Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the description, a detailed description of the related known functions or configurations will be omitted when it is considered that the gist of the present invention is unnecessarily obscured. Also, terms used in the present specification to accurately describe the embodiments may be different according to the intention of a user, an operator, or a convention in the art to which the present invention pertains. Accordingly, the definition of terms should be based on the entire specification. Like reference symbols in the various drawings indicate like elements.
Throughout the specification, when it is stated that a certain component is "on" another component, it includes not only the case where one component is in contact with another component but also the case where another component is interposed between two components.
Throughout the specification, when a portion is stated as "comprising" a certain component, it is intended that the other component be included, but not excluded.
Throughout the specification, the terms "upstream" and "downstream" are defined as follows: when a user inhales outside air using a smoking article, the portion of air flowing from the outside to the inside of the smoking article is "upstream", and the portion of air flowing from the inside to the outside of the smoking article including a combustible heat source is "downstream". "upstream" and "downstream" are used to indicate relative positions or orientations between portions of the smoking article.
Cigar paper for combustion smoking articles has a tensile strength of 80cN/mm or less and breakage of the paper when applied to heated smoking articles. In the process of producing a finished tobacco paper by including cigar tobacco leaves, it is difficult to achieve uniform proportioning, and after a primary process of producing a tobacco sheet, it is also necessary to prepare pulp by a secondary process, so that it is very inconvenient to perform two processes. In addition, during the execution of the corresponding process, the components contained in the cigarette paper are lost, and the peculiar taste of cigars is reduced.
To this end, the present invention developed cigar paper that can be smoked using a heated smoking device while maintaining the unique taste and flavor of cigars.
The cigar wrapper and the smoking article comprising the same according to the invention will now be described in detail with reference to the examples and the accompanying drawings. The present invention is not limited to the following examples.
The present invention provides cigar wrapper which is a cigar wrapper for wrapping smoking articles, the cigar wrapper comprising more than 50% by weight cigar tobacco leaves, the smoking articles being heated smoking articles.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar wrapper contains more than 50% by weight cigar tobacco leaves. Thus, the smoking article of the present invention is capable of having cigar-specific smoke and taste. When the content of the cigar tobacco leaves is less than 50 weight percent, the peculiar smell and taste of cigar are insufficient, and the nicotine transfer is affected. More preferably, from 50 to 66% by weight of cigar tobacco leaves may be included.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper has a tensile strength of 120cN/mm or more. Thus, the cigar wrapper may be suitable for use in a heated smoking article. Since the cigar paper has a tensile strength of 120cN/mm or more, when applied to smoking articles, breakage phenomenon does not occur during the process, and workability can be greatly improved. When the tensile strength is less than 120cN/mm, the workability is greatly reduced, and breakage may occur when the material is used in a heated type smoking device.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar wrapper has a weight of 40 to 80g/m 2 Is based on the weight of the substrate. When the basis weight of the cigar paper is lower than 40g/m 2 Insufficient to support and retain shape of other materials of the smoking article; when it exceeds 80g/m 2 In this case, as the elasticity of paper increases, problems such as insufficient adhesion and the like occur in the production of smoking articles, and the process cannot be successfully completed, thereby deteriorating the workability.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper has a thickness of 50 to 180 um. When the cigar paper is less than 50um thick, it is insufficient to support other materials of the smoking article and retain shape; when the thickness exceeds 180 μm, problems such as insufficient adhesion and the like occur in manufacturing a smoking article, and the workability is lowered as the elasticity of the paper increases.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper has an elongation of 0.5 to 3%. When the elongation of the cigar paper is lower than 0.5%, breakage occurs during the manufacture of the smoking article, and the processability is affected; when the elongation exceeds 3%, it is insufficient to support other materials of the smoking article and maintain the shape due to the excessive elongation.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper has a porosity of 20 to 80 CU. The porosity is shown as Coresta units (Coresta Unit, CU), meaning that the porous material passes 1cm at a pressure of 1kPa 2 Air volume flow value (cm) of sample 3 /cm 2 Min at 1 kPa). When the porosity of the cigar paper is below 20CU (cm) 3 /cm 2 Min at 1 kPa), external air cannot flow well when the smoking article is used, which may affect the taste during smoking; when the porosity exceeds 80CU (cm) 3 /cm 2 Min at 1 kPa), excessive air inflow due to excessive porosity may reduce the smoking property (smoking quality) of the smoking article, and a problem of empty smoking may occur. More preferably, the cigar of the inventionThe smoking article has a good taste when the paper has a porosity of 50CU to 80 CU.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper has a Surface Smoothness (SS) of 5 to 15 and a back smoothness (RS) of 5 to 15. When the Surface Smoothness (SS) of the smoking article is less than 5, the processability is lowered; when it exceeds 15, preference is lowered due to lack of characteristic features of cigar tobacco leaves. When the back surface smoothness (RS) is less than 5, the adhesive is not easily applied when the smoking article is manufactured, resulting in a problem that the adhesive breaks; when the number exceeds 15, the cut tobacco tends to slip, and there is a lack of uniformity in packaging the cut tobacco.
