projection of the first hole 18 on the bottom plate 12, and the size of the second hole 20 is equal to the size of the first hole 18. Further, the cross section of the seat 24' between the upper clamp skirt 23' and the lower clamp skirt 25' is equal and equal to the size of the first and second apertures 18, 20. In practical operation, the upper clamping skirt 23' and the lower clamping skirt 25' may be abutted against the inner sides of the first hole 18 and the second hole 20 when clamping the hole edge 21 of the second hole 20 and the bottom plate 12'.
Through the above design, if the user carelessly spills the liquid (such as water, beverage, etc.) on the keyboard 10' during the operation of the keyboard 10', the liquid is prevented from flowing into the membrane gap of the thin film circuit board 14' from the hole-breaking edge portion 21 of the second hole-breaking portion 20 of the thin film circuit board 14' because the hole-breaking edge portion 21 of the thin film circuit board 14' is clamped by the bottom plate 12' and the lower clamping skirt 25' of the base 24', thereby effectively avoiding the occurrence of short-circuit damage of the thin film circuit board 14 '.
The foregoing description is only of the preferred embodiments of the invention, and all changes and modifications that come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein.
