Description

Wood golf club head and wood golf club
Technical Field
The present invention relates to wood golf club heads and wood golf clubs.
Background
As a wood golf club head, a club head has been proposed in which a weight is disposed behind the club head (on the opposite side of the face) in order to determine the position of the center of gravity of the entire club head (for example, japanese patent application laid-open No. 2004-519284).

Disclosure of Invention
Technical problem to be solved by the invention
In the golf club head disclosed in the above publication, there are cases where the operability at the time of striking the ball is not satisfied depending on the player because the center of gravity position of the entire head is located behind the head.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head having high operability when a player hits a ball, and a golf club including the same.
Technical scheme for solving technical problems
In order to solve the above-described problems, a wood-type golf club head according to an embodiment of the present invention is a wood-type golf club head comprising a face portion, a crown portion, and a sole portion, wherein a weight region on a face side of the sole portion is located below a center of gravity position of the face portion, and a mass of the weight region is 0.055 or more with respect to a mass of a club head body.
Preferably, the face portion includes a face having a center of gravity at the face position and a pair of upper and lower thin portions provided above and below the face.
Preferably, the maximum thickness of the face is 2.4mm or less.
Preferably, the corners of the face portion and the sole portion are formed thick.
Preferably, a thick-walled member separate from the body of the face portion and the sole portion is attached to a corner portion of the face portion and the sole portion.
Another embodiment of the wood-type golf club according to the present invention, which has been made to solve the above-described problems, includes the golf club head having the above-described configuration and a shaft attached to the golf club head.
The "face gravity center position" refers to a point at which a normal line of the face passing through the gravity center of the entire head intersects the face. The "weight region" is a region located below the plane a and in front of the plane B (the face side) when a plane passing through the center of gravity G on the face and perpendicular to the face inclination angle is moved downward (the sole side) by 20mm along the face inclination angle as a plane a, and a plane passing through the center of gravity on the face and tangential to the face inclination angle is moved rearward by 20mm along the tangential line as a plane B (refer to fig. 1).
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
In the wood golf club head and the wood golf club of the present invention, the center of gravity of the head as a whole is low and located on the face side, so that the player's operability in hitting a ball is high.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
First embodiment
< Golf club >)
Fig. 1 to 3 show a wood golf club according to an embodiment of the present invention (hereinafter, there is a case of simply called a golf club). The golf club of the present embodiment includes a golf club head 1 and a shaft 50 attached to the golf club head. The shaft 50 is not particularly limited, and a conventionally known shaft 50 can be used.
< Golf club head >)
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the golf club head 1 includes a head body 2 having a face portion 3, a sole portion (bottom surface) 4, a crown portion (top surface) 5, and a neck portion 7 having a shaft hole 6 through which a shaft 50 is inserted and fixed.
The average thickness of the stem floor 4 and crown 5 is not less than 0.5mm, but is not particularly limited.
Generally, the mass of the head body 2 of the golf club head 1 is 160g or more and 215g or less.
As shown in fig. 2, the face portion 3 includes a face 3c having a face center of gravity position and constituting a ball striking face, a pair of upper and lower thin portions 3a,3b provided above and below the face 3c, and a weight portion 3d provided between a lower portion of the lower thin portion 3b and the sole portion 4. The weight portion 3d is continuous from the lower thin portion 3b and is formed thick. The weight portion 3d constitutes a weight region of the golf club head 1 described later.
The ratio of the mass of the weight region formed by the weight portion 3d to the mass of the entire head is 0.055 or more. Preferably, the lower limit of the ratio is 0.065. As described above, the "weight region" refers to a region located below and forward (toward the sole side) of the plane a when a plane passing through the center of gravity G on the sole and perpendicular to the inclination angle of the sole is moved downward (toward the sole side) by 20mm along the inclination angle of the sole is referred to as a plane a, and a plane passing through the center of gravity on the sole and tangential to the inclination angle of the sole is moved rearward by 20mm along the tangential line is referred to as a plane B (see fig. 1 for reference numerals).
The weight region preferably has a mass of 10g or more, more preferably 12g or more, and still more preferably 13g or more. This can improve the operability of the player when hitting a ball.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, the weight portions 3d are disposed substantially uniformly throughout the entire left-right direction (disposed uniformly throughout the lower portion).
In the present embodiment, the weight portion 3d is formed by providing a part of the face portion 3 and the sole portion 4 with thick walls.
The maximum thickness D3 of the face 3c is preferably 2.4mm or less. The upper limit is preferably 2.2mm, more preferably 2.1mm. As described above, although the rebound force of the face portion 3 may be reduced by disposing the weight portion 3D at the lower portion of the face portion 3, a sufficient rebound force can be obtained by controlling the upper limit of the maximum thickness D3 of the face portion 3 c. The lower limit of the maximum thickness D3 of the face 3c is not particularly limited, and is, for example, 1.3mm.
Other embodiments
The foregoing embodiments are not intended to limit the constitution of the present invention. Therefore, the above-described embodiments can omit, replace, or add constituent elements of each part of the above-described embodiments based on the description of the present specification and the technical common knowledge, and should be interpreted as falling within the scope of the present invention.
In the foregoing embodiment, the case where the weight portion is disposed in the entire lower portion has been described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, as shown in fig. 4, the weight portion 3d may be provided at the center in the left-right direction. As shown in fig. 5, the counterweight portion 3d may be arranged in a pair (not in the center) on the left and right sides. The counterweight portion 3d may be provided on one of the left and right sides.
In the present embodiment described above, the case where the weight portion is formed by making the corner portion of the face portion and the sole portion thick has been described, and as shown in fig. 6, a structure may be adopted in which a thick member 3e that is separate from the main body of the face portion 3 and the sole portion 4 is attached to the corner portion of the face portion 3 and the sole portion 4.