The Smoothness is measured by the method of the brookfield method (Bekk Smoothness), which measures the air flow between the paper and the ideal plane, the greater the number per unit time (seconds) the smoother. The cigar paper is different from the common paper in that the smoothness of the cigar tobacco leaves is lower than that of the common paper, but when the smoothness is lower than 5, the cigar paper can be blocked when a smoking article is manufactured, and the processability is reduced; when it exceeds 15, preference is lowered due to lack of characteristic features of cigar tobacco leaves.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar paper is made by mixing pulp components with cigar leaves. The pulp component of the cigar paper may include one or more of hard pulp (hardwood pulp) and soft pulp (softwood pulp). The pulp may include only one of the hard pulp and the soft pulp, or may be in the range of 0.1 to 99.9:99.9 to 0.1, preferably, may be mixed in a weight ratio of 20 to 80: the weight ratio of 80 to 20 mixes the hard slurry and the soft slurry. Within the preferred ranges, there may be a tensile strength suitable for use in a heated smoking article. The more the contained hard pulp is, the larger the tensile strength is, but the problem that the elongation is increased and cigar tobacco leaves fall off is solved; conversely, when the more soft pulp is contained, the problems of elongation and drop of cigar tobacco leaves are reduced, but the tensile strength is also reduced, so that the reasonable proportion is suitable.
The cigar leaves used for the cigarette paper are mainly cigar leaf main veins, and almost no cigar leaf tongue is included. The cigar leaf main vein is included to be 90% by weight or more with respect to the whole of 100% by weight of cigar leaf, and the cigar leaf tongue is less than 1% by weight, substantially including almost no cigar leaf tongue.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the cigar wrapper may comprise a print of a leaf-stem shape similar to cigars. The printing method is not particularly limited as long as it is applicable to smoking articles.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing cigar wrapper wrapped around a smoking article, comprising the steps of: pulping cigar tobacco leaves (step S1), pulping paper pulp (step S2), and mixing cigar tobacco leaves subjected to pulping treatment in the steps S1 and S2 with the paper pulp (step S3); making paper from the mixed cigar tobacco leaves and paper pulp (step S4); the smoking article is a heated smoking article.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the steps S1 and S2 may be separately performed. In the invention, after the step S1 and the step S2 are independently executed, cigar tobacco leaves which are respectively pulped are mixed with paper pulp in the step S3, so that uniform proportioning can be realized, and the processing convenience can be improved and the processing time can be shortened due to simple procedures.
In addition, as the beating treatment is carried out independently, the dissolution of nicotine from cigar tobacco leaves can be reduced, and the nicotine transfer amount of the smoking product can be improved.
The manufacturing method of the present invention can be realized by a usual papermaking process. The usual papermaking process is performed by the sequence of a pulping process, a preparing process, a papermaking process, a processing process and a paper forming process.
The pulping process is a process of separating fibers from wood or other fiber plants by mechanical, chemical treatment, or the like; the preparation step is a step of preparing a material required in the papermaking step, and is performed by dissociation, beating, screening, and a part of the material is subjected to a drug treatment to be used in the papermaking step.
Such pulp is obtained by cutting logs into uniform sizes, peeling them in a barker (barker), grinding them in a mill (grinder) together with water, and screening (screen) for impurities.
The papermaking process is a process of papermaking the paper stock screened in the preparation process, and the papermaking process simply comprises the following steps: making paper sheets by uniformly spraying and dispensing the paper stock; mechanically compressing and dehydrating the sheet-like paper material through a compression roller; drying the sheet paper material by utilizing steam; after the thickness of the paper is adjusted by the roller and the surface is smoothed, the paper is subjected to a subsequent continuous process or is processed by a separate processing apparatus. The coiling can also be performed after drying or calendaring without the processing procedure.
In this case, the papermaking process may be classified into fourdrinier papermaking and cylinder papermaking. In the process of forming the paper layer, the wire section is a fourdrinier wire machine when formed as an endless wire, and the wire section is a cylinder wire machine when formed as a cylindrical wire.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the papermaking process of step S4 may be performed using a fourdrinier or a cylinder machine. Although both cylinder and fourdrinier wires may be used, cylinder paper machines are preferred to make the cigarette paper more efficient.
According to another embodiment of the invention, after the completion of the paper making process of step S4, a step S5 of calendering cigar paper may be further included. The calendering is performed off-line or on-line, by which the printability and the tensile strength can be improved.
According to another embodiment of the invention, a step S6 of printing the leaf stalk shape may be further included after said step S5. The printing method is not particularly limited as long as it is applicable to smoking articles.
Also, the invention may provide a smoking article comprising said cigar wrapper.
According to another embodiment of the invention there is provided a smoking article comprising: a smoking material portion, a cooling portion downstream of the smoking material portion, and a filter rod portion downstream of the cooling portion; also included are smoking articles of cigar wrapper wrapped around the smoking article.
